Weigh in day for me today, I'm up 4 lbs to 148.6. It was expected, but still incredibly disappointing. :( I usually don't retain this much water during TOM, but realistically I couldn't have gained that much weight in a week so it HAS to be water. That's what I'm telling myself.

Tonimaroni I am like that too and could gain up to 6 lbs easily during TOM and that was back when I was only 100 lbs. I hope that you see it swoosh back down soon.
MM I want to be normal BMI too even though I know that it isn't all that acurate for me. 139 is healthy for me but I feel like I look heavy even at 120. Ivy that is great! Looks like we might hit the 130's at the same time. I was 141.8lbs this am so I bounced up a bit but I also didn't ...ahem... go yesterday so I think that is why I went up. |
Sarah - Thank you for reminding me.....I haven't gone in a couple days, so that must be adding to my extra weight. I didn't even think of that!! :s:

145 pounds for me. -- Pretty good considering; we had a party last night and I had wayyyy too much to drink AND finally TOM decided to show up. So if I won't pig out, Friday's weigh in should be pretty awesome :carrot: I would love to get out of 140's fast. 150's were almost impossible to beat, and I stayed there for months and months....
Sarahlynn; You probably will abandon us this week, won't you? You are so close to the 30's!! tonimaroni2 I usually retain a ton of water as well...don't fret...just keep drinking extra water. :hug: |
Sum38: I really do hope to move on to the 130's by the end of this week. I hope that you will soon follow.
I was 141.4 this am so coming back down and still haven't taken care of business so hopefully that will make a difference for tomorrow. |
144 pounds and I feel b
Very thin :) I took some measurements and looks like I had small shrinkage. Sarah have you tried some senna tea? I use it on occasion when things get "stuck" hehe. Or one shot of mineral oil? You will get kicked out of here soon :lol: and I hope to be only a week or two behind you....since TOM is here, I am hoping to see 142 in a few days :woohoo: |
Sum - I'm glad the 140's are moving more quickly for you than the 150's. It's hard to stay motivated when things move so slow constantly.
Sarah and Ivy - are you leaving us yet for the 130's!? Yesterday I had 2 liters of water plus my 1 pop, 1 juice, and 1 green tea. I'm still up 3 lbs! I haven't had a BM for a few days, so that's part of it too. It worries me when the water weight takes so long to leave, much longer than normal. It makes me feel like last week's hard work was pointless! |
I'm in the 150s this week! A week ago I was in the 60s... then had a sudden 8 pound drop. It was bizarre! Anyways, so happy to join this thread! Right now I'm 155.8 and hope to be into the 140s by July 1st!

hi everyone
i'm new here, just found this forum today. i am 145 lbs which i am not happy with. i have fought with this same weight for a lot of my life. after my pregnancies and breastfeeding i was at my lowest-130!! that was fab. anything i ate just melted off. it was the first time i felt completely 'normal' and could eat what i wanted without stressing. after breastfeeding it crept back on pound by pound. so now my aim is to get down to 133. i plan on doing the eat stop eat diet. i have been fantastic at going to the gym but it makes me ravenous and i end up eating a lot. i don't want to be hungry guys you know. i want to be able to eat normally and not be depriving myself of everything. it just makes me depressed and frustrated. so this diet is 2 days fasting in the week which creates the calorie deficit and you can eat somewhat more normally on the other days. i'm excited because i'm good at fasting!!! wish me luck. |
long time lurker, first time poster. i don't remember weighing less than 180 since elementary school, but i hit 145 in october and i've been loitering around the same weight ever since. i got a little bit less strict with calorie counting because i went back to school and got really busy, but i also started working out a lot more. right now, i'm trying to net 1400-1500 calories a day and lift 3x a week, with random cardio on days when i want treats.
i'm hoping this will be enough to get the scale moving, otherwise i'll just become the thread cheerleader and root for everyone as they pass me by. :D |
I weighed in at 145.6 today. Down another pound. :) I'm halfway through the 140's and getting closer and closer to my goal weight of 120.

I think I need a new battery for my scale because I was either 145.6 or 142 this am. I weighed in and saw the jump and thought that couldnt be possible because I didn't overdo it yesterday so I tried again and it was lower but not low enough. :( I didn't expect to be down much because I did not drink enough water yesterday but those two weights are so off that I don't know if I am ready to believe either of them. I am going to drink until I am drowning in water today and pick up a new battery for tomorrow. Fingers crossed I make my goal.

I can't believe I lost another pound. I weighed in at 144.6 today. I've noticed there will be days that the scale won't budge and then other days in which I lose very quickly. I'm just happy that all my hard work is paying off.

@ Eliza31 I know what you mean. The scale (or well, my weight) is so finnicky! One day I'll gain a bit of weight, another day it'll say I lost 2 pounds and stay that way for the rest of the week. I'm currently at 145 lbs. Halfway there to 140! |
Welcome to all of our new 140's ladies!!! I was 142.2 this am and had a little cry about it. I honestly thought I would make my goal of hitting the 30's by today but here I am stuck at 142 again. :( I am hoping a few days of good eating and drinking tons of water will banish the bloat from this week.

I'm still up 2.5 lbs... I've been drinking tons of water to flush my system and it just won't leave! The 140's were moving so quickly for me(without depriving myself of anything) and I shot right back up and won't come down now. Man it's frustrating!!

I weighed in at 144.4. That is a .2 of a pound weight loss and just started TOM. I will probably gain weight throughout the week but at least there was a small loss today.

down to 143 then back up to 144.2 today, but i didn't have to wiggle into my jeans last night for the first time ever!!, so i'm still pretty encouraged. it's just bloat and will go away soon, then hopefully i'll be down...
besides, i found an awesome dress at goodwill fits now but will look even better in 5 or 10 lbs. i may wear it tomorrow to keep positive. :) running is so frustrating and so worth it. currently, my toddler hid the cord to my treadmill, so i have an excuse to slack on that front. |
I hit 143 today, but think it's a fluke due to some EXTREME house chores/projects-if not the work involved, it's the stress of dealing with the work! AND am planning to go out to eat soon so it will not last. I'll eat healthy but restaurant food always has too much sodium. There's a magic trick I do: I can just THINK about a salt shaker and retain a lb of water, just like that. So a restaurant meal=boing! sponge body.
:rolleyes: Anyway, it felt nice & soon will be a departure rather than arrival weight! |
Staying put at 144.
We ended up going out to dinner. Sushi :drool: I have not eaten out in ages and I only had 5 or 6 pieces and I was stuffed. I used to eat like a man, now I eat like a lady :D |

i can relate to the eating like a lady bit, but i think it's more mental for me. i grew up with parents who didn't really cook, so when they brought home dinner, we ate because the food was there. it feels "wrong" to eat a small dinner or a less filling meal. now that i know what my next meal will be and all that, it's just snapping that mentality.
143.4 today, but i walked around a neighborhood garage sale for 3 hours this morning. got lots of 50 cent clothes and i'm excited that soon they'll look even better on me. |
littlelioness - it's so good that you understand where the mental part of it comes from for you. I'm a bit jealous of your cheap garage sale finds; I missed our city wide garage sale this year!!

Hi everyone! I'm a long-time lurker on this forum, and I've officially seen 148 for long enough that I've decided to dive in to this board! (I'm super pumped about it - this is at least 10 pounds down from where I was after my freshman year of college :) )... I don't have anywhere else to be excited about this haha, so.... :D
But now that I've entered the 140s... I'm more than willing to wave goodbye to them haha ;) |

I am 145 lbs right now
My goal weight is 140 lbs. These last 5 lbs are killing me. When I first started my journey 57 lbs ago, I would have told you 5 lbs was easy to lose. But these last 5 lbs are coming off at a continental drift pace. I will keep trying, and hopefully one day I can get there.
