Carol Sue I use a band to strengthen my legs, but need to learn some I can do for upper body. However, this is a start. It seems to help the legs stay strong. I will be glad when I can back to the bicycle and vibration platform. However, believe I need to take it easy also.

Weight about the same and FBG was back down to 106. I would like it lower but under 110 is good if I can keep it there. I am definitely considering edging back down to a keto woe although DH isn't fond of the idea. I have some fluid buildup in the abdomen and the only way I think I can get it under control is either a semi-carnivore or keto. Until I see NP Friday, I am taking 2 Lasix a day or at least most days like I did before. I hope when I get back to exercise and ketoish that I won't have to take 2 of them.

That is interesting about your friend. He sounds so mysterious and maybe is very busy.

Have a good day.

Weight today 179.6. down 1.2 from Tuesday.
Trish, I have some exercise bands I bought at Goodwill. They are new, still in a sealed package. I dont really know what to do with them. I was planning on looking online for exercises to do with the bands. I also have a DVD for exercises to do seated in a chair. I havent tried doing that yet either. when I start back to exercising I will be doing my various exercise machines while watching my soap operas in the afternoon. They are only on Mon-Fri so i need something different if I exercise Sat or Sun. I usually do an exercise DVD on those days. I also have Walk Away the Pounds and do that on weekends, too.

Trish, I noticed that you said DS funeral is on Saturday. I read back a few days and did not see where you mentioned that she passed away. When did that happen and why? I know she was having problems but didnt realize it was that bad. Im sorry to hear this.

Carol Sue DS passed away June 25th on our Daddy's birthday. She never got but one or two chemo treatments. Her body never was able to tolerate them. The side effects were so bad for her. DBIL said the blisters on her feet were the size of a quarter so she couldn't walk. As she told me when she asked me to let her go, that was no way to live. She was in constant pain. It was better for her to go on. According to her daughter she had 9 tumors and they only gave her like 4 months to live. DS never told me all that.

I bought my bands from Amazon. I found some exercises I could do with them online. I didn't do any today because I overdid the exercises yesterday and my leg didn't like it. I will take Ibupropin when I go to bed and it will be fine tomorrow.

Deepest condolences on the passing of DS. I know you two were close. its a shame the treatment didnt work for her but im so glad it worked for you.

Today the scale was 179.8, so im up .2 but still below 180. Im hoping to continue down.

When I get on the scale every morning, Brodie comes over and looks at the scale,as if he wants to see how much I weigh. He is so cute. Yesterday I accidently stepped on him. He yiked and ran away. I think hes okay. HE only weighes 8 lbs. I weigh 179. Big difference.

I think we are going to the casino again today. He hasnt said yet but we usually go on Friday. He is doing ok with the catheter. I have to call the urologist today to see if they received the referral.

Carol Sue Thank you for your condolences. It is a shame that she couldn't take the chemo. However, I do think she had so many other health problems that I'm blessed not to have. We both have sensitive skin too but hers was worse. I'm thankful she is with the Lord and no more pain and suffering, but I do miss her.

My weight was the same this morning, but the strange thing is that my FBG was 116. Not sure if that was accurate since I ate more of a low carb meal yesterday. Maybe it doesn't work for my bs anymore. I will have to see.

I'm headed to oncology in a few minutes. I have appt with NP and then my infusion. Not sure what we will eat today. We get something after. We discussed Arby's, LJS and even chicken. Neither of us get hungry lately. Not sure why.

I'm glad DH is getting used to the catheter, but hope he will find he doesn't have to have it permanently. Have a good day at the casino.

Have a good day everyone.

I did some gambling today which I dont usually do. I put $20 in a machine and won $460. Then put $40 in another and won $192. $20 in another and won $100. I didnt tell DH because when he ran out of money he would have wanted to spend my winnings. He ended up bringing $100 home but still doesnt know about my winnings.

I hipe DH doesnt need the catheter. I want him back to normal. His brother had one but I dont know if he still had it when he passed away..

Since I was hungry but didnt feel like cooking I ate a deli turkey sandwich. After DH got up I was going to tell him I already ate and don't cook breakfast. But he said he wanted McDonalds breakfast. If I told him I didnt want any he would not have gone for himself. So here I am eating a breakfast sandwich when Im not hungry. No more eating until I get hungry again.

All day yesterday I tried to pay my Insurance for Auto and Home but could not get it to work either online or by phone. We gave up and went to the casino. I tried again this morning. The online website would not recognize my policy number. I called customer service and finally got transferred to someone who said she had my credit card number on record from last time and now its paid. I was concerned because it was due yesterday and we were driving without paid insurance.

Then today I got a termination notice for water. I had paid it last week so I checked the bank online and that payment was recorded. They must have crossed in the mail. This morning DH told me we had no water. But it was from workmen up the street, not a termination. Its back on now. I hope they are finished because I have to take my shower.

Still no sign of my other issue. I guess thats done.😪

Weight this morning was 171.6 lbs and FBG 107. I can live with that. Some of my weight gain is caused by a fluid buildup in my lower abdomen and another place causing my stomach to feel and look bloated. I can go in and have the fluid in my stomach drained off, but I hate that and will go back to the 2 Lasix a day and see if I can get rid of it without having it drained. It isn't any fun having that done. I had to have that done the first year when I was having chemo. Even NP agreed that she understood me not wanting to have it done if I don't have to as it could become a thing I have to do more often.

Carol Sue That is great the money you won. I guess I would do that if I thought I would win, but I don't think I would have the self-control to stop while I was ahead. Took me a long time to learn that I was losing more than I was winning when I first started playing back when TX first started having lottery games here.

Going to DS Funeral this afternoon Then we will be going to the store for meds and a few groceries. I think DH wants LJS so we will get that for a late dinner.

Have a good day.

Trish, I seem to have what it takes to stop when Im ahead when gambling. When I gambled regularly I always wanted to bring my winnings home. DH likes to continue playing with his. Sometimes it pays off and sometimes not. I got into the habit of not telling him when I won. He would be out of money and wanted some of my winnings. I would usually tell him when we got home. So far he doesnt know I won yesterday. Its in my purse so he might see it if he goes looking for something. Or maybe I'll hide it.

Have you ever heard of the Pink Salt Recipe for Weight Loss? I saw it mentioned but cant find what you do.

I found information about it by googling "Pink salt recipe for weight loss.". There are articles and You Tube videos about it, if you are interested. I already have the salt. You dissolve it in warm water and add ACV, or Lemon juice, and honey if you want it sweetened.

Carol Sue I keep seeing things about the pink salt trick on FB but nothing that gives you directions. I hadn't thought of googling it.

Weight was up .2 lbs but still 171.8 so I guess yesterdays 171.6 was real. I'm mostly trying to keep calories low and eat some carbs, although I want to keep them lower than 100 and keep calories less than 1200. My FBG was 117, but that is because I ate 2nd meal late because I didn't eat before we went to the funeral and I have to take pills 2 times a day.

I was going to stop the Dannon individual yogurts, but DH bought me a whole lot more. He said he will help me eat them.

Service for sister went very well. The video they did of her was nice and I told DBIL that I didn't remember us all being that young. I've got to go on watch it again because there was a picture of DS, DBIL, me and a man. I asked DBIL who the man was and it was DH#2. I do not remember him looking like that as we were all so young when it was taken.

Hope everybody has a blessed Sunday.

Scale down .4 to 180.2. Down is down. So Im pleased.

Im glad the funeral service went well. She knew you all loved her. Its nice that they had a viseo of everyone when younger, and unusual that you didnt recognise DH #2. DS is,at peace.

We already went to Walmart yesterday but will probably go to Goodwill today for Senior day.

Weight up .6 lbs, and FBG 116. Back on lower carb today and exercises done today.

Carol Sue when is your DH appointment with the specialist? Praying he won't have to wear the catheter.

We won't go anywhere until Wednesday as we have all the groceries that we need. We both have lab Wednesday for Primary doc and I go get my hair trimmed.

Have a good day.

Ive been trying to make an appointment for DH to see the Urologist. They wont make an appointment until they receive a referral from the PCP. The PCP said they sent it, Ulology said they didnt receive it. Today Ive left messages, no one is returning my call. DH is so angry hesays hes going back to ER ant tell them to just take the catheter out. They wont do that because what if he still cant urinate? Maybe if he would make these calls he would start screaming at thrse prople and get results. Im trying to be polite. Its as if no one cares. The hospital does not have a urologist. This is very frustaring and has DH and I fighting. Its not my fault but he has to yell at someone. The nurse who lives next door to us works in the next county. She said there is a shortage of urologists and its next to impossible to get an appointment with onevthat isnt months away

I also tried to get an appointment with my cardiologist and they said none available, so call back another time. I haven had an aooointment withvthem in several years because any time I call there are no appointments available. When I go to the hospital the doctor scolds me for not being seen in cardiology. The only time Im seen is in ER for a problem. I have to have a heart attack because I cant get prevention.
