My boyfriend and I signed up for a 5k run/walk for st. Patrick's. it is this Saturday. I told him I'll walk it. (I know I can do that. We take our dogs on 4 miles walks) I just told him to go ahead and run but he says he will walk with me. He is so sweet.

Just finished week 1 day 2, and it seemed a little easier than day1. Of course I still wanted to hurl/pass out near the end! The important thing is I did it! On a side note, I was cranky before I started (just in a pissy mood), but felt much cheerier about 1/2 way through. Believe me, I would have never thought exercise would improve my mood

Did day 2 of week 1 today but for me it was not easier but harder. I did finish the entire time though.

I'm too afraid to go do w1d2 - not because of the pain but because of the ice and temp outside! Come on seriously it's MARCH!

I always found I had a sense of euphoria finishing the work out - even though I'd get really grouchy during it. It would be a horrible time to stop and bother me. Good thing I run alone.

Is it bad that practically my first thought upon waking was,"phew, today is an off day on C25K."
Question, I did day 1 Sunday, day 2 Tuesday, but I may not be able to do day 3 until Saturday. Is that ok? Is there a certain pattern and/or number of days I should do a week in?

Hi guys. I was here way back in the beginning of November. I started the program for the 4th time, I think and only made it about 3 weeks because it got too cold and I'm too cheap for a gym membership. I'm planning on starting up again next week, I'm really hoping the weather will cooperate! This IS going to be the time I finish or finally realize running ain't for me.

I plan on joining you all soon! I signed up for a 5k in September and right now I can't run 30 seconds without having to catch my breath so I need to train! The weather is very unpredictable right now (we're expecting 15-20 CM of snow next week!) so I can't do the program regularly, but I think I'll be able to really start in April.

I'll have to run with my son in the jogging stroller so I should get some nice arm muscle too, hehehe.

I did my second day, it went well for the most part. I can't stress enough getting good running shoes, running on my Brooks Ariel today and it was SOO much better than using my old tennis shoes like I had a million times before. For once my ankles weren't stiff and sore to the point where I could no longer continue running.

I totally agree with you about the shoes! I bought a pair of Mizuno and I love them. It really makes a difference!
