scale is up .4 today to 179.6. this is riddiculous. Im so tired of weight going up and down day after day. I tried not weighing daily but it doesnt work for me. If I dont know when it goes up it just goes higher faster.

Weight today 166.0, down .6 lbs from yesterday. I have got to make myself eat at least the 2MAD. I don't want to eat more than that and have decided that I won't. I think I need to eat at least 1 or 2 carby foods a day so that I can have energy. Can't do keto because I don't need to go through the withdrawal weakness starting keto especially while going through treatment.
Weight this morning down to 165.2 lbs, but not sure it will stay as I had potty issues yesterday. FBG 123. Not happy with that but seems to be the way it is. I have bloodwork draw this afternoon. Not sure what we will eat today. I drank a protein shake for an early breakfast since I can have something 4 hrs before draw.

Weight continues up to 179.6, but blood sugar down to 117, my lowest in a while.
I just had scrambled eggs and toast.
I have to go to Walmart today. We are out of butter. I usually buy 2 pounds at a time because DH uses a lot. I also buy soft spreadable butter. with olive oil and sea salt. We still have that. D H went to Walmart by himself yesterday because his prescription was ready. But we were on the way to the casino so he could not get other things we need. We did not go on Friday. I didnt feel good. By the time I felt better it was too late to go. we dont go on Saturday but he wanted to. No big win but we came home with almost double our money so thats a win.
Weight this morning 166.4 lbs so loss was potty related for the lower weight the past few days. FBG 117. Thank God for that since it has been high lately.
Carol Sue It is good when you come home from casino with more than you spent. Are you baking for Christmas this year? Are you going to step daughters? I've been so hungry for Christmas cookies but wouldn't buy them. I added them to a list twice and erased them because I knew my bs was going to be high.
I got my lab reports yesterday and today. I can't tell much about how this chemo mix is going to affect me because it works differently but one good thing is my CA125 which is the number that tells us if the cancer is growing or not is down 848 pts so that is good news. DH son told him how powerful it is and wondered why they didn't use it on me before. DGS cancer was 90% gone so they say he isn't going to have to do radiology.
My eating was so off the last month and my WBC are down but RBC are good. Hemoglobin was down but that happens with me but I don't want it to go any lower because I don't want to have to have any more blood transfusions if I can keep from it. I think I'm going to have to figure out how to eat more balanced without raising BG. My glucose reading was 125 which the highest it had been on my labs so will have to work better on that. Good thing I didn't get those cookies, I've just got to figure out how to eat in order to work with this new chemo treatment without gaining too much weight and try to keep all my numbers improving. I will figure it out by the Grace of God.

Scale was down .6 to 179.0. Its still 179 but might drop down in the next few days.
I hope to bake some cookies this week but I give most of them away. On the internet someone mentioned butter cookies. Those are the ones they sell in the metal tins around Christmas. Walmart had big tins and small tins so I bought a small tin. I ate quite a few last night. I like them because they are plain and not real sweet.
All.of my family likes chocolate chip cookies so I make a lot of them. DH doesnt like them, though. I make apricot horns that he likes. I dont have room in the freezer to put the cookies so I will put them in the attic. its pretty cold up there. They wont be here long because I will pass them out to my step children and give some to DHs brother. I hate giving thrm to him because he eats nothing but junk food. He is on food stamps and could be buying good healthy food but he wont. He says he gets backed up if he eats meat or vegetables but is fine if he eats sweets. He eats frozen yogurt all day. Just because its yogurt doesnt mean its healthy. I dont know how he stays alive. He is very overweight but high blood pressure is his only problem. I wish they would change the food stamp.laws to exclude junk food. it shouldd only be for healthy food. Thats the purpose of it but people buy what they want with it. He also buys a lot of bakery items, like cakes and pies. He lived with my MIL until she died. She never cared about healthy eating. She thought you could eat whatever you wanted just so you werent hungry. DH grew up having coffee and donuts going off to school even in grade school.
Today we are going to Goodwill for senior day, and bc to the bank to get $50 bills to put in cards for Christmas presents. I dont buy gifts for my step children anymore because I never know what to buy. So I give them cash so they can get what they want. They usually buy us gift cards,,but I wouldnt even know what kind they would want. Im really out of touch with them now.
Trish,I hope you are able to settle in with a WOE that works with your treatment. Im sure you could discuss it with your medical personnel, but they wont be concerned about weight gain and blood sugar like you are.
Weight was 166.0 lbs today and FBG was119. BP has been lower lately. I might have to go back to the 10 mg Lisinopril since I'm not taking the immunotherapy medicine anymore. According to the oncology office, weight was 175 which means I lost 2 lbs in the last 28 days.
2nd infusion today went very well. In fact, better than the 1st one. I had no reactions to it this time. We were tired so we decided to get pizza and come on home. We figured the stores would be packed with people getting ready for Christmas.

Today the scale was 178.2, down .4 or so. I want it to go down faster but I guess im eatong too much.
I bought pork to make pork and sauerkraut for New Years. DH saw it and decided he wants it for supper tonight. Thats okay, there is enough for another meal. I bought loin boneless chops for him and country ribs for me. And I put some kielbassi in too. We usually add hot dogs too but he doesnt want them today.
Tonight I want to go for a ride to look at Christmas lights. we have done that in the past and its enjoyable.
As far as I know, no one is coming to our house for Christmas. DHs birthday is on the 28th. He wull be 83. They will come for his birthday and we will have Christmas then. When his mother was still living, she used to always come to visit on his birthday. So I started inviting everyone else that day instead of having everyone coming on separate days. It was easier. Now that the kids have inlaws, they started spending Christmas with the inlaws and coming here on Dads birthday. It works for all of us. I will have sandwiches and such for a light meal.

Well, as I knew it would be my weight and FBG was and is high after all that saline and glucose. Weight is 169.6. FBG was 206 yesterday but was 124 this morning. One good thing is my bp is staying good and steady. I will have to make better food choices on treatment days from now own. However, all that glucose is giving me energy and have been able to do 45 minutes of exercises yesterday and will get that done today. I can the sugar rush coming down and hopefully the fluid will come off as well. I am doing so much better on this new round of chemo that I really can't complain. I remember when I did the first round in 2023, I was in a wheelchair and could do very little. So I'm good.
Merry Christmas to everyone. I pray y'all have a great and blessed day.

Scale was up to 179.4. Im not surprised after the sauerkraut yesterday. it sure was giod, though. Today Im baking a half ham and I made potato salad. Its just for DH and I. we were invited to step daughters but we want a quiet day at home. They are cooking a ham but her husband cant eat it so they also cook a standing beef rib roast, which I enjoy trying. But not today. Her in laws are coming so they wont be alone.
I hope everything continues to go well with your treatment, Trish.
Everyone have a joyous and blessed Christmas.
