Bev- I can't wait to hear what you think! I'm getting more and more excited about this program. If you give a positive response then I think I'm going to take the plunge and buy the program! Please keep me posted!

Angel-How is the program going for you? Let us know please!

I hope you all have a great Friday and healthy weekend. Oh by the way do you get any days off from exercise on this program?

Well I have done the tapes for 5 days now.... yeah!!!!

How have i done? Well, I think I am doing pretty good. I am having a hard time keeping up on the cardio one right now but I have injuries involving my hips (car accident 15 years ago that messed up my hips) so I am not as flexible as I hope to be....but I keep going...

I am involved with Weight Watchers also and even though I am not real good about counting points yet, in my weigh in for the week I had lost 3 1/2 pounds. So I think so far so good....

You get to take off one day a week. I think mine may be Sunday. I like my Sundays to be lazy days.

Good Luck on the Tapes, Bev. I think you will like them. I have so far.

I do think the Womens Health Pills are helping. I do feel more energetic and calmer. I didnt take them this morning and by noon I could tell. They didnt send me the other one and I am really leaning towards getting those also.

Anyway, I would recommend these tapes.

Have a Great Weekend All.

Default hi

Hi everyone,

well I looked at the tapes yesterday ( i didn;t do them though) they look pretty good but i
don;t think i will be able to do them right away. I hurt my knee about a month ago( i have
not been to the doctor yet every one is after me to go) but i think the tape will make
my knee hurt. In the first 16 minutes of the cardio is where i am concerned that will hurt.
there is no high jumping but even ponies hurt me knee. I looked at the curcuit training
tape and that looks good to but that has lunges which hurt also. IF i didn;t have the problems
with my knees i would be doing the tapes right now. BUt i am afraid because even walking
hurts my knees. I will be keeping the tapes though and do them when i am better. My husband
is going to do them also.

Let me know what you decide Ras 8779 if you are going to get them.

Ras8779-- You said you are doing the Spark-- how did you hear about that? I just read about
it in a magazine and have been trying it with walking the last few days and i think it really
has helped. I try to do two 10 minute segments of walking everyday on top of my regular walk.

Default Spark method

Hi everyone,

I read about Spark in the Womens World magazine 5/1/01-- Spark is named after Glenn Gaesser phd
and there is also a book ( though i have not read it) What it really is is just jumpstarting your metabolism. They say if you walk for 10 minutes 12 or 15 times a week ( which comes to about
twice a day) that you will lost weight. I have been doing it for a few days and i think it is working. I just
do 10 minutes while watching tv at night . To me it makes sense to jump start your metabolism so it gets
moving.

Default RE: Sparks

Thank you for the information on the sparks. I am wondering if I could just walk for 10 minutes in the evening along with the Power 90 Program in the morning or if I will have to walk 10 minutes in the afternoon also.... I will go try to find that magazine.
Hopefully it is still on display.

Have a good week all.

Hi Ladies!

I have the Spark book and it really does work. It is in the April issue of Fitness magazine and it basically sums it up pretty good. I bought my book from Amazon.com and it was like $17 but if you can get a hold of the Fitness magazine it's just as good. The program consists of three 10 minute sparks of exercise which is a mixture of cardio, toning and stretching. There is a schedule that you can follow depending on your needs. Like more cardio for weight loss etc etc. It also states that you have to do 10 minutes throughout the day. That means you aren't supposed to do one 20 minute spark and count it as two 10 minute sparks. It's supposed to keep your metabolism burning hot throughout the day by doing the sparks spread out through the day. What I usually did was one 10 minute spark in the morning. One when I got home from work and then one about 8 or so at night. Then some days you only have to do one spark or maybe two sparks. It's a really good program and it's easy to stick with. It's worth giving it a try if you find it hard to find time for one large spark of exercise. If you need more info let me know. I might have the article at home and if I do I might be able to email it to you after I scan it. Good luck.

How is the power 90 coming along?

Hey Rose,

Power 90 is still going for me.... did my curcuit this morning.... can tell that I am getting better... thinking of increasing my weights alittle.

I am interested in getting into the Sparks Program. I found the Womens Day Article on it although I dont think they give enough information about it. I would like a copy of the Fitness article if you could get it scanned. I would greatly appreciate it.

Anyway, I havent done too good on my eating this week so when I weigh in on Wed I am a little concerned about weight gain. Food seems to be my hard part right now. I do real good in the am...been taking my Womens Supplement with Cottage Cheese and Yogurt (they say dont take it with Carbs)....do pretty good at lunch, but I totally lose it after I come home from work... UGH!!!! At least I know my weak point and I can work on it.

Anyway, I am off to the showers now. I take dance classes on Monday Night and I am now tired and sweaty.

Have a good week all.

Hi Ladies!

I will look for the article tonight and when I find it I will be more then happy to scan it and send it to you. I think the Fitness article was pretty thorough. I just bought the book because I love books so I wanted to add another one to the collection!

Angel-It sounds like you are doing great with Power 90. It does sound like a challenge. What type of dance do you take? You sound like a very active person. Could I have some of your energy?

Bev-I will definitely email you the article too! All I have to do is remember where I put it. It is a good program though and it's so doable. I hope you have a great day and keep up the great walking.

Okay I'm off to do some work.
