I am so glad the ankle is better! I had no idea what was wrong with it :dizzy:.

Good thing I don't live in Wisconsin. I'm dreading running when it's 45 degrees out. :o

Julie - HA! I think it was 6 degrees when I got up this morning!!! Can I come live with you for the winter?

Yeah - Very strange with the ankle. I was all worried I would have to take a break at running but those inserts seemed to do the trick! WOO HOO!

Yes! *IF* you evict my roomies. I'm sick of them living with me, even if they are my nephews (age 19 & 21). I will even take your baby(ies?) over them right now :o.

wk3d1 done on Tuesday and looking forward to wk3d2 tonight! I have started doing the program by distance instead of time... My first mistake was the up my speed in order to get my distance done quicker. I usually run at 5mph and upped it to 5.8 mph (I'm a shorty). Started getting this terrible cramp in my side. Not the runner stitch kind but doubling me over pain.

I also ate about an hour before which I won't do again lol, maybe a snack but not dinner.

Hi all--

I'm just getting started on C25K and am really enjoying all of your posts. I will be doing W1D3 tomorrow and I follow the podcast. I've never been a runner (always hated it actually) but I'm encouraged by reading about your successes. My usual workout is the elliptical but I feel like my body is getting bored w/ that, so I'm hoping that running will shake things up. Does this program count as interval training?

I live over at the Metabolic Research Center forum--any other MRC'ers here? Kim

I'm all ready for W3D1 this afternoon. Kind of nervous as I did W1 and W2 last time so I knew I could do that, but this will be the first time for W3. But I'm sure I'll be fine - it's only running 3 minutes non-stop!!

Temps have dropped considerably since last week. It's not freezing yet, but yesterday it was 5C outside compared to 11C last week. I don't know what it is out there today yet - the thermometer is in the car. I only have a short-sleeved tracksuit so I may have to put a cardi on over my top and break out the gloves.

Morning ladies. Week 8 complete! I'm actually going to start something a little different today. I know I can do week 9 since it's just two more mins... so I'm going to do some interval training tonight!!!! Time to work on speed!!!

Robsia, brrrr.

Jamie, good luck!

I should finish up week 3 today! hopefully my son will go to sleep so i can do it lol

Robsia 11-24-2008 03:10 PM

W3D1 done!! Woo!!

At the end of that first three minute run I felt like I was dying!! But I did it, and when I got to the next 90 sec one it felt like a holiday - I was like "yay - I only have to run 90 secs!!" And I did the second 3 minute one also!!

I ran past a bunch of teenagers outside a high school and I half expected them to laugh at me - if I had been 30 lb heavier they probably would have - but they kind of went quiet as I went past! I guess that's a good thing! Maybe they were impressed!

I just completed Week 1 today and am actually looking forward to starting the W2 podcast on Wednesday! Week 3 scares me but I guess I just need to stay focused on W2...I'm hoping to do W2D2 on my mom's old treadmill, or maybe I will do it outside if it isn't too cold (Iowa). I cannot believe I am excited about this!

JamieJo 11-24-2008 03:45 PM

Isn't it FUN to feel excited about GAY RUNNING?!!?!? I felt the same way when I first started! Keep up with it. When you think the next week is going to be too hard, JUST DO IT! You will be so happy when you do!!! :)

It is fun! I hope I can keep up the enthusiasm. This program gives me something to focus on in the midst of all the crazy holiday temptations...I figure that running will help motivate me to stick to my good eating habits.
