I just started today and wanted to know if I could join the walking group. Exercise is my biggest obstacle right now. I don't know why just lazy I guess. I really need to do it though

Thought I would stop in and say HI! I would love to get motivated with you guys!

Swam yet again today. As typical I am tired but it's that good tired like I did something good for me! I think I may reward myself today and get a pizza for supper. DH & DS #1 are still at camp so it's just DS #2 and myself and I don't feel like cooking. I wanted to get the grass cut but it is raining yet again. I have no idea when I will get the chance to cut it. It is getting so long and if I could get out to cut it I would rack up some walking steps!

Good evening ladies,

I hope everyone had a wonderful day! First of all I just wanted to say thank you to SunnyD and Shelia for your advice, but just because the scale doesn't show the numbers going down, my clothes do. I really didn't know sleep played such a big role, I think that may be my problem. Guess I just have to start going to bed ealier and not try and stay up to watch the "Golden Girls"!!!!!!!

ScoobieSue-We are glad to have you, I just started myself a month ago. Tell us a little something about yourself (age, married, kids, etc.).....

We got a call this morning from the roofer and they cannot make it today as planned, so they are trying for tomorrow or Friday... the weather is suppose to be better on Friday & Sat. anyway, so I hope they come then. In the meantime... ... I am cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. I got the laundry finished up this morning, scrubbed bathrooms, watered the gardens & pots & got all the fish bowls cleaned. Now to wash the floors and dust then run a vacuum --- oh what fun Somewhere in there I am going to try to get in a mile or two today --- I hope.

Default A little Disappointed

Shelia, I need some your enthusiasm to rub off on me today.

I am a little disappointed today. It has been 2 months since I have taken my measurements. And decided to take measurements over the weekend and have gained 2 inches in my calves. I lost an inch all over except for my calves and thighs. I thought when you added weights that you lost inches faster. I also have not lost any weight but have maintained the same weight for 3 weeks. I am stuck at 197. What is going on?

On Monday, I started exercising in the morning before work (thanks Sunny & Cathy on this suggestion) instead of at night. I am sleeping much better. Hopefully this will hellp.

Just kind of got discouraged after taking measurements and got off track and really didn't workout or eat like I should. I walked 1 mile on Sat. and did not exercise at all on Sun. or yesterday. I walked 2 miles on this morning and plan on doing 1 mile when I get home from work. I guess I will try to increase the cardio.

Congratulations Abirdee. Way to Go!!!

Wow, a lot has happened in a couple days! Congrats to everyone on their success... you all are doing such an awesome job staying OP! You really help motivate me to keep going and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and inspiration!

Before I forget, a BIG welcome to Wendy! You'll find a great bunch of ladies here! And I'm looking forward to getting to know you better! Best of luck in your weight loss journey!

I don't have time right now to check-in with each of you personally... my 2 y/o is dragging out every single piece of Tupperware I own. But I wanted to let you guys know that WI went ok. Down a pound and a half which is better than nothing, I suppose. I'm actually thinking that I've lost more but am retaining some water. WI next Monday should hopefully show a bigger difference.

Thanks so much for the welcome! It feels so good. I'm just so excited to be here!!!

Bio on me - 34yrs old, married 7 yrs, no kids (my dh is my kid) I was 160 lbs when I met my DH now I'm at 255. I know I can do it!! Went swimming last night for 20 minutes and it felt great!!

Swam again today. It felt so good as it's awful hot out and will be for the rest of the week. Had quite a workout swimming width laps till the kids went to play water polo then I joined in as someone had to hold my little guy. It was loads of fun but also quite a workout running back and forth. Plan is to swim Thurs and Fri as well!!! Please let this get me motovated to get on my treadmill when swim is done in just over 3 weeks.

Abirdee, I am not giving up. I'm hanging in there. Thanks for the encouragement. I appreciated it! I got on the scale this morning and down 2 pounds!

Well, I didn't do the 1 mile as planned on yesterday evening. I had company and they didn't leave until late. I will definitely do 2 miles today.

Doing well today! I didn't exercise last night but plan to tonight. Stayed in my pts and drank a gallon of water. The bathroom was my best friend yesterday!
