I couldn't sleep tonight and found myself watching the TurboJam infomercial... I have been trouble getting motivated to work toward losing the extra weight i've gained. I recently ordered 3 dvds off Amazon and they hadn't been sent yet. I was very sceptical of TurboJam, but I found this forum and it sounds like you ladies really love the program. I cancelled my order on Amazon and ordered TJ! Thanks Txcharlotte you're codes saved me 10%! I'm so excited for it to come! I think this may be what I need to get back into the swing of things!

I have been doing the TJ for 3 weeks now. I also followed the 10 day jump start diet...as close as I possible could.
The scale has hardly budged...but I think my clothes are getting looser. Yesterday, I switched things around and actually tried the Ab Jam (first time). Oh MY!! I feel muscles in my rear that I never knew were there (I thought that was all just flab *grin*). It's been said over and over in this topic. These tapes work you and make you sweat...and it is so true. LOVE THEM!! Now...to start seeing those pounds melt off would be even better *wink* |
Watch out for added costs on your card if you order Turbo Jam. After I had turbo jam about a month I was looking online at my card statement and noticed two withdrawals from beachbody. Both were for a little over $9. I thought, what the heck. So I called them. It seems that when you buy the dvds you are signed up for their online help automatically. This is not free. If you do not want it you must call them and unsubscribe. I missed this somehow and was not very happy over the additional charges. I had never used this service and I hate it when I am signed up for anything automatically just because I want to buy the product. I thought I would mention this as there may be other budget minded people out there that do not appreciating losing any money.

Thanks I appreciate the heads up! I will keep an eye out for it. How did you like the work out itself? Did you find it challenging and see results?

Candace I was thinking about ordering the Turbo jam DVDS and your post just convinced me not to. Extra charges like that are a scam and not somthing I would want to deal with!

Knock on wood, I've never had a problem but that is AWFUL. I know there are people that won't order from Beachbody because of their customer service. I hope more people complain because maybe they will finally get it that they would have more people buying their products if they had top notch customer service. There are a few people that you can contact at BB that will take care of any problems. I would NOT do the live chat - ordering or discussing problems for sure.
I am going to mention that extra charge on my BB message board I visit to see if this is something new or if you ended up with one bad CS rep. Rachelle |
I'm going to ask here too
This dvd sounds interesting. I look forward to trying it some time.
If you had to pick a beginner Tae Bo what would it/they be? Then, what would qualify as an intermediate and advance level? I'm interested in Tae Bo, but am not sure where to start. I'm pretty good at the beginner level (step aerobics, watp, and denise austin). I cycle 20mi too. I look forward to all your suggestions. |
I've never had a problem when ordering from beachbody, ive ordered the slim n 6 and the power 90 series and numerous upgrade packages, i think the key is to order online instead of over the phone that way u see what u are getting and there is no human error and ive never had any additional charges. I now have the turbo basic series plus cardio party 2, lower body sculpt, cardio party remix and booty scupt plus abs, i think the workout are great they really give you the toning and cardio u need to lose weight fast, the simple key to it is eating right and drink plenty of water, i also recommend green tea supplements for the extra energy. About taebo it is not for beginners to start with the new boot camp, if i had to recommend a starting point i would say the capture the power series is better to start with taebo can be fun but some are the moves are difficult if the person is out of shape.

Okay so I finally got my Turbo Jam DVD yesterday and tried it this morning. I have to say WOW!!! I am hooked! I'm going to have to fit this in my Taebo rotation that I do. I can see this really working. I just got Cardio Party 2 - I wanted Bootcamp Elite and I couldn't get both sets so I just settled for one TJ dvd.
|
When buying the upgrade sets for turbo jam look for the specials, there is a single dvd cardio party 2 for 19.99 but the special for cardio party 2 and lower body sculpt is 29.90 so u save money, also there is an special for cardio party remix and booty sculpt together for 24.95 instead of 19.99 individually. FYI

Okay, I have a question...
I just got Turbo Jam over the weekend and have done the learn & burn until tonight when I tried to do the 20 minute workout. I thought I got the moves pretty good on the learn and burn and thought I could move on. Holy Cow! I can't keep up with it. It's not that I can't do high intensity workouts, I just can't keep up with the steps! She moves so quickly from move to move, by the time I get it down she's on to another move. I didn't get much of a workout at all because I felt like I couldn't do what they were doing. Can someone tell me if they had this problem when they first started? Do you just have to keep trying to do it over and over again until it eventually clicks? I can see how it would be a great workout, but you have to know the moves to do it. Unfortunately, I won't get the workout I want until I do catch on. How long did it take for everyone to catch on to it? I never considered myself uncoordinated, but I sure felt that way tonight. HELP!!!! Diane |
Don't give up Diane. I would do the learn and burn a few times (I like to add that one on to the 20 minute workout every once in awhile - according to my heart rate monitor, I can burn a few calories with just the L&B!!!). Then just start adding the 20 Minute one on - even if you just do it for a few minutes at a time. It will come. I actually find TJ easier to learn because Chalene adds moves on and then goes back and repeats them over again.
Just give it time, it will come and you will be having a blast. It is a great workout and you are getting a workout just trying it - even if you can't finish the whole thing. I'll be curious to know how it is coming in a couple of weeks!!!! You'll be surprised. The big thing is not to get frustrated and quit!!!! If it helps, do the Learn and Burn then add on the first 5 minutes of TJ and rewind the first section to go over the moves again and just concentrate on that then the next night, add on the next section and rewind . . . the more you do it, the easier it will become. Good luck!!!! Rachelle |
Hi everyone,
I've been following this thread for awhile trying to make up my mind about this video. I finally ordered my set last week and am ANXIOUSLY waiting for its delivery. Thank you all for your words of advice |
I should be receiving my TJ today. I called yesterday to find out where it was and they said it would be here today. I'll let you know if I have trouble getting started with it. I'm so anxious![
|
Thanks for the advice, Rachelle! I will do that and let you know how it goes. I want to learn it because it looks like so much fun. I'll get it eventually, I promise!
