Rosebud you need to eat, they always had me take my friends to eat right away after chemo, just make sure you don't eat Italian and they put wine in their food, does not agree with Chemo. My friend and I found out that the hard way. No snow for Texas this year ,waiting for 80% thunder storms to come tonight. Our well seems to be getting weaker , that means something
has got to go! Gary Rosebud praying for you both. Rosebud my sister lost her hair and it came back even more beautiful! So thick! One of my other friends did too but my 76 year old friend never lost hers. My husband is bald and I think he is sexy......
May I ask that everyone pray for my 8 year old niece? She is suffering some sort of gastric problem (like the stomach flu X 20) and is dealing with acute abdominal pain. The doctors are trying to pinpoint exactly what is wrong so they can treat her. Prayers for her pain to be lessened as well as strength for her parents and wisdom for the doctors would be much appreciated! Thanks.
Angie here (the wifey):
Gary asked me to post an update. He was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday via the ER. He passed out and smacked his head on the floor. Luckily I was home from work that day and was able to call paramedics who arrived quickly.
We found out that the tumor was bleeding into his stomach and that caused severe anemia and dehydration. That's why he was so weak and dizzy. Since being admitted, he's received 4 units of blood and lots of IV fluids to try to "tank him up", as the surgeon put it.
Surgery is scheduled for today at 3:00pm.

Angie, thanks for the update, Can you check back with us when you have time, just let us know how things are going ? Thank you so much ,Angie. Keeping Gary in prayer and praying for the whole family at this time.
Angie Thanks for the update. Please keep us informed as you are able. You, Gary and family are in our prayers.
Novus Praying that God will give the doctors wisdom as to your little nieces pain and they will be able to treat her so she can recover quickly with no more pain.
NOVUS ~ sent up prayers for your niece for relief of pain, and for her doctors to figure this out quickly; and peace for her and her family too ...
ANGIE ~ thanks for the update; have been praying around the clock for ALL OF YOU ...
THANKS & PRAIZE TO OUR FATHER in Heaven; and to ALL OF YOU ~ my chemo session was awesome: only a couple of mild symptoms that lasted only for a few minutes (warmth & dizziness only when walking in the first hour). Nothing else at all -- no nausea or anxiety. I slept well last night; and had total peace before, during and now, of course. Isn't that fabulous? Praying that will continue for the next several days.
BOOTSIE ~ My BIL was talking to all the cancer patients and their families as they came in & out; and we found that not everyone does lose their hair or have serious side effects (a few do, but it depends on what kind of meds they are taking). If it does fall out, it will come back in thicker & healthier; so that will be nice. I saw some cute head wraps and wigs today; so will look into that too, if needs be. EDIT2ADD: Oh, and I was able to eat with no problems. Some of the guys mentioned that they only have a drink & cookies during the chemo, then immediately go straight out for a Big Mac afterwards, even if they don't usually eat them. LOL.
Continually sending ^up prayers^ for you and yours ...

Rosebud, I am so glad yhe chemo went so well. I wouldn't anticipate side effects from the chemo as everyone is different and may respond differently. If you lose your appetite and don't want to eat remember your appetite will come back as will your hair if you lose it. Take one day at a time and continue to trust God and remember you have a team of Prayer Warriors praying for you.
Rosebud, so happy you did so well today. I'll pray it continues the same for you in the future. You were on my mind today, couldn't wait to see if you were ok.
Prayers continuing, plus prayer for healing for Novus' niece.
Angie-thank you for updating us on Gary. You and your entire family have always been included in my prayers, as well as the docs.
Rosebud-glad things went well today. My MIL had chemo every 3 weeks for several months for her breast cancer after the mastectomy and the only effects she felt were tiredness for a couple days after each treatment and a tiny bit of nausea, but she also has IBS issues, so her tummy issues could have come from that. Praying for you and your DH.
