hey Marion how much have you lost so far on efs? you know one of the reasons why I decided to to only cycle 1 of efs every 3 weeks and then calorie count is because of the lack of variety and getting bored with eating brown rice and beans and chickpeas...
I usually limit my calories to 1400/1500 but often I may eat 900 one day 1200 the next and 1000 then 1300 and so far just as long as I don't go over 1500. I know 900 is getting low but somedays I'm not hungry and I just don't believe in force feeding myself. I general lose around 2/2.5 pounds a week doing this and I was working out only 5 days a week after cycle 1 on efs I've been working out everyday doing aerobics, swimming and power walking/speed walking. I'm in the working out kick... I feel the same as you Marion this fat is coming off and I'm going to get to my goal weight! I can do it this I know and I will..

let's keep each other motivated

Negrita, so far I have lost 7lbs in 3 weeks on EFS. I weigh on in Mondays, I am pretty excited for Monday to come around, I can tell a difference in my clothes now. I think in a couple weeks I will be able to wear a lot of things in my closet. I don't plan to exercise today, I am getting the house ready for a birthday party, I even made a dessert today. I don't plan on eating any of it though
I think I have a small frame, so it seems when I diet on more than 1200 calories the weight doesn't come off or it comes it too slowly for me.

hey marion 7lbs is very good. Did you lose most of your 7lbs in the first week? Keep us informed on what the scale says on Monday. Inches are very important and sometimes we forget, so if your clothes are lose you are losing.. way to go woohoo

I'm on day 1 and I'm ok since I knew what to except from the last time I did efs. I went swimming for 1 hour this morning and thats it for today. I have a very little headache but nothing major like the first time. But I'm determined and I'll see what the scale says next wednesday ay my weigh in and then I'm going to go back to my calorie counting for 2 weeks and back to this for 1 week I'll see how it works..

For me eating 1200 cal is okay and I lose weigh pretty consisently maybe 2/2.5 pounds a week. I will say that once I'm working out and etc.. I tend to lose weight pretty quickly. Losing weight for me isn't the big issue I cna lose wieght when I'm focused and committed no problem. It's keep healthier eating habits and sticking to a workout routine which this time I'm going to continue working out and eating healthy. I don't wont to regain anything this is why calorie counting is good for me and efs..

big hugs

Negrita, I lost 4 lbs the first week 0 lbs week two and 3 lbs week three. Hopefully it is not water weight! I also hope I didn't lose muscle.

Sorry about your headache, that is one side effect I didn't experience.

I just never lost all of the weight from my last two pregnancies. I gain a lot when I am pregnant!
Right now I am day 5 of week 1.

hey marion 4 pounds for the 1st week is very good. I've never had a baby so I only can imagine gaining weight and then trying to lose the weight. The headaches weren't as bad this time around. 2day is day 2 of cycle 1 and no headache at all..

hey there lou, glad to see that you are sticking with it. 1 hour and 1/2 walk/jog is great. my routine is if I go swimming for 1 hour then I'll do 20 mins of aerobics and on the days that i don't go swimming I"ll do 20 mins of the aerobic workout and go for a speed walk for about 40 mins in the morning and 4o mins in the afternoon. I live out in the suburbs so it's easy to walk and there a lot of farm land near me so I walk there and it's peace and nice..

weigh in for me is Wednesday
Let's keep it up we can do this.. I'm going to wear a 2 piece swimsuit and look good in it..

Negrita, are you still losing about 2 pounds a week?

Hello, OK I just bought a new scale and it already says i am down to 176, which is 5lbs in 10days. I am not really sure if that matches the scale at the gym, but from here on out I am going to go by that one.

I will weigh in on Wed. That will be 4 weeks on plan. (kind-of)

Today I jogged for 40 min. and did stairs for 20 min. then walked for 1/2 hour later this afternoon.

Talk to you soon...BE GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

way to go Lou woohoo 5lbs.. I say stick with the scale that you have and go with that. my scle is the old fashion one and not digital and I just use that one. wow you have been really working out. Today I went mountain climbling so I didnt eat my meal 2 and 3 for day 3 so 2nite I'm just going to combine a little of meal 3 with meal 4 but not both it's too much and I'm not really hungry. I know it maybe low in calories for the day but I'm not stuffing myself..

Let's keep up the work....

Can I borrow Lou's scale???? Just teasing. I weighed in this morning. I am still the same 160. I thought I would have lost a couple pounds. I am not really down about it though because I think it will show next weigh in.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

That's the right attitude to have Marion. No need to be like down about it and like you said sometimes what we are doing that week shows up the next week. If your cycle is around that can affect your weight. My cycles is due next week and I know without a doubt I'm going to gain about 5 pounds of water that's a given and I don't worry about it because the week after when my cycle is over it the 5 pounds goes off.

My weigh in is Thursday not Wednesday I'm getting the days all mixed up so I'll let you know what the sacle says..

I will say I feel good and so motivated. I know I can and will lose the weight

I got the scale on ebay-its a Phonix, it measures body fat and h2o. It seems pretty cool. and I like the #s!! I was kind-of sick yesterday, slept most of the day???so today I am just going to walk for as long as I can. I have still been eating pretty good. I am not eating on plan, but still healthy and less.

Negrita-WOW you are down 20lbs. That is fantastic!!! Keep up the good work!

Marion-I have been at this for 4 weeks on Wed. and it has taken me that long to lose 9 lbs. I am just now noticing a difference in clothes. So stay with it. IT will come!!!!

LETS BE GREAT TODAY...IT WILL SHOW TOMORROW! POST SOON...LOU

hey Lou keep up the good work... yes I know 20 pounds gone I didn't know how to update my progress and figured it out today so those 2 pounds I lost by calorie counting and my next weigh in will be week 1 of efs on Thursday so we'll see.. I'm on day day 4 of efs week 1 and I didn't work out eventhough it is a rest day I still would like to work out but I've been cleaning my house all morning and afternoon so at least I was moving around.

I agree with lou marion it will come. You know the closer you come to your goal weight the harder it will be to lose the weight. I didn't think I would ever break into the 150s I was at a stall and 3 weeks later I was in the 150s and now it seems like it's moving steady.. like I said when I see the 140s I'm going to really dance

Yeah I just ran/walked for 2 hours...I wasnt sure how long I could go. It was 5 miles. I am glad that is over. I still dont feel all that great but at least I have that done for the day, maybe a nap is in order=) I cannot wait to see 160s on my scale. I was 168 before I had my babies and I would like to surpass that by May 1st. I am going to post some new goal dates. Post soon! bye
