I had like a day to be happy at my new lower weight, but it started my third round of "losing 5 pounds" so it always feels like I am at the beginning.

haha I just remembered that my current weight is three pounds HIGHER than when I first noticed my gain years ago and I freaked out. The "fat pants" I bought back then fit again. :yay: have to be thankful for small victories! Never thought I'd be thankful for fitting into fat pants.

I have never had a jump up this bad before, and I can't really say why. I had a lot of carbs yesterday, so maybe that is why, including oatmeal for dinner... maybe the oatmeal is heavy and stayed in my stomach. Fingers crossed it is just water weight!

Just checking in really quickly, as have a lot of unpacking to do still. We rented a beach house for the grandson's first birthday party, and took a lot of stuff to stock an entire house for almost a week!

Looks like everyone is doing amazingly well, considering it was a holiday known for major eating. I was surprised to have my high weight (beginning of the week weigh-in weight) lower, this morning, than the week before. Thank goodness there were two sets of stairs at the beach house, and lots of walking around and swimming!

Only lost one tenth of a pound for the week (weight-in was before festivities started), but I'll totally take it, what with the birthday and Memorial Day. Can you say "cake every day," lol? :D

Glad to be back in the saddle again, my fine feathered friends! I know we are all rarin' to go, now that we've reached the unofficial start of teh summer season. ;)

I keep getting psyched out by the fact that I am still in the range that used to be significantly beyond my freak-out high weight and that I have months of weight loss remaining. This is hard work losing these "few" stubborn pounds. Like you guys don't know that already ....

Yay!!!!! I was sure I would go down, but didn't know it would be that much! Also, I dug the OLD scale out this morning to see kind of as a reference, and I was 129 lbs on it! So as far as my un updated goal this month, I made it too! AHHHHH!!!!

Hi Kristip,

Great job! It is very inspirational! I am 5'3 so I try to get inspiration from ladies of a similar height and I enjoy reading about your progress. I have been maintaining at 148 for a whole week and it is definitely incredibly difficult for me to lose this weight. Two years ago I was fluctuating between 126 and 129, but I have PCOS and it is very difficult to see results unless I exercise like crazy (long distance running and at least 2 hours of weight training every other day). Life got in the way and I started gaining slowly, but steadily. Exercise is crucial for me (I eat extremely clean, following a vegetarian paleo diet).

My question for you is two-fold: Do you eat under 1200 calories and what kind of exercise are you doing to see such great results? I find that eating 1200 calories with let's say 3 hours of daily exercise (a mix of vigorous and moderate) is only helping me maintain. If I want to lose, I need to get under 1000 calories and I know that is not sustainable nor recommended based on the amount of exercise I undertake.

I was wondering what has worked for you, I really need a lot of help, because I have tried almost everything. At best, I lose 2 pounds a month with a lot of discipline (strict calorie counting and a lot of exercise). If I start slacking I gain really quickly (thanks, PCOS).

Anyway, sorry for my long post.
