Wow, that's great! Was thinking of getting a heart rate monitor.

I love mine. I originally got it because I like to measure my cardio by calories burned--I find that to be motivating. But I really love the fact that I have concrete evidence of my increasing fitness every time I get onto the treadmill. I can see that it takes me longer to get to my target zone, and I can see how much more quickly I recover from high-intensity exertion. I literally see an improvement in my fitness every single week. Love it! It was a great reward for reaching goal.

32 minutes elliptical (I'm working up to 60) followed by a nice 30 minutes in the sauna.

Had to get my exercise out of the way as I'm going away for the three day weekend.

Grrr.

Only 40 min UB strength today, because I was supposed to donate blood. But then I got deferred for spending less than 6 hours in a city that I ASKED THEM ABOUT before I left for my honeymoon and they said would be fine. Then I called AGAIN and double checked when I got back so I wouldn't waste my time going in for an appointment if I was going to be deferred...nope, still fine. So I take my lunch hour, get my finger pricked, waste half an hour of my time (it could have been cardio!) only to be told that I am deferred from donating for a YEAR because of -one- stop on my cruise that I pre-cleared with them.

Well, if I was ever going to get a tattoo, this would be the time, as I'd always considered it but didn't do it because of the 1 year donation deferral.

I repeat, grrr. May have to take an extended lunch and do some form of cardio just to burn off the frustration.

Argh! Stymied!

Gym is closed today so I decided to take my new (used) bike on a 7 mile ride around the wheatfields. Alas, I got there and discovered that my bike has a flat tire and I had no clue how to fill it up with air. (No pump). So I'm back home now (and my bf tells me I could have taken the bike to a gas station to fill it with air...Duh!) with zero exercise to report.

I'm due a day off, but still...

I did LOTS of walking and gardening this weekend, more then I normally do. Managed to drop another pound! :D

Fishing yesterday. I do not know a better tricep exercise than all day fishing. I even switched my casting arm so both arms would get a workout. Not to mention the up the hill, down the hill, up the hill from the site where we were set up.
