Meme, that a loooong time alright. That is about the time I got my computer and found this site. I wonder where Joanne and Mima are?

The fatigue I am having now is from the Pulmonary Embolisms. They said it could last up to a year or more - YIKES, I hope they are WRONG. It has been 3 months now, and my leg still hurts. Wonder how long that goes on for. Said the clot in the leg usually gets better after 3 months and the lungs after 6 months.

I am coming down with some kind of viral thing. Sore throat, runny eyes and nose. Don't like this, as can't take much to help myself while taking Warfarin.

Pamela - I am glad that you have gotten better. I believe diet does have a lot to do with FM and OA - to acidic causing inflammation. Food for thought for sure. Meme, it might be worth a try. The pain from FM that I have now is minimal, and that is good for me. It is the FATIGUE, I can't deal with.

The wind is blowing so hard - hope it doesn't blow in SNOW from somewhere

Mima - you have been busy. Guess it's not that much fun to come here and talk to YOURSELF lol Congrats on the new baby. Always such a blessing when a new little one joins the world. Good luck with the back surgery. I sure remember when I had mine and the recupe time was 4 months. I think in some cases, now, they just do it in the office, and wack off the portion of the disc that is troublesome.

I am so happy for you, that you have gotten a decent tenant for once - even one who bakes and shares. How nice is that? Will be a load off your mind when you head South this year.

Default Hey There

I guess it has been a while since I have been here.. I never get notices anymore and I have given up trying to fix that..
All is well with me and the hubby. Our son is having a rough time of it. He has been out of work for nearly 2+ years and can't find a position in his field. He went to police academy and finished there. Now he has been having a lot of health problems. Tuesday he has to have shoulder surgery. In the past couple years it has been his kidney stones with surgery, 2 ruptured disks in his back ,fractured rib, and many problems from neck surgery . He got that in a water sky fall. Now he will lose his house because he can't pay the house payments. It seems every time he looks somewhere something happens. His wife has a good job ,but, it is not enough.I pray God will help him.
I am having some problems with my weight. up and down. My nerves sends me right to the fridg and the things I should not eat.
We are hoping for rain today. Hit and miss showers don't get here to us..We live too close to the gulf so they just skip over us.
Hello Everybody. Stay well.
Joanne

Got another yeast thing...will call the dr this am for difflucan I guess. Hate taking it.

Sitting here with a big hole in the wall...we have had a water leak in the lower level since we ahve been here and they thought it was the siding and then the window and so on....yesterday we found out there is a big foundation crack...it will be sealed whenerver the concrete people can get here..then redrywalled and painted. Got furniture, sofa, cahir and ottoman upstairs in a green print..love it but it is not like the sofa I sat on....not as comfy..so they are coming out sometime to put more stuffing in it. Also some thread pulls in the chair,,not sure what they do about that. Geeze it was expensive..it should be perfect!

Hello Candice.. Sorry to hear about Problems.. That can not be fun.
Our son had his surgery and they found more wrong that showed on the mri. His thoughts of getting a job with the state is off. He may go back to school and catch up on his architecture . That is what he is good at. He got burned out and when he lost his job he sorta gave it up. He was in that area for 25 years and was in demand until everything in the job market(building) went south. Things are not good here in Fl.
I am still trying to lose some weight. Not easy..
We are going out to his house with lunch for him today. His wife had to go back to work,so it is our turn today..
The daughter will be here tomorrow for the weekend. It will be nice to see her.
Hope everyone is well.

Hi Candice and Joanne.

Candice - that sounds expensive. Hope they can do it soon, before it freezes. Maybe that doesn't matter, and perhaps it doesn't freeze that early where you live. They charge an arm and a leg for everything, anymore, and then it is just not what you expected - either cheaper made than you thought, or arriving broken (as in the case of my son).

Joanne - I sure hope your son will be up and at 'em soon. Must be a worry for him. Having had so many probelems, I am surprised that the Police Academy accepted him. I hope he can get back into his career and be content there. I know it's a bad time - everywhere. Not so bad here in Alberta, as we have oil to keep us working.

Got a haircut today and it feels soooooo much better. Will go to work tomorrow. Had a bit of a set back with a nasty virus (for me, not the computer lol) Better now, but it does seem to take it's toll.

Everybody enjoy the day.

Default Hey There

Happy - Most of this stuff (health problems) came up after he finished the academy. Some he had before but he didn't mention them as he passed their test to get in. That area is not to be,I am pretty sure, THANK GOD.. None of us wanted him to do it in the first place..
Now we are hoping it is out of system. Just about 2-3 years wasted. He is so talented in his architecture and art it is a shame for him to lose it,or not use it.
Have a good week.
Joanne

Hi - a quick note-the surgery went fine-can even walk without a cane. But no comfortable chair in living room so it's back to bed. Mima

Default Hey There

What surgery Mima? Get well soon. I guess you will be headed to Fl. soon.
Our son seems to now plan to go back to school for a refresher in cad. It is a design in architecture. That is his field and he never should have left it. He has a degree in design architecture..The jobs are hard to get here in any field.
It got chilly a couple days ago. Strange thing,it rained over most of Fl. but, Tarpon Springs stayed dry..
Have a good week everybody.

Default Hey There

Meme ..I have been here . It seems that maybe everyone has been busy or gone somewhere else.. I come in when I see that someone else but me has been here.
My son had shoulder surgery.. He told me that he has to have 6 months therapy and will not regain full use of his right arm.. He is left handed .maybe that is a blessing. He just has not taken care of himself and has had all these injuries.
It appears to be getting closer to cooler weather. I am very tired of the heat. Pretty soon I may be saying I am tired of the cold weather.
Not much exciting going on with me. Still trying to keep down the weight. I can't seem to get out of the 50's. It just goes up and down.. Sometimes I think ''what the heck am I beating myself up for.''
Have a good week everybody..

Hope the surgery helps your son. I put off seeing anyone about my shoulder. It's slowly getting a little better. I fell on my left one last Thanksgiving and on my right one last Feb. The right one is almost back to normal but the left one is still messed up. I don't want surgery! I'm just plodding along, stuck in the 150-160s, too. I'm up and down from one week to the next. This is a bad time of year for me, too. Mom and Dad's BDs were both in Oct. Dad died in Nov and the Holidays were always a big celebration time for our family.

Hubby's dad is slowly going down. He's in the bed 99% of the time now. He is 93 and his mom is 90. I'm cooking for them about 75% of the time ... it's not easy but she is worn out trying to take care of him. We all just do what we can, one day at a time!

Meme ...sorry to hear about your dad.. Things are not easy when parents get older ..In my case my hubby is 85 and starting to sleep a lot.. He does little for himself.. This makes it hard. I have not felt really good for a couple years..
The family is doing whatever they can to help our son.. I wish he was able to get more control of his life.. Illness has taken a toll. His wife is good. She has her own set of problems with her son. He is in rehab for different things plus drugs.. I have to say this family has gone through a lot in the last couple years..It can only get better soon .
Have a good week. We will keep trying with the weight problem..
