Krampus ~ Ha. Thanks... And right back at ya. I'm superstitious about changing my profile weight, though... it's only been like half a month that I've been at this weight and I feel like one good binge would put me right back up where I started.

crazygurl ~ You're doin' great, girl. Just keep your head down and keep doing what you know you gotta to succeed.

dottiemae ~ Ah, TOM... the cause of many a worry... At least you know the source now. You've got the right attitude, too.

~~~
I've been RAVENOUS lately and I realize that I, too, am very close to the lovely TOM. Am just trying to keep my cut off and not go too far off the rails. Am also planning on getting to bed earlier tonight, which will hopefully help.
Friend (the one who came back from Italy) lost weight. She looks fantastic. Jealous motivation.
Things that helped me break through the 150s floor were the giant (72 oz) plastic water bottle from Walmart and (strangely enough) little packets of 4C Berry Burst . Thank you again, Walmart.
I'm wondering if the chia seeds will help me bust into the lower 140s...? I know it's totally a placebo effect, but hey, I'll take it.
Jossfit - How'd the wedding go? The color concept sounds gorgeous and I bet you looked beautiful!! The cupcakes sound delish! I went up like 5 lbs after eating more than usual yest, but then I thought of you and how well you got back on track and felt a lot better! Just gotta trust myself!
Dottiemae - Congrats on the smaller measurements! I know what you mean about the stomach. When I bend over I get freaked out and my tummy feels like crepe, or the skin of a very old women (I used to work in makeup so thats how I kno lol). Thats incredible that you did so much yoga! Your core must be strong =)
Turbomammoth - YAY you did the #2!!! Its always a big plus to my day when I poo lol Thats so cool that you got an accurate reading of ur BF and I bet you can get some good free trial days at whatever gyms you try out! Have fun at ur vaca!
Blueisis- food pr0n is amazing.
French toast…Nutella…Nutella French toast ----> brain explodes
Alexisotrophic - I got a free sample of c-c-c-chia (couldn't resist! haha) like a month ago and tossed em lol. I'm gonna guess that they'd be tasty in a fruit smoothie. Happy that the job is working out!
Crazygurl61 - you have AMAZING discipline! I bet its just water weight.
Krampus - the pie sounds worth it!! plus you moved down in weight and ate delish food - win/win!
Went to Brighton beach on Sunday! It was fun, pretty relaxing - hot with a good breeze. My first time wearing animal print!
Drive-by update!
125.2 today after a morning workout. I was 125.6 before the workout but I drank water and peed so I'm "counting" 125.2 just because. If I weren't so goddang terrible at getting up in the morning I would absolutely exercise before work every day. It's nice knowing I don't have to march straight to the gym after work!
krampus - thanks for the welcome and huge congrats on your non-smoker status
pixellate - yup...that Nutella french toast...that's what I'm talkin' about
DottieMae - I don't know what to tell you about the tummy thing. I suffer from the same problem after two c-sections (once with twins). I also have a diastasis recti where there is a gap between the rectus muscles as a result of pregnancy stretching. The unfortunate result is that the more weight I lose, the more pregnant I look.
Sushi last night made me kinda sick...apparently my bf got up 3 times in the night but I was fine until I got up. 124.4 this morning after an exhausting BM, a really terrible 15 minute kettlebell workout and a 5 minute jog.
Hello all! I'm back from the wedding and honeymoon I actually did REALLY well sticking to my diet while I was there, all things considered.
The first two days I ate totally clean, no alcohol, kept my calories low and all that goods stuff. On the wedding day I had a large delicious dinner afterward and a couple of cocktails but that was about it. The next night was the same... couple of cocktails during the day and a lavish dinner, but on track during the day.
The last day I was there (Monday) we had some gelato, drinks, dinner... blah blah blah. I didn't binge or go crazy, but there were definitely quite a few more treats in there.
Those 4 mornings I got up and went to the gym to lift, do cardio, stretch and all that good stuff. I had to pay $15 a day to use the gym that had all the weights and such, but it was totally worth it. Starting off the day like that helped to, um, keep things moving from dinner the night before (Yeah Turbo, talking about POOP again! haha) and just got me feeling on track. Good way to start the day!
Yesterday though, Ugh. What a crap show. Something about flying home when I'm leaving my husband makes me eat like crap. I didn't work out in the morning (I wasn't planning on it... I needed a rest day or two) but I had wanted to eat well. Instead I just snacked the whole way home; ice cream, chocolates, chips, cookies. It wasn't a frenzied binge or anything, but I definitely overate and am feeling it today. The combination of too much food and air travel always bloats me HORRIBLY, so that's what I've got going on today.
It's almost noon here, and I JUST got up and had breakfast. I'm usually up between 4-5 am so you can tell how worn out I am!
Today I'm taking a day off from the gym just to get rehydrated, eat well, unpack, get groceries... all that stuff you have to do after you get back from a trip.
Now I can start counting down til I see my husband again; 5 weeks! Until then, I'm keeping my diet on track and hitting it hard in the gym. I probably gained like 2-4 pounds of REAL weight during the trip, so we'll see how it goes.
Here are a couple of quick pictures from the wedding and trip. I'll be back later to catch up on personals!
That is me on the left with two of my best lady friends at the pool
My hubby and I at the pool another day... we liked the pool
This is us after we changed from ceremony clothes to our dinner clothes... so happy!
At the altar... we had a fun ceremony
Goofing off with my BFF
My hubby helping with my shoes
I have about 300 billion pictures from our trip but those are some of the candids and some from our photo coverage of the actual wedding.
Beautiful wedding photos Joss! That's awesome your friends can pick you up like that.
I remember having long distance situations in past relationships...leaving on Sunday always triggered eating my feelings, pastries on the train home, stuff like that. Hope the time before you see him again flies by!
I keep saying I am back and then I aint. Thats why this time I first styaed OP 2 days before posting here again. LOL. So, back.
It's been bikini weather here and that so makes me realize I need to drop a bit more. Also with the tight cycling outfits I just don't feel as comfy as I could a few lbs less.
So. Just checking in today. Will start posting daily again and keeping up with what's going on with you gals!
Gonna read back now and see what you have all been up to .
Leila, Dreamer, Krampus - Thanks ladies, things turned out okay. You can definitely see that my dress was a bit baggy on me in the midsection, but it wasn't too bad. I probably wouldn't even be able to zip it today!
Ugh, so every single drop of water and bite of food I had today is sitting in my body. I am EPICALLY bloated right now. I'm probably holding a good 10 pounds of water weight! If I had just eaten crappy yesterday it would be one thing, but regardless of my diet, air travel messes with me so badly. Put the two together and it's a recipe for disaster.
I think I'm all caught up from my time away... not a very fast moving thread with a bunch of us on vacations! Everyone seems to be doing really well though. Now I just have to get back on track and get this bloating down so I can see what the REAL damage from Vegas is.
I can't see the pics on this board on my macbook but I can on the crappy pc at work, how funky? LOL!
Jossfit, you look awesome. Love the dress. Superdupercongrats on the getting married part too .
I am comitted. So much so that because work called me to come in earlier I decided to WALK to work so I had my exercise today since there's no time for a swim then, by bike it's peanuts because I do it so often. But try walking 3.2miles in the heat. Dang! Haha. And I am gonna walk another 3 miles later today from the train to a friends house. Went cycling 13miles yesterday too. And I am sticking to 1200 cals for a few days. I know it's low but I need to get this weightloss thing started back up so I have to leave no leeway to eat junk. On 1200 calories I can get in a few healthy meals and healthy snacks. No more. TOM around the corner so the loss won't show for a few days I think. Glad to be back on track.
JossFit - you look gorgeous and you're just GLOWING in those pics! I love the style of your dress.
philana - Good to see you! Wow, those are long walks! Good luck with your calories.
LeilaJey - Glad to hear your eyes are doing ok!
krampus - Hope you're feeling better. I also love your tagline 'NONSMOKER'. Keep it up.
BlueIsis - ouch, is diastasis recti painful? It sounds like it might be. Every now and then I think I've come to grips with how much pregnancy changed my body, then I have a bad day and get upset about it. While I may not ever have the 'ideal' stomach the one thing I can do is try to shape it and lose fat, so that's what I have my eye set on now.
crazygurl61 - how ya doing? Are you still doing the Fast 5?
pixelllate - that nutella french toast looks amazing. Did you make it?
Things have been a little hectic at work, but I know there's an end in sight so that's helping me calm down a bit. Next week I'll have my lunch hours back to myself so I'll be able to use them for a bit more exercise. While I still have pounds to lose my focus is going to be on toning as well. I'm getting excited for the Olympics too. Although in a week I'll probably be burnt out on watching sports. A little under two weeks before we leave for the beach. I can't wait!
Hope everyone is well!
