Hi Cristi, It's great to hear from you. Have you been posting all along in other sections? I hadn't posted in months and subsiquently I put on about 15# this past winter. I so need someone to be accountable. I just can't trust that I will keep good tabs on myself yet lol I'm looking forward to hearing what you're up to................Cathy, You've worked with teens since you yourself were a teen. How awesome in that? I'm being blessed this week with a group of 4 councellors ages 19 to 23. We hire a group from the same camp to do our VBS every summer. I just love it...................Brenda, Keep up the terrific work!!!................Mel, Woohoo ! awesome girl. WTG..................Abirdee, I don't know about getting to a point where you really look forward to exercising!?!?! I've been at this alot of yrs and I still have to force myself most days. I'm always happy and feel much better once I'm done but getting going is another story. I do know that changing up makes it more enjoyable. Like right now, I'm totalling into riding my bike. Can't waite to get on it, but every mile I plan to walk this week (to hit my goal) is feeling almost like torture!!! I would like to abandon the goal, but I know setting goals and meeting them is why I weigh 53# less than I did 4 yrs ago. Soooooo, I do what I gotta! Maybe look for a little change and you'll enjoy it more. Just a suggest. Good luck!..............Wendy, A ATP aimed at abs? I've never seen that. Do you like it? How long is it? Etc....Maybe I'll go to Leslie's web site and check that out. Thanks............As for me, another wild day at VBS. I really do enjoy it, but it wears me out Phew. I got in my 3 miles yesterday, but not until almosyt 9pm and I hate working out that late. So, today I got myself up and out and had 2 miles done before 6am. I'm planning to walk the children to the park so I will get in another 2. I'm also going to do a few exercises for my abs. Not exactly a "full" UB workout, but close enough. I'm in crunch mode here!! ....................Sunny, I'm missing you lady. Praying all is going ok and that you're feeling God's loving arms supporting you.

Good Morning ladies,

I took the day off on yesterday (after working out 7 days a week), but I did clean up, mopped, and cook dinner. After that all I wanted to do was take a hot bath and go to sleep. I will be back on track today with my 2-3 mile walk. I have a meeting this morning, so I have to go.

I hope everyone has a blessed day!

Just wanted to pop in real quick and report that I skipped the pool on Monday but Tues and today I was in for just over an hour both days. Thing is Monday after the boys swim lesson we went shopping. Spent close to 2 hours shopping so all that walking has got to amount to something. KWIM

Good Morning Ladies!!

Everyone is doing so good!!

I did the 1 mile WATP yesterday morning. I felt great! This morning I woke up late because power went out. PLEASE send some sunshine down here in Dallas. We are drowning down here. Everything is flooded and it took me almost 2 hrs to get home last night. This storm happened so quick it caught people off guard

I hope to exercise tonight when I get home. I hope everyone has a great day!!

Wendy

I too am just poppin in quik. It must be one of those weeks everywhere. ........Sheila, I'm with Cathy-a great big hug to ya, girl. Just focus on your accomplishment lady. You are down 2#. Yes, you do need to get your hiney to Curves and get on that TM. No backsliding around here. Trust yourself. You'll do what's right for you and we'll all be here cheering you on...............2 early morn miles again today, but I have to face the fact I'm not going to get my strength trainings in this month. I'm ok with that though. My walking will be on target, I've lost 3#, and rode my bike alot. I'm gonna love me too!
Have a great OP day!

Good Morning Gang!

I got up at 5 and did another 30 minute 2 mile WATP tape w/2lb weights. I also do situps whenever I walk. Don't know if I've mentioned that before, but I don't log the situps - just the miles.

July Miles = 34

Sheila - hugs!

Wendy - I saw on the national news this morning about Dallas. hope you're ok girlie. I live in Louisiana, so we usually catch the weather that ya'll get a day or two later. Stay dry!

Kristi - good for you! 50 miles is a lot of walkin! you go girl!

Hope everybody has a BLESSED day!

hugs,
cathy

Good morning ladies,

I walked 2.17 miles yesterday, and have committed myself to do 2.5-3.0 today....
I haven't weighed myself lately, but I can tell according to my clothes (and my husband ).....I'm so glad I joined this group because everyone has really been encouraging, and I really appreciate it.

I hope everyone has a blessed day!

Hi Everyone!

I walked 2.86 miles on yesterday and did strength training. I was lazy this morning and did not get up in time to exercise (I will blame it on rain.)

I plan on walking this evening.

Miles walked: 39
Strength Training: 9

Wow, everyone is doing fabulously! Great work, ladies!

Kristi... You rock! No worries about the strength-training, you are certainly making up for it in other areas! And I love what your wrote about loving yourself... that, beyond anything else, is most important. I'm not quite there yet, but hope to be very soon.

Sheila... Good luck on your goal to reach 9mi on the TM by Monday! We'll all be cheering for you! Like Cathy said, you must be doing something right to see another 2lb loss!

Cathy... As always, your hardwork inspires me to get off my duff and get movin'! Thank you for that!

Wendy... Yeesh! That's some nasty storm you've endured! I'm definitely praying for sunnier days for you! Keep up the great work walking away those pounds!

I didn't do any exercise yesterday -- felt I needed a day off. Today I'll make up for it by doing both strength-training and walking. This morning I looked at myself in the mirror and could definitely see a difference... and not just a slight difference. A major one! My tummy is actually looking quite flat! I may just reach that goal of size 9/10 by the beginning of Sept.! Woo hoo!

Anyways girls, hope you all have a wonderful day today! Take care of yourselves... type you later!
