Day 1 down
I restarted yesterday with the 7 day kickstart challenge. The diet is brutal, but the double workouts weren't so bad. The worst part was doing it at 9:30 at night when I want to veg, lol.
I REALLY enjoyed the turkey burgers she has in the 7 day kick start, they were so yummy. Or maybe I was just that hungry - ha ha! Anyway, not terribly sore today - looking forward to working out tonight. I have to do the two workouts back to back due to schedule restraints. Five kids, getting up at 5 am already.....its going to be a long 7 days but I know its going to be worth it! Excited for results! |

Never did Jillian's diet. What is a typical day look like? I got tired of depriving myself so here's what mine looks like: Breakfast: 3/4 cup All Bran cereal (LOVE it cause it keeps me full) and 1 cup fat free milk, 1 cup of hot brewed green tea (no milk, no sweeteners in it...just plain) AM Snack: 1/2 grapefruit Lunch: Lean Cuisine meal with 3 oz. grilled chicken breast, large salad w/2 Tbsp. low fat dressing PM Snack: Orange and a protein shake after weight training Dinner: 5 oz. fish (or 4 oz. beef, chicken, turkey), 1 cup steamed non starch veggies, 1 tbsp. butter (yes, butter....I use the real thing....organic butter :) It's about 1200 calories and it keep me satiated and very happy! No sugar, no fake sugar, no dessert of any kind. I only put 1/2 packet of stevia on my grapefruit...that's it. And LOTS of water, which I'm used to. I was driving myself crazy with diets. I was in the process of the HCG 1234 diet, but after 4 days and my blood sugar plumented (probably from the low calories - 800 of them - and the intense exercise, which I was told I could do) it scared me off of the diet. So I sat and thought.... "okay, what's gonna make me stick to my program and not cheat?" So, I came up with my own diet. 1200 calories, not a tremendous amount of fat, lean meats, potatoes on occassion, no white bread or white rice. I do, however, eat pasta, but I eat that for lunch so I can utilize the energy for my tough workouts! And I don't eat carbs for dinner so nothing turns into sugar! |
