That is disgusting! I think everyone should be shown that, its a great motivator to make you eat better and work out more! Diet and exercise is the key to success!

To the OP, thanks so much for the comparison pics! I've always wondered what the size difference between fat and muscle was.

Wow, that is an impressive motivator. I never actually considered the difference in appearance before.

Never really pictured it that way, but now that I have that in my mind.... ewww! I do believe I'll be going out to the garage tomorrow to get out the stationary bike... time to bring it in the house!

Gross, but totally helpful. I am mentally placing that image in my mind.

It really reminds me why I want to replace fat with muscle.

I need a prop like that at my desk to make me think before I eat. Just a friendly paperweight/reminder, you know?

I love that photo of Marilyn Monroe with the weight!!!! Who said that working out to sweat couldn't be glamorous?

thats a great picture, thanks for posting it! it just goes to show you how much leaner muscle is than fat, and why its so hard to lose pounds when you're gaining muscle mass...even if your losing inches!

one of the most motivating things i have ever seen was along the same lines. while observing a cardiac bypass case i got to see the inside of a blood vessel that was clogged with plaque build up. every time i want a cheeseburger i try to imagine all that plaque and remind myself that i want to be healthy!

I've seen these in various RD's offices but the 5 lbs of fat never ceases to disgust. Why does it have to take up so much space. I can only imagine what marbleized fat/muscle must look like.
