Happy Mother's Day to everyone!
Last weekend I was in DC and I did a ton of walking. I wish I took my pedometer with me, so I knew how much I really did. Here is what I logged yesterday and today on the treadmill: Saturday -- +2.5 miles walk/jog Sunday -- +2.27 miles walking Heather |
10.54 today.
SM177: I definitely understand fearing not being able to run anymore. The x-rays might turn out not to be anything serious but it seems that at least you are taking precautions by icing and strength training. I'm a definite believer in strength training I used to have runner's knee badly but focused on doing leg lifts and extension and haven't had any trouble in months. I'm looking out for any sign of problems but running feels so good and I've never had any discipline when it comes to it. I'm such an all or nothing person balance is hard for me to achieve. I'm hoping to cut back starting next week, thats what I keep telling myself. |
Adding last week's mileage -- now up to 454 miles / 1000.
I may hit the half way mark by the end of the month!! |
5.25 miles today.

6.52 for me.
Jackie - the strength training definitely does help. I'm an all or none person also, if the running thing didn't work out I'd probably just go all gung ho onto a new sport. Does anyone here rollerblade? It's hard/scary doing it downtown. I'm considering adding it to my mileage since it really feels like a workout. |
