Day 3
Hey Power Girls!!!!
How's everyone doing today???? ANGEL--How's that ankle? KRISTIN--Where are you??? MIKI--How was you BUNS workout??? C'mon ladies! We need to ALL try to check in every day. Even if you can't get in a workout, don't feel as if you can't post. We need to come here to support and encourage each other! We CAN adn WILL do this!!!! I didn't get in my workout till after 5 this evening. I wasn't feeling so great earlier today as TOM came a couple days early. But I got in the workout and I feel great! It was weights today. I think next week I'll be able to use heavier weights. I'm just going up by small increments. Right now I'm using 3 and 5 lbs and next week I'll try 5 and 7 lbs. My eating wasn't great. Had a good hunk of chocolate today. I'll blame it on hormones:D But other than that, I guess it was ok. I made pizzas on whole wheat pitas for dinner. I think my water consumption was a bit low today tho. Time to go! Power Up Girls! |

Sorry about npot posting yesterday.... did my workout yesterday with some limited movement due to ankle. My bosses were in town yesterday and today.... I worked last night until 1am and then got up a 5am to finish some reports that had to be done this monring.... so needless to say I didnt get my workout in and I am so tired right now I am just hoping I can stay awake until 9 so that I dont mess up my sleeping schedule.... I think I will use today as my day off..... How is everyone else doing???? Miki- You sound like you are off to a GREAT start!!!! Keep it up!!!! Susanne - whenever you get your workout in is a good thing.... I do like it when i do it in the morning because i am much more likely to talk myself out of doing it in the evening..... Kristen - How are you doing??? |
Today is day 2 for me with power 90. What eating plan are people following? I got the Formula book that people are doing on the beachbody site but the eating plan is WAY TOO MUCH protein so I'm interested to see what y'all are doing? I'm a little sore right now but luckily tomorrow is cardio. Did anyone have a hard time with the power yoga? I think my stomach is too big to do some of the moves, lol! I'm glad to see some of you are already at 15 days, what a inspiration!

WTG for getting 2 days under your belt! I too have problems with the power yoga. But I can see myself improving little by little each time.
I'm trying to follow a SugarBuster type diet. No sugars of any kind (except natural from fruit or milk), no white flour, rice or pasta, etc. Today my hormones got me and I had some chocolate, but it was high cocoa content which isn't too bad. I am trying to follow the rule about not eating 3 hours before bedtime and doing pretty good with that. I usually drink lots of water. I hope you keep posting here! Welcome Jacksonmom! :) It was cool to sign in and see we had a new "Power Girl" in the group. As far as my eating, I am just eating healthier and trying to stay under 1500 calories. I'm just actually following any certain diet. I lost 40 lbs from Oct til now doing that with a little exercise thrown in. I just started the PowerHalfHour videos a week ago. So far I really like them.
Guess what! I was off today but my sis and I got up early anyway and did the Buns tape at 7 a.m.! (Im not a morning person normally) Well hubby came in tonite and wanted to do it also so once again, I did my tape twice in one day! My sis happened by about the time we started so I talked her into doing it again with us. I was soooooooooo sweaty by the end!! But it felt great once we were finished. Tomorrow is my off day...Yesss!! Now I have just got to get my eating back on track as well as I had it before. Today at my nephew's bday party, I had cake AND a vanilla ice cream cone.:^: Angel, I dont see how you're making it on just 4 hrs sleep girl. I'd probably already be fading by now.:lol: At least missing your workout hopefully is good for your ankle getting better faster. Susanne, these tapes dont have dance step either which is good cuz I'm not the most coordinated person..lol It's all just WORK! lol I only have 3lb weights right now but I think I need to go out and get at least 5 lbs ones. Kristin, are you ok?? We miss ya! How are the workouts coming? Good I hope...dont wanna have to administer another of those kicks.:s: :p :D Well ladies...I'm pooped!! Better run for now.. MIKI |

I'm hoping to get in my workout sometime this morning, but just popped in here to catch up.
ANGEL--I think you deserved to have yesterday as your off day. That's amazing that you could work with only a few hours sleep. If I don't get enough sleep, I'm a witchy zombie woman:lol: That's great that you are still exercising but modifying for the ankle. MIKI--You're amazing for doing your exercise tapes twice in a day! Your sis too! You have really earned your off day. Don't worry about your eating indiscretions. We can't change all our bad habits overnight and a treat once in a while won't hurt you. I might have to look into the Power Half Hour for maintenance--when I get there :lol: KRISTIN-- Hope you're ok. We've missed your daily posts! Please check in. That's it for now girls. Just finished
Didn't get my workout in this morning like I wanted. Instead DS and I spent money at Walmart:D
I just finished cardio/abs. I finally was able to do one pushup from plank to dog. I haven't been able to do it at all, so I'm accomplishing something.:smug: Hope you all are having a GREAT day! |
Owwwwwww!! My poor rear end and legs are sooo sore today! Good thing today was my 'off' day! Just hope I can do tomorrow's tape.
I'm disgusted at myself again. I did fine all day then tonite once again I ate too much! It's not even junk food that's my main prob..it's just eating too much period. Tonite we had pork roast, mashed potatoes, and fresh squash and I ate toooo much!! Now I feel miserable. I keep telling myself all this exercise is going to do no good if I dont get my eating back under control. For 6 months, I did great with it now all of a sudden I've started messing up again. Definitely got to work on that. Zanne, good for you on the pushup! I still cant do those but I keep trying. Jacksonmom, Kristin, and Angel....how was your day? Hope to hear from you soon. Cant sit long cuz this hard chair isnt easy on the buns..LOL I'll check in again tomorrow. Miki |

Was wondering if I could join in your group. I also post on another one, but thought it would be good to get on an exercise thread also. I started P90 this week. Feels pretty good, not too sore. I have a hard time with the jumping jacks and the cross hops. I guess that will come in time. I've been reading all your posts. I had trouble getting my DVD's also, but they finally arrived two weeks ago. I do enjoy the tapes, but that Lisa girl and her punches make me laugh a little. Seems a little "girly", so I do my punches like the guys. Just a personal thing stemming from doing TaeBo for a couple of years. Always taught to be aggressive! Anyway, I hope we can all be here for each other and offer support. Tomorrow is day 5 for me. Chach |

I don't know where I've been! GOod to see some newbies in the group! Welcome Jacksonmom and Chachee!!! Geez, I guess it's day 19..WOW. I had some problems with energy on day 17...could barely even make it through the stretching! I've got to figure out why I have no energy lately...got my thyroid checked and it was okay. Was thinking about starting on the beachbody supplements. Any of you guys taking them? I know...I've read all the hype, but I have to try SOMETHING!!!! MIKI, I bet you're glad to have your tapes FINALLY!! Sounds like you're really enjoying them! SANNE, sorry about the MIA lately...how ya doing? We're getting close to that day 30...I feel like I should be further along...(sigh) ANGEL...hope the foot stays strong for ya. I gotta check my email... I guess I over did it with the bands on scuplt day and so far haven't gotten back to it hopefully tomorrow I'll feel better and will do cardio. I think the bands put too much stress on your joints does anyone else have that problem?

Was feeling bad about not checking in the last few days...:o My eating has been HORRIBLE. (Not that it was EVER any good, but it has been alot better!) I am definitely a junk-food-junkie. If it's fattening, that's what I want! Burgers... :burger: cookies.... :cookie: and the worst....CHOCOLATE. :chockiss: My biggest downfall! And today has been just terrible...I feel like all I've done all day is eat, and of course, all the wrong things. :censored: I think it's gonna take a miracle for me to get to eating healthy! Okay...WHINING over. :yikes: How did you guys fair today? I still have sculpt to do...(it's 7pm) I hate when I don't get it over with in the mornings... Anywho...I'll check in again later! Well, I managed to make it thru my Abs tape today but I have a really bad sore throat. Wasnt able to fit in the 2nd time and still not feeling well. I dont want to have to miss a day already so hopefully tomorrow I can get up enough energy to make it thru the Arms tape. Dont know why I have this awful sore throat.:( Believe it or not, I have very little soreness today. I can't believe I got over it so fast after being so achy yesterday. It was nice signing in and finding that everyone had posted. I love reading them all. Well hoping to get to bed shortly as soon as I find something to take for this throat prob. I'll write more tomorrow. Miki |
