Hi Feathers!

I haven't stopped in the Feathers chat for a looong time. I am bummed at my incredibly slow weight loss (coupled with rapid gain when off plan). Didn't want to be a whiner :blah:

I've got a diet plan in place, now I just have to figure out how to get more activity back in my life. Hoping this is going to translate into pounds lost. I need to lose around 5 to be in my semi-acceptable zone... hoping that getting back to posting my weigh-ins will help keep me accountable.

SW: 150.6
GW: 145.6, which honestly would be an unusually successful month for me

May 1 - 150.6 (+0.6 from yesterday, booo) ummm... on a whim I stepped on the scale like an hour later and it said 149.6, a whole pound less, and nothing major happened in between if you know what I mean ;). Weight is WEIRD. I hate that I care about the scale number at all...

AHHHH so excited! Made it out of the 120's for the start of the month! Goal for the month is to get to my GW of 118 (though I might alter that to 115). Either way, what a great day! :D

I don't know what I did, but I'll take it. It's been a hectic few weeks with the end of the semester. Hunger, I think I've doing been your alternate fasting lifestyle- I do breakfast and light dinner Monday-Friday and then eat more normally during the weekend. I'm also on my feet more outside with the kiddies at my center and drinking a lot of water.

By the end of May, I would like to be 145 lbs. I think I can continue losing 5 lbs a month for now. Might re-evaluate next month.

And now... I get to go see Avengers with my husband. Our first date in a while!

So I'm calling it three pounds down for April. REALLY want to lose another 3 for May and end the month at 125.0. Who knows? Could happen....

Eilidh - Congratulation - you're in the one teens! :congrat: That's a major accomplishment. ;)

CrunchyMama - Sounds like you're getting into a good groove with family and work and diet. Staying constructively busy - there's nothing more important than taking care of our precious children, imo - serves a lotta positive purposes!

Looks like we're all off to a terrific start!

same7 - you are my dream weight :love: And you probably look great since you are so active...

Looking back, I looked pretty good at that weight! My last low was 129 to be exact. But I was still flabby. I have a whole staged plan on how I am "getting in shape" this time, building strength and not just reducing my weight. I will do C25K again, but not until I am around 140-145 pounds, because surprisingly enough those 10 or so extra pounds make it soooo much harder to run.

Hi all! I hope I can jump in here - I just joined today, needing to keep my motivation! I have a 1 year old baby and it's taken me SOOOO long to lose the baby weight, but no more excuses now, she isn't an infant anymore! Over the past 9 months I've lost 20 lbs, and I am now at my pre-pregnancy weight, but I have 7-8 lbs additional lbs I want to lose to hit my goal.

I took my measurements today and actually logged back into my WW account, and came up with a new running plan. So, here is my first May weigh in!

4 May: 153.4

Glad your hips are feeling better! :hug: I have pain in my right one sometimes. It comes and goes. I take glucosamine and MSM, and do yoga, hoping those will help, but I'm not truly sure what makes the difference.

Whoa, Eilidh, another pound! :high: That is great. ;) I wanted to post here what your plan is, so people will be aware of how you achieve these goals. It's super-interesting to see what works!

From your post in the Calorie Counters Forum:

I eat 1250 a day and always feel completely full and happy, I find it quite a liveable amount!

Here's a typical day of things I eat but I change it up quite a lot -

Breakfast -
Slim bagel (120 cal)
Fried egg (70 cal)
200ml unsweetened almond milk (26 cal) blended with 60g raspberries (16 cal) and 50g banana (45 cal)

Lunch -
300g of soup that totals under 200 cal (so any flavour as long as it is under 200)
Pink lady apple (approx 80 cal)

Dinner -
130g couscous (180 cal)
5 quorn meatballs (100 cal)
150g steamed aspargus (30 cal)

That totals 867 calories, leaving just under 400 for whatever you fancy. You could have bigger portions of the meals above (although they are not actually small portions to begin with!)

I usually have around 250 cal of dark chocolate in the evening. And during the day I might eat a bag of pop chips or something.

Much less than I gained over the weekend. ;) And can we really call it "gained"? If it's just food and water weight, it's not a gain, technically. :soap::book2:

Qualifies as a mini 'whoosh' for me haha. :D I was super active yesterday (cleaning, yard work, etc) so it was way above my usual calorie burn.

Thanks for the welcome, and thanks for the congrats- I will say that I sat at 139 for several days before dropping any more, and I anticipate sitting around 136 for several days before budging again. I love that I'm starting to see patterns! Yay!

Running made my hip a little sore again so not sure what I'll do this week. :(

EmmaD, I'm actually pretty happy at 129 but I like to get lower to account for those inevitable fluctuations. I think I look pretty fit but I do not trust my perception of my body -- one of my demons. :devil: I took a pic of myself trying on a bikini the other day -- I may post it if I can figure out how to black out my face.
