OH KAREN, what an odd situation; I'm surprised the court didn't make sure the biological father/family wanted these kids first (although, I'd bet their mother didn't expect to lose custody of her biological children to a step-parent).
I suppose your son could make a motion to intervene, since they are his sons (and here in Canada, grandparents can too) ... ^Prayers^ on the way for these kids ...

Thanks Rosebud, Several years ago when we first found out about this we checked into it and found out that we as grandparents didn't have any say... pretty sad. He is trying to be so strong and I think I will be finding comfort in his words while trying to comfort him. I just feel so sick that this has happend. Another case of babies having babies. But it is done now and they have been doing good. Now he just wants to yank them away from the family that they have known. Even though he has had visitation all along and they have complied through all these years.
PRAYER REQUEST, PLEASE ~ could you say a wee prayer for my DH -- last night (around 2 AM) he got up and on his way to the washroom tripped over a kitchen chair. He had made himself a coffee, then turning too quickly fell over the chair and hit his head hard on the the tile floor, cutting his nose and has a giant goose egg on his forehead; he also seems to have bruised his ribs? a bit when he fell on the chair (which fell over sideways), but it probably helped soften the fall a bit too.
Well, I cleaned up the cuts (not too bad) and they don't need stitches; and it kinda looks worse than it is but just in case, he could use the prayers, esp for his chest. I was worried about his sleeping and kept waking up each hour to check on him. He is napping now, but seems OK. Thanks ...
Please pray for my son David, he has made a decision that has catastrophe written all over it.In a nutshell, he is about to get married to someone from another country, many years younger than him. They met when he was sent to her country by his company ,staying in a five star hotel, a romance began and he has gone back a couple of times to see her, once on the company dime and once on his own. They became engaged, diamond ring and all but at some point had a misunderstanding and she had an affair with an Australian Businessman visiting in her country, this resulted in a preganancy.
So my son has forgiven her and is bringing her here, so baby can be born here, he is paying for all of this, and they do plan on getting married and he will adopt the baby. I am praying that my suspiciaons are wrong. I think that she sees a wealthy, older American who wants to spend a ton of money on her to bring her to US, adopt her child , marry her. I am not he only one who fears thsi, other family members and his friends have all warned him, but he is determined to go through with this. It is not an easy thing, the State Deopartment and Embassies are involved in this and the paper work has all been done and he leaves tomorrow morning. My heart is heavy over this, I don't want my son to be hurt. I understand marriage at it's best is a risk but this has so much more stress added to it to start with.
Please pray for my boss. She's been getting sicker and sicker lately and I'm really worried about her. She's gone to the doctor a few times and the doctors can't figure out what is wrong, but she just keeps getting worse. She's losing weight like crazy, and she has brain fog that makes it hard for her to work, and she's very weak and unable to eat most of the time. No one knows what's wrong! Please pray for her health to return, and for her to be guided to a doctor that can help, and please pray for wisdom for her doctors so they can discover what is wrong and heal her. Thank you.
Prayers going up for all.... I have had such a hard time getting on here the past several weeks.... downloaded Firefox today and so far it seems to be working great.
