Oh, Gawd, I did this last night, too. Leftover meatloaf that was just too tasty. I took one slice and ended up eating 3/4's of another because I didn't want to save it (not enough to save) and I didn't want to throw it out (too yummy to do that). So I ate it.....I felt so icky all evening after that. But, I didn't gain, so I'll keep it in perspective. Today, I'll do much better.

I can't go into work just yet today. My DH called, we're without power, so I'm here at home until he calls to say we have power. I feel kinda trapped. I really can't go and do a nice long walk because he might call and I'll have to go in......So, I'll take DS to school, get some gas in the car and come home and do little odd jobs to keep myself busy.....

I've been stuck at more or less the same weight for almost a month now. I took a look back at my old diet log to see what I did that made me lose weight. I think it was mainly exercise--I was doing step aerobics then, which I don’t do now because of my knee. I’m having a really hard time adjusting my food intake to my activity level. To make me feel better about how far I've come, I decided to change my ticker to show my high weight of 165 from a few years ago and my true goal of 125. I'm exactly in the middle. My weight was lower last year, but at least I didn’t gain it all back.

Well, no excuses. Time to ride the bike.

Becky ... it's fabulous to have those records to look back at when you're stuck and I'm happy you've found something to work at. Good Job!

I went yesterday to have a good look at my Mom. She's called twice and left messages that sounded tired and dreary. She looks fine. I have a suspicion that her problem is blood sugars too. I wish she had a little monitor at home but insists that she eats well and doesn't need one. She also said that the pain was in her back between her shoulder blades. I've encouraged her to try to find a massage therapist. If nothing else, it'll feel wonderful!
I've tended to many many older women in my day and our shoulders can be an enormous problem. That aging womanly slump ... ya know? It can cause everything from chest pain, shortness of breath, indigestion, tingling pinkie fingers ... I feel very strongly that we have to take care of our upper backs.

That's my little soap box for the day!

You made me sit up!

My eating's hitting a bump in the road. I just want to fill my face! I'm trying really hard to do it right. I seem to be snacking through the day constantly. At least today it's been apples, pineapple, strawberries and carrot sticks! That's between my 6 meals Ah well, we're off camping tomorrow so that will be an eating adventure! I promise I'm only going to eat one famous Severn Valley Railway caramel slice! In fact I might get there and since it's been so many years since I've had one, they might just not taste like I think they do!

Hopefully I'll feel better after a little exercise. I'm well in the mood for it!!! I've not been to the gym since Monday for one reason or another. Today I will try my hardest hardest and look like the scary girl in the picture http://uk.geocities.com/shentiekickb...rofilejen.html

2f is that YOU???? Get outta here! You really are a featherweight!

Susan, I hope your mom's problem isn't her blood sugar. Maybe you could mention it to her doctor sometime. Sounds like you know something about caring for older folks. You made me sit up straight, too!

Yeah that's sexy old me with my messy hair! (Like I'd been sparring! )

Today we're camping for the weekend. that I eat ok. Next week I am going back on the wagon with a vengance. I am going to work SO HARD and work out SO MUCH!!!! I have a free weekend next weekend, so I will enjoy that and enjoy doing some private kickboxing lessons. This weekend I think I'm just going to have to keep my eye out for foods that will be damage limitation. I can't promise to eat clean when I'm eating out all weekend I can try though

I'm going to work in just a few minutes and then I have a date with the trim in my livingroom. Since we painted the walls, it looks bad!

It'll be mindful eating for me this weekend too.

Ilene, Jazzbird, SusanB. and Alinnell, thanks for your great reponses to my question about stopping when full. I'm giving it my best shot. The great news is that I'm back in control again with a great week. Maybe that scale will finally move down again.

2F, You look fabulous!!

Here's to the rest of September, which is flying right by us.

This is a really busy week. I've got a big paper due on Saturday and one member of the group bailed out today. I worked all day and didn't even think about food until an hour ago. Now I remember why I was so thin when I was in college.

Hello everyone! Still holding at 121, which is one pound away from Drs goal and about 6 pounds away from mine (I'm giving myself a 5# leverage for maintenance).

This month has been steroids, adding extra calories here and there, and adding weight training to my exercise repetoire; all of these could be "blamed" for the plateau that I'm experiencing. I seem to have plateaus about every 10 pounds lost that last for about a month before the weight starts sliding on down. So I will continue on plan with both eating and exercising, just watching the calorie intake a little more closely.

Hope everyone else is doing well. Best to you Winni at your appt today. And to you Jazzbird on your paper Saturday.

Thanks softballmom. I'm hanging in there, one day at a time. Your weight loss is fantastic! I know what you mean about the plateaus. They just seem to insert themselves into your carefully planned diet for no reason. Then they go away. C'est la vie!

Wide, sounds like you've been through it. Take care of yourself.

Do you all know what a jelly ring is? fuzzy peach slice? Don't go anywhere near the bag! You can't eat just one!
I had a good number of calories today but the quality leaves much to be desired!
