It's my last interval run tomorrow (WK6D2)! I can't believe how far I am. C25K is just... awesome! The self esteem boost is incredible, and I can't believe how well I am running.
I need to buy some good tunes to listen to, though. Have listened to the same songs sooo many times.
week 5 day 1 today (since i'm starting back using distance).
But the last run, I only managed to run 400m instead of 800m.
I had really bad side stitches and my ankle seemed to swallow a little.
I guess overall, today wasn't the best running day for me.
I need to take tomorrow off to heal my ankle at least.
Urgh, i just feel like i'm moving backward @@
on top of that, i've been running without music so time just doesn't seem to flow at all @@ haiz I need to buy a new mp3.
Well, I did it! I ran 25 min without stopping! I too am running without music... I have got to find my ipod!!!
I am going to try to run at least 20 minutes again tomorrow morning... That will be 2 longer runs in a row for me... we shall see I figure since I skipped week 6 I may not be able to run the full 25 again tomorrow but I will try!!!
Totally just a baby C25K but completed W1D1 this morning. I went slow and I did it!!!! I was pretty stoked. It didn't tell me when my half point was and I didn't want to count my runs so I overshot by about a half mile, but it's cool. I got a little extra cool down time and had Pandora to keep me company. I am just so excited to have finished the first day!!! LOL Kudos to all of you WAAYY ahead into the program!!! I can't wait to be where you are, but very happy taking it slow right now. haha!!
I completed c25k back in May and stopped running shortly after. Ugh! I was able to run for 40 minutes straight, but now I'm huffing and puffing after 5! I will be restarting the program today at week 4.

Jamie,
I just signed up for the Surfn Santa in VA Beach for Dec 3rd. Have you done that one before?
And congrats on restarting the program... I did the Shamrock 8K about 4 years ago after doing the C25K but totally didn't do much after that... so now it's all the way to back to square one with me and my 50 extra lbs... ugh!!
This weekend I'll be doing w1d3 and I'm totally excited! I have already completed day 1 and 2 of week 1 and I just love the feeling I have when I finish. My breathing hasn't been too bad, but my calves definitely burn. I am doing it on the treadmill at the gym and I love it. I use a podcast I found on itunes.
Shauna... I just completed W1D2 today... I didn't drink as much water yesterday as I should have so it didn't feel as good as the first one... but I slowed down a little and finished it out.
I definitely noticed my breathing was ok but my legs omgosh!! They weren't happy... hoping the next one will be better...
bLah. annoyed. I tried to do my first 28 min run today and fail. Granted I was running on the hilliest place I have yet and in the hottest weather, but still. Will have to try again on Monday.
Completed W1D3 yesterday and I was massively that I completed all of the runs, and wasn't out of breath at the end. Such a difference to W1D1, when I was struggling on the last stretch.
Question for you guys, what do you do on your 'rest' days? At the moment I'm just walking... I'm scared that if I start to do a little run or jog on the off days that'll I'll get shin splints (as has happened every other time I've started running).
I am wondering if my legs during the last couple of runs is because I didn't walk. The couple of weeks before I had walked everyday and then on Friday before my w3d1 run, I was so tired and didn't walk. And then after that my legs hurt from the run and so I didn't walk. I walked 3 miles today and hopefully my legs won't hurt as much tomorrow on the last run of week 3.
I'm thinking of trying this, theoretically it sounds great but as for every other exercise programme I've tried I'm worried that I'll fail.
I absolutely hate running. I hate the feeling of being out of breath, and I have no stamina. Lol! It's quite hard to do exercise when you're so anti-exercise. Was anyone else like this, or did you always have an interest in exercise/running?
