Happy Tuesday!
I actually went out in the heat after work and survived After a few errands I visited one of my elders and she chatted until 10pm. I should've been in bed by then. I slept very well though and did not work out before work. I really didn't intend to because I don't have work tomorrow. I'm supposed to go to my auntie's house for a bbq, but frankly don't want to. It's going to still be hot, her house is hot and a group of people makes it more hot.

I knew the views on our threads were high, but geesh 7,000! The problem is not people coming out to join, its that people don't stick around.

Gabi, I too and glad for you and your family that all is well now. In New Jersey, which is close to me, some will be without power until later this week. Bummer for the holiday and just general comfort.

Hi exhale, eskie, mcmurphy and although I'm not sure if she's still with us...bunneh.

My spell of inertia is broken - I did Ilaria's abs and push-up workout. Abs just need focus, push-ups just need about a decade's work.

But the spell is broken and I rejoice

Push-up's have to be done on my knees with my legs crossed...I can't do them up on my toes, lord knows I have tried.

Happy 4th of July!

Good Morning All!

I was determined to not sleep the day away on my day off. I'm supposed to go to a relatives for a cookout. I really don't want to because it will be HOT and HUMID according to the weather report.

I used yesterday as a rest day on account I passed out on my bed when I got home trying to recoup from a headache. Hey, I just remembered that I didn't take anything for it and it went away....lol. I'm about to do my workout, eat, get dressed and hit the road.

FREE KINDLE EBOOKS

You need an amazon account. You don't need a kindle, but these are kindle books so you need to install the kindle for pc app or you can view on tablets or smartphones with the kindle app.

I downloaded all except the garlic bread book.

August 1? That's a whole month! Glad to see your post though. Do you stretch? That can put some good hormones into play too.

My workout for the day is done! Did Jillian Michaels workout 2 and biggest loser 1 mile walk. If you've never done the biggest loser walk its a refreshing change of pace from leslie's version. Bob is the lead and he does this bowling ball move, but what it ends up being is a one legged squat. Very clever!

Ok, I'm off to eat, get dressed and get on the road.

Philly - Yeah, I know, but it was the soonest appointment available. I was surprised. And yes, I stretch for about 20 minutes every morning and then work a minute or two of stretches here and there throughout the day (plus after a workout obviously). It does usually make me feel a little better.

My husband and I are thinking about going for a short hike today since he has the day off. It would be nice since with the combination of his working overtime and my fatigue we haven't been able to go at all yet this season.

Try to do just one or two super slow push-ups on your toes, and really focus on perfect form (even if you can't get a full one, do as much as you can with good form). Once you're able to do just a couple with great form they build up quickly. I can do somewhere between 5 to 10 (depending on speed) in a row on my toes now, but I thought that would be impossible when I first tried.
