Oh and as far as frequency goes... I run WAY more than I should be, probably. I run day 1 on Sun Mon, Day 2 on Wed Thurs and Day 3 on Saturday for a total of 5 days a week. I am going to enjoy being young and my body can take it, really it's not that much running when you think about it, what 15-20 minutes total, though I do listen to my body. I also cross train, about an hour at a moderate intensity on the bike every day except Friday. I'm going to start incorporating pilates 3-4 days a week. I'd love to do strength training but don't want to pay for a gym membership and don't have room in my home for any equipment. I think pilates will suffice in that area though.

It's a time sink for sure, but I do what I gotta do, I don't have kids (just classes :P) so I probably have a lot more time than some people.

You've inspired me to try again!

Do any of you use pod casts for your run? If you do...is there one that you prefer to another??

Thanks
I used GoNicoleYourself.com and KissMyBlackAss.org podcasts for the shorter interval runs then as the runs got longer, I found songs the appropriate length in my itunes and created my own play list. Just finished W8 today - one more week!!!!

I started the C25K training program last week. My goal is to run the Gobble Wobble in November. I am not sticking to the program per time but listening to what my body is telling me. I can tell my endurance is building but now I am have the worse knee pain. Will this go away? I think I am becoming an ibuprofen junky now. Any suggestions to help with the knees?

Knee pain is not typical to new runners. Are you wearing proper running shoes?

By "not sticking to the program per time" do you mean you are trying to increase time faster than the program, or slower? Hint: c25K progresses really, really quickly-- a lot more quickly than many reputable programs. Many people's musculoskeletal systems, and particularly many people who are overweight and were not previously taking part in high-impact activity on the regular, are better served by slower progress than c25K suggests.
