GONNA BE QUICK LADIES............

Daughter here for dinner, arrived from trip to Phoenix safely, saw the Suns (basketball) play, their coach is the uncle of one of her tennis friends. I made beans and ham soup yesterday for tonight...nephew already eating and yelling to me "Uncle Gary this soup is gooood!!"...ahh, so happy

BUNNA I like the Seahawk idea...since I will be moving there, probably, this year..guess I will have to root for them ...next to my RAIDERS maybe. My buddy up there is a Seahawk fan. I hope CHAD comes through against the local dreaded CHARGERS here...all the bandwagoners are driving me nuts! I have Chad on my background page for good luck...not kidding either!! I usually have cute girls but I am giving Angie a break...last week it was Peyton Manning...my favorite player. Steelers lookin' good with BEN!! We will have to root for the Rams (in our house) against the Seahawks this week though...the Rams linebacker #50 is a local boy, went to high school with my son, a very casual friend of his but a pretty good friend of some of my son's good friends...they went to Arizona last year (his rookie year) to watch him play the Cardinals..his name is Pisa Tinasamoa (?) spelling (?)...I saw him play many high school games...awesome high school player! Was all county first team defense and offense and player of the year.

SUNNY Got it today..THANK-YOU...boy the boys are getting big and cute as ever!!

MICHELE Hope you feel better soon...good luck with new program..news on Doug?

Gotta jam...daughter calling me to eat "with the family!!"

Later and prayers to all...Gary

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

It's so great to be back! I hope everyone had a safe and happy Christmas and New Year. I know I did. We also went to a candlelight service on Christmas eve and then spent Christmas day at my parent's place. It was a lot of fun. Then, we went to visit friends and our old church in the place we lived before we moved here. It was so nice to see old friends again.

Now it's back to reality. We are starting to make plans for the wedding in August. The church is booked and now have to find a place for the reception. The other things aren't so urgent. I was thrilled when future DIL asked if I would go shopping for wedding gowns with her. Her mother lives a 2 days drive away so it's hard for her to be here. I was very touched and am looking forward to it. I won't ever be mother of the bride so this is my chance to get a little more involved in a wedding.

Our kitchen is at a standstill. Hopefully things will begin moving after Christmas again. At least I can use it and see what the final product will be.

I have decided to get serious about my eating and exercising now. I would like to lose a little more weight before the wedding. At least now I have a goal to work toward.

Have a great day!

Hi all

Feeling ok, still have this sinus thing. I'm on Day 2 of the new program, going in today after work to talk to my counselor and get a new regular eating plan. LAWL is similar to Weightwatchers but tailored for you and your lifestyle. I'll be going in 3x a week to talk to a counselor, weigh if i want to (still debating on how often i should weigh) and to go over my days.

Doug and I are not together anymore. I broke it off last thursday. I just didn't feel the way he did. I tried, i gave it a chance, but i didn't. He's a good guy but not for me. He's hurt and angry. He sent me a slightly nasty email yesterday. I'm not responding.

Good afternoon to everyone!
Sorry to read your news, Mitchypoo. A big [[[[[HUG]]]]] to you coming right up....there! Better not squeeze the breath out of you so I'll make it a gentle bearhug!! I wonder whats eating him to send you a horrible e-mail? I hope your heart isn't too broken although I guess the hurt will be present and tangible for a good while yet, if you are anything like myself!!

I have just got back from an appointment with my social worker. My mood has been rather low for a few days now and I cannot see any way forward. I am trying to find a life!! It seemed to get to me this new year particularly that I am only just 40yrs of age and I am medically retired and have no proper purpose to my every day living. I feel as though I should be in my 70's and in the twilight of my years. Social worker has no inspiring ideas! It was really busy in the coffee shop and we were sitting right next to the door so we made another date and walked out of the door trying not to get in everyone's way...we were a few metres up the street when I put my hand in my coat pocket and came across the £5 note I had got out ready to pay for the drink...and realised we had left without paying!! I called to Judy and shouted "have we paid?!" and she realised we had not so went back to do it. I owe her a coffee next time we go! She went back to save me walking back again!! I wonder what they said...had they even noticed??!!
It has got all drizzly here this afternoon. I was going to take the dog for a quick walk to the post box but have decided against it!
EZ, I have watched You've Got Mail a couple of times now and I really like it! I think I've got it on video but I can't be sure. It's such a nice harmless film with no sex, no violence and no swearing which makes for a nice refreshing change these days!!

Hope everyone is feeling largely well and ready to plunge headfirst in to the coming year!!Looking forward to reading all your posts and catching up with everyone's news....
God Bless.
Love from Teel xx

Gary, I am scheduled to work right up through Sunday which means I will not be able to watch football this weekend. I told dh maybe I will schedule someone to work on the weekends through the play offs. I mean who is the boss anyway!

My niece is getting married in the spring and I would like to be 40 lbs lighter by then. So sticking with program and exercise is my priority for myself in 2005. I want to be close to goal weight by the end of 2005.

Haven't been up to much other than the holidays. Looking forward to things returning to normal soon. The kids new home will be here within two weeks and should be inspected and ready to move into shortly thereafter. Then the remodeling will begin in here. So excited.

Mitchy, sorry about your breakup but you did the right thing. Sending hugs your way. I too have the sinus thingy going on.

Wilma, hope they get that kitchen finished up for you soon. Contractors can come up with more reasons not to get the job done on time. How exciting that you get to help the bride with some of the wedding plans. Have fun.

Teel, we always watch for the dine and dash crowd. Aren't you glad you caught it though. That would have been so embarrassing if you went back and they had to ding you for it. Sorry that you are feeling so down about yourself. My dh went through that too but the last six months he has been able to get up and moving. He does help at the restaurant but he made way more money than we ever make there and it was an adjustment for him to realize he was not capable of doing that anymore, it was not even an option for him. Forced retirement can be difficult but I am sure you will find your path and follow it.

Default Welcome 2005

Hi everyone. Whew! Lots of posts to catch up on.

EZ- Prayers for Juan.

Bunna- I'm with you kiddo...SBD...here we go...just name the day and I will begin.

Mitchy- I did the head cold/sinus thing too...the week of Christmas. Today was the first day I did not blow gunk out from my nose.

I am trying Tyrosine (supplement) for depression and focusing. I feel somewhat different today but then again, it's not a great day in the month either. TMI for some of you.

Anyway, I feel like a bloated fish too. I'm up at least 8 lbs. I want to lose at least another 20 before March 1. I will be going to Florida to visit sis who just bought a house. I will be working and playing.

I'm very tired today, so I plan on a quick dinner and rest tonight.

DH and I are NOT doing well. We argued over Christmas and now New Years and we're still not on very good talking terms. I wonder if he's pushing me and pushing me so I just call it quits so then I can be at fault. I'm not sure what's going on. I'm so worn, weary and tired of living in a house where I never know if there will be bickering or arguing on any given day/night. I don't take his crap anymore and I don't think he knows how to deal with that. He wants to be on top. I/we really need prayers folks. Today, I don't want to be married...but God may press upon my heart a different way tomorrow. He knows where I'm at in my heart and I'm sure He's not happy...but...I will do His will...difficult to surrender that. In a nutshell...God will have to change my heart right now...somehow.

Later all...getting ready to leave work.

Mary

I have managed to dump 4.5 lbs of the holiday weight gain. I know a lot of it is water but it all looks the same on the scale so I am takin' it.

I feel only slightly better today but I have to work tonight sick or not. Pretty sure I am not contagious or I would stay home again. Tomorrow is my weekly trip to Costco and I have a ton to get for home. I haven't been for about three weeks.

Yeah, where is Sunny, I thought she was gonna be back by today.

Hope everyone has a really good day today. Mitchy, how is your sinus thingy going? Mkay, hang in there, it will get better again.

Dr. Phil this week is about New Year's resolutions and doing what needs to be done to keep them. Monday was about finances and Tuesday was about weight. Today is about addictions. Not sure about Thurs. and Friday. I love watching his show and what I really appreciate is that he follows up with people, it isn't like "You have been on the Dr. Phil show so you are fixed."
