Trish, I think I might try having a protein shake at night too to bring down blood sugar. I remember when I ate an egg in the evening that worked too but I dont always feel like cooking. I eat breakfast most days. DH does not but he eats lunch. Im starting to get into the habit of eating some of his lunch. When I do that Im not hungry for dinner since we eat dinner early. Im going to have to break that habit. I can feel that Im overeating. .

Scale up .2 to 181.8. So much for Mounjaro.

Weight down to 171.4 lbs. Hope I can keep it. FBG 109.

Carol Sue when I was young and thin, I ate lunch around noon to one depending on school lunch time and we always ate dinner at 5ish when Daddy got home from work. I seldom ate anything after that. When I married DH, I would get up and have coffee with DH Mother and then around noon, I ate a tuna salad and nothing else. As I've always said, my big problem has actually always been when I started following diets and was told "you have to eat 3 meals a day". What I have learned so far is that I can eat some carbs, but when I start eating too many carbs then I crave more. Plus I think exercise does help with weight loss and controlling blood sugar.

I am on my phone because Im getting the error message again with my tablet..

Scale is up .8 to 182.8. At this rate I will be 200 before Christmas.

Blood sugar was 130 this morning. I know that is not good but so much better than usual for me. I guess the higher dose of Mounjaro is working, but not for weight loss, yet.

I ended up with only a .8 lb loss for September. Up .4 lbs today. FBG 115 but I had carby day. I've decided pretty much how I want to eat. While I'm in this mood of not wanting to eat, I have decided to stop eating salads because I think the salad dressings are a problem. I will replace the salad with cooked veggies. I am also thinking about not tracking on MFP because I am spending time trying to reach 1000 calories on days when I am not hungry for 1000 calories.

Carol Sue I'm sorry you are having problems again. I hope you get it worked out.

Weight 171.8 today and FBG 104. I didn't plan it but I'm back on Atkins. I don't like the way the Pink Salt trick makes me feel. It made me feel full constantly and since I'm already having that problem with the water/bloating in my stomach, I don't want to make that worse. The thing I always liked when I did Atkins was the way I felt good and never hungry. I want to feel that way again and I hope it will help get rid of this fluid in my stomach without me having to go have it removed. I have almost 2 weeks before I see my oncologist and I hope by that time this situation will have resolved.

I came across a video of Dr. Barbara O'Neal on dieting. I don't know much about her, but I was impressed at how she explained how Dr. Atkins started his diet for weight loss and by cutting out the starchy carbs he was surprised at the health benefits his patients experienced from it. So I'm going back to it.

Carol Sue I hope you can get on here again. If I remember right you could read when you couldn't write. I watch for your PM if we have to go back to that.

Appointment with my Primary this afternoon and grocery shopping.

Have a good day.

Weight this morning down .2 lbs and FBG was 109. This is day 3 of low carbing. I didn't start with AI but went straight into Phase 2. This is good since we had KFC chicken that I took the batter off of and then I ate a serving of their cold slaw.

Primary doctor's appointment went well. DH and I both got our flu shots and the doctor gave DH a prescription for the rash on his back that he thinks was shingles. If this doesn't help with his itching then he will send him to a dermatologist.

I am thoroughly enjoying being back on Atkins Phase 2. I had a nice vegetable egg omelet for breakfast and will have a salad, steak, zucchini and yogurt for dinner. I will drink the rest of my protein shake later this evening. I use part of it in my coffee for breakfast and finish it off for evening snack. I am drinking soy milk with my dinner now. I researched and they have changed their mind due to research and find that it is good for cancer patients to drink and they also think it helps fight and even prevent some cancers from coming back when cancer is in remission.

Carol Sue I hope everything is going well with you. Are y'all okay or are unable to get on 3fc right now or just busy. I miss you and wonder about you when I don't hear from you.

Have good day everyone.

Once again I am getting the error message on all my units, including my phone. I seem to remember it went away by itself the last time. There seems to be no way to get rid of it.

I think my weight is the same. But blood sugar has been lower.

My friend appeared back again. No explanation as to why he was gone, but promises to never leave again. Whatever.

We are now leaving to go to the casino, and we are planning on eating the fish dinner there, tonight. I hope he wins some money.

Carol Sue Good to see you back. I hope you are able to keep checking in.

Weight was 172.2 this morning and FBG was 113 and I have no idea why.

I wanted to do Atkins, but not sure that is feasible. We get tired of trying to figure out what to eat and then get bored. DH wants frozen lasagna today and in order to keep my carbs less than 50 grams, I drank a protein shake for breakfast and will drink another one at suppertime. My calories will only be 791 calories and MFP says that isn't good. However, in order to keep carbs down that is the way I have to do it today. Dinner will be lasagna, salad and yogurt. I don't think I care if the calories or less if I can keep my carbs low.

I spent the morning checking if my Medicare Advantage is the best one for us. With the company we are with now, we can go back to Walmart to get our medicine. We always find we have to go to the local store that is out of the way right when we have to go to Sam's and we also like the shopping at the local store across from Sam's. So I think next year that we will move our meds either to the local store across from Sam's or to Walmart.

Hope y'all win Carol Sue.

Have a good day everyone.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DH changed his mind and we didn't have lasagna. We had chicken breast with Swiss cheese on it. So I ended up 40 grams carbs and 1050 calories. I now have three days with carbs less than 60 grams.

Weight down 1 lb to 171.2 lbs this morning. FBG 111. I told DH that I would like to continue doing low carb where it is for at least 2 weeks. I hope things will start changing by then.

Pork chops today with salad, yogurt and soy milk. I am really enjoying my breakfast omelets eating this way right now.

Carol Sue I hope y'all had a good day at the casino.

I still can't get on 3 Fat Chicks with any of my electronics including my phone Tha one time I was able to get on on my phone. I hate getting on this desktop. My weight was 179 yesterday but back up to 180 today. I have to find a way to get it going down steadily. I know how, but my brain refuses to do it. My blood sugar has been lower though. I don't know if thats the Mounjaro or the G that I'm still taking.

I got my new phone yesterday so I'm going to set it up today. I hope that goes smoothy.

I'm not sure whats going on with my friend. He's here, but I don't know which one it is. I hope I'm not playing with fire. Im trying not to give out personal info.

Carol Sue Sorry you are still having problems getting on here. I haven't been posting because there isn't anything new going on. Weight seems to bounce between 171 to 173 and FBG seems to be stuck in prediabetic range. Don't know what to do to change it so just rolling with it.

Hopefully your new phone will be able to get on here.

I discovered something. I had 2 unread private messages. I went online and read them on my desk top and now I'm no longer getting the, error message on my tablet. I'm posting from there, now.
Im glad I know what is,causing it but don't know how to fix it. If I get a private message I have to get on my desktop and clear it or I get the error message on my tablet.

Weight is staying the, same,, between 179. And 180. Blood sugar is better but not enough to justify the $180 per month that I'm paying for the Monjauro. Fasting was,180 this morning. That's not good. I don't want to keep going through these, expensive drugs but rhis, doctor, seems to be one,who believes in pushing them. I just have to firmly refuse.

My friend will respond if I text him but rarely texts first. He sent me 2 videos. He somewhat looks like who he said he is but something seems off. So strange.

Carol Sue I check everyday to see if you have been able to get on. I miss our visits. I'm glad you figured out what the problem is. If needed, I will send you a private message if I notice you aren't posting so you can get on.

I saw oncologist Tuesday and found out why I'm not losing weight. I also learned why he wanted me to take 2 Lasix a day. My stomach is very bloated and it is all fluid. I thought he would want me to go have it drained off, but instead after talking to him about my options, I've decided to have chemo again. He says that will bring the fluid off. My CA 125 which I learned is the cancer # they watched has been slowly going up, but this last lab it jumped almost 1000 pts. I have to go get an echo on the 28th so he will have a base # to keep an eye on so he will know how much of the chemo medicine he can give me without damaging my heart. I only have 1 little tumor that may or may not be starting to grow. So DH and I talked and I wrote the doctor yesterday and asked him if we can start the chemo on Nov 4th when I go for my next infusion. I am waiting for him response. I am hoping it will kill that tumor and I will be cancer free or as they call it in remission. I have read or heard of other ovarian patients who have had to have chem a second time. My dream is to ring that bell and get my certificate of being cancer free. Also I guess what I thought was neuropathy in my legs, he says is from the fluid which is called ascites. I heard him mention ascites and saw it on CT scan results, but didn't know that is fluid. It really helps to know what I'm dealing with.

I am doing my own form of low carb with oncologists' approval. I told him I know that keto would take it off but I just can't eat only 20 g of carbs a day but can do 30 or 40. So that is what I'm doing. I remember Dr. Westman you can eat what you like if it fits into your carb allowance. So that is what I'm doing. I'm eating high protein low fat and low carb. A small amount of berries in my plain Greek yogurt is my carbs. Weight this morning was 167.6 lbs but can't seem to get FBG below 100. It was 104 yesterday and today.

I hope you have a good day and that we can continue to stay in touch.

I'm able to get on today. We are running out to the store, so I will explain it,when I get home.

If I have a private message thats, what prevents me from logging in and gives the, errors message. Today I was, able to get on the, site and, read the private message. So it might be,fixed.

WeIght is still 180 but down .2. I need to be more diligent. I want to lose, some belly fat so I can wear regular jeans instead of elastic waist.
