Do you mean ten 1/2 laps equal a mile or 10 and a half laps equal a mile? I think you meant the latter---that is a lot of laps to keep track of! Is there a higher quality high school track you could use (meaning the track is higher quality, not the high school, although higher quality high schools usually have higher quality tracks!). 4 laps = 1 mile that way.

I found a counter that goes to 9999. It's just a little clicker-type, but I love it. It's definately the latter, 10 and 1/2 laps equal a mile. I've had stopwatches with lap counters, but I have a terrible time with watches, so this will work better for me, I think.

I did 9 miles today. I'm walking though on the laps ending in 0 and 5, and then I walked every 3rd lap in the last mile.

EZ - Why didn't you go to yoga with her? That could have made for a really special date night. ;) Unless you twited yourself into a pretzel and had to spen the night at the ER, which would have been special in a whole other way.

You know Dixie I get asked that a lot! Especially from the folks at church, where she teaches 2 classes, that say "Gary, if you go I'll go"....as far as why...hummm....no comment ;) (which means I do not have one good reason why not!)

The track you have been running must be about 40% of a full size high school track then, right? Because I am with Baby Catcher on 4 laps equals 1 mile when I first saw your post.

I took the mutts out for 3.5 this morning, we took our time and had a nice one while Angie headed off to bell choir practice.

5.2 for me. All the track talk inspired me to do some track work. It's a 400m track so quite big.

28.5 miles this week. I have my big weekly run tomorrow -- 15 miles! That should boost next week's totals a little.

4.61 yesterday, 5.54 today.

sm177 05-18-2009 08:22 PM

4.75 yesterday now I'm tapering. Does any have any advice about how much to run this week?

Also does anyone know anything about bikes? I'm looking to get a road style bike. Essentially something light and fast. I don't know any brands, or what size I'd be looking for.

Sunday -- +2.10 miles

Monday -- +2.10 miles

Finally the weather is getting nice, so I can walk outside. My boyfriend lives on the other end of town, so when the weather is nice I like to walk to his house.

+4.15 today - treadmill HIIT again. Going to get back into the intervals regularly, then work on increasing the mileage. It worked well that way last time! :)
