Took a Rest Day yesterday, as my left knee was feeling wonky. Still not quite right this morning, but better than yesterday. Thinking I don't want to push my luck with that and get a worse injury, so may take a few days off leg work.

Enforced rest day. Note to self, dehydration from spin class + dehydration from allergy meds + a couple of drinks at work social thing + apartment heat kicking in overnight is a really, really bad mix. I was drinking lots of water yesterday up to the social thing and today. I'm almost to the point of feeling human now.
Obviously, I can skip the drinks in the future, open the apartment window & drink water before the class (as well as during & after as I was). Any other suggestions to prevent dehydration?

Nylisa - are you drinking water over the course of the whole day? Especially with allergy meds, you should be consistently drinking a lot.

Thanks Mandalinn,
I bring a 1 liter bottle of flavored sparkling water and I have that with my breakfast and continue to sip on it throughout the day. And I drink 2 12 oz cans of seltzer with lunch. And plain water & green tea here & there. Then more seltzer with dinner & in the evening. Normally, that's fine & I don't feel dehydrated. I think I need to make sure I drink water before the spin class because I sweat an awful lot during it.

Happy Friday everyone! Great job getting through to the end of the week!
Today was supposed to be a rest day, but since I had to take a break yesterday, I did the stuff I'd planned for yesterday--circuit weights & 45 mins cardio.
And I just found out my gym is renovating the locker rooms, which means guys on odd days and women on even. You can use the gym even if it's not your locker room day, but you can't change or shower or store your stuff while working out. Fortunately, there are options. The place where I work is close by,as are some other gyms in the chain, so my office could work for storage, hair & make up and another gym substitute for showering. I'll have to figure out what's going to work for me.
My main focus is trying to keep up with going to the early am strength training & spin classes which I just started going to. I've printed out a schedule for the month on outlook & I've marked off the class days affected. I'm going to look at the schedule & figure out how I can make sure I still get my 2 spin classes per week & my 2 strength training classes per week.
