I got weighed at the Dr today. I've lost the 5 lbs I gained in May. I'm down to 296 lbs again. I'm very happy.

I'll have to do personals another time. Im sooooo incredibly tired.

Night.
Congratulations on the weight loss! I hope you got enough sleep.

The scale was down today. It's an acceptable weight. i would like to not gain back what I lost.
Projected high temp today 71. I think it will be higher than that.

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday

I love my car, flower, thank you.

Your weight will come around, flower. You'll fall back into your healthy habits no problem.

Thank you!! Gotta keep going. I've been losing about 10 lbs a month so I have something to shoot for this month.

Long story on the cat. She keeps getting out. I'll explain this mess later. She got out this afternoon and I finally got some sleep.

It's going to be 85 either wed or Thurs. Time to take the dog to the river and put my feet in.

I have fantastic news.

First of all, the car is great. Elvira went for her first ride yesterday. She seems fine with it.

St Vincent DePaul called today. They are going to help me with household items. I need everything. When I moved here I came with almost nothing. They are even going to help find me a bed soon. I am so happy.

I also found a pair of pants and tee shirt at Salvation Army today. They were free.

Now, I don't want anyone feeling sorry for me on here. Next month, I should get my full ssdi check and even with my rent and small car payment, I'll still have about $400 left over. I'll be fine.

Lisa, sounds like you had a wonderful day!

The weather here is picking up. It was nice to see the sun today.

I decided to get my hair dyed and surprisingly the place I called this morning asked if I wanted to come in tonight. So I did and now I have dark hair. I liked my hair before but just needed a change.

I have been feeling sad and the eating has been bad. I am just not focused. Trying to be optimistic though. I don’t know why I make all these plans that make sense but then I don’t follow through. I feel like a failure but I should think about how great I feel when I am doing what I should, instead of thinking about how poorly I met my goals today. Today is over.

I had to put the scale away again a couple days ago. I can’t deal with weigh ins at the moment.

My mother called me this weekend and it is STILL stressing me out. I need to try not to think about things that stress me out.

I think the weather becoming suddenly nicer is reminding me that summer is around the corner and I am not summer-ready.

Hi all
I read all the posts. But I have not gotten to sleep yet and the birds are singing. So personals will have to wait until Wednesday night.

What a luxury to have the bedroom eindow open! Yesterday the high was 73 degrees. Guess the upstairs is still warm enough. Didn't have to close the window. That's the good news.

Yesterday I ate way too many I should not have. Absurdly fattening. It all happened in the late afternoon and early evening. I feel horrible now. I am going to do my level best to eat low carb and low calorie today. Mygoal, low calorie low carb 5 days a week. Of course I am feeling that I let myself down. I want to shift the behaviors around food. Because I DID let myself down. And I don't want to be that person. So low cal. and carb 5 days a week. And NO weighing myself.

I hope everyone has a good Wednesday.

good morning!

Lisa congrats on the car!! CUTE and energy-efficient!! 40 miles/gallon is awesome, that's close to what I get on my motorcycle!! So glad you found a source of household items that you need. There are alot of caring people out there which is so good to discover Oh and very glad Elvira approves of her new ride

PandaCupcake - - sorry to hear that talking to your mother brings you stress that is not cool. but if it upsets you, you should try to avoid it, I agree that we need to distance ourselves from things that bother us. I'm sorry that you feel some negative thoughts if you haven't met daily goals. Much better to TRY to focus on what you have done. I'm glad you are getting Spring weather!

flower I hope you can stick to your plan that helps you feel in-control Yay for 70's and having the window open!!!! and hearing birds sing in the morning!!!! and being able to do a little pick up outside!! yes I am excited too congrats on seeing on the scale what you like as acceptable. That is all our wishes hope you can stick to your resolve of low cal/low carb 5 days, come here if you need strength!

Coop Hi and how are you?? and dealing with the health news that OH got..? thinking of you, Coop! are you getting Spring weather?

Kathleen thinking of you also! you must be having warmer weather by now? getting to enjoy some walkies with pups?

So we had 4 days in a row of sun and warmth!! and for my 2 days off , today and tomorrow? RAIN and 44 I know Mother Earth appreciates the rain, and at least it's not snow, but I wanted to be outside doing yard work!!! grrr. I know I could put some layers on and be outside and start to do yard pickup but it just isn't as much fun. Please keep fingers crossed for me next week, when i have 7 days off and hopefully can work outside!

have a dental cleaning today at 1 pm and I've been flossing like crazy for a month hope to get a good report. The dentist will gently remind me that I need some more major $$$ work, I did 2 gold crowns 2 years ago, paid them off, then had the cataract surgery last year, am *just* finishing paying THAT off ($4000 out of pocket!!!) and now I guess I can take on another debt As long as I can work I guess I can pay off the credit card

have a great day!

I just went out in the rain to take out the trash after I emptied my fridge.
I’m not sure about some of the dairy products. I have plain yogurt and some other items.
I left those in the fridge for now.

I ate too much today (again) and now my stomach is upset and feel headachy.
Ugh.

Holly, Boooo to poor weather on your days off.

Lisa I am so impressed that you have been losing about 10 lbs a month. That's great !!
Glad you were able to get some sleep. I remember when I had cats. Trying to keep them in was difficult. Sometimes impossible. 85 degrees? I hope you enjoy the time at the river with your dog. Glad to hear that there are people out there who are giving you what you need during this time. It can be so gratifying to meet kind people who are wanting to help when we are in need. Great that you will be getting SSDI check soon. What a relief that will be.

PandaCupcake sounds like you are in a funk. I understand how that feels when I am there, which, in full disclosure is now. You wrote about how you are seeing what you are not doing, instead of how you feel when you are meeting goals. I personally think that during times of saddness, its a challenge to change that thinking. IDK what works. I have heard all sorts of things. From being in nature, to "earthing" to magic mushrooms, lol. I hope the sad feeling will lift soon. I still hope you can take some time off from work to do things you enjoy. If that is at all possible. Just read your last post. Sorry the food thing is so difficult at this time. I DO understand when that happens. This whole food and weight thing can be so painful, both emotionally and physically. It can be a painful vicious cycle.

Holly I think there are going to be some really nice days next week when you have time off. Warmer temperatures most of the week. And sunshine for at least 5 of the 7 days. Maybe rain on Thursday and Friday. Thats the (weather) gospel according to WPTZ,
Sorry you need a crown. I have heard that some people take medical vacations to other countries just to have procedures done. eg dental. The cost is much cheaper in most countries. I too need dental work. Crowns and probably a root canal. In my next lifetime I plan to have enough money to get dental work done, lol. I find that flossing makes a big difference in home care. So I hope your dentist noticed that.

Things have been challenging. Not enough money to pay medical and monthly bills. And to buy the necessary things. So anxiety is through the roof. If anxiety caused weight loss, I would be all set I am just hoping that by some miracle things work out this and next month. The chronic strep and other health care conditions I have really wipe me out financially. I do go to a great MD. But she prefers if possible that I treat the chronic strep with a naturopath. With a prescription back up when I need it. The naturopath keeps this body from totally breaking down. So a lot of my money goes to that. I am almost 67 and on medicare. So no more insurance coverage for naturopaths.

Next thing is to begin treatment for a genetic condition that I have. There is no cheap way to treat it. Hopefully though the end result will be reduced depression, anxiety, ADD and a few other things which are symptoms of the condition. My cousin was the one who first tested positive for it. She kept telling me to be tested. Finally I was. It does run in families. Fortunately, I do not have the most serious symptoms. Tretment for it an ongoing process. So I will be going to the naturopath for a long time. Most MDs do not know how to treat this condition. I am hoping the end result will be great. Sorry if I sound down. I am hoping that is temporary. Miracle of enough money will help more than anything. And I am expecting that. btw, food was better today. Still a bit high in carbs. But definitely low enough in calories. So, yay for today! I
hope everyone has a good Thursday. Pat

lisa congratulations on the new car, it's really nice, and looks good and efficient! Nissans are good cars too, so I hope it runs well for you. Well done for all the weight loss so far - that's fantastic! And it's such good news that the church group are helping you out with furniture you're doing well

holly how did your first few days at the summer job go? We had a few nice days here, but it's gotten colder again, and raining more. Like you say though, at least it's not snowing!

Flower I'm glad you're getting back on track after your family weekend, it sounds like you're still recovering mentally though. I hope you don't have to go through that too often!

panda don't be too hard on yourself for slipping up - it happens, but you can put it behind you now. I hope your new hair colour picks you up! It's good to have some non-food treats to fall back on

Well I reached my interim weight goal, but I measured my height yesterday and I'm a little shorter than I thought I was, so I need to lose another 6lbs to no longer be obese I've lost 40lbs already though, which is great! Especially because of how hard it was coming off this time last year.

OH has been a bit grumpy after his news, but it is what it is. All we can do is make sure he doesn't get sicker. He's had such a rotten few years. We really could just do with a break from the deluge of bad stuff.

Coop. Congratulations on the 40 lb loss. That's great. You sound like the kind of person who will lose those 6 lbs.
yes you are right of course. I was still recovering from my trip when I wrote the words above. Much better now. Back to normal.

Today was a good day. All went great. Was a bit rainy. Bug that's okay too. I can see growth starting on the tree in my wooded back yard. All is good.

I hope everyone has a great Friday, Pat

Flower,

There is help out there for people who are struggling and trying to get on their feet. It's refreshing to know that.

Paycheck cannot get here soon enough. lol

Ladies,

Sasha got out again, damn cat. She has an appt on May 4th to get fixed. If she is pregnant, they will take the babies. I know that sound cruel but I can't afford more kitties. My luck, she'd have a huge litter. Please don't think too bad of me.

I'm going on ssa every couple of days to check the account to see what amount I'm getting on the third.

I see Trudy today so I'll get weighed. I'm nervous.

I over did it yesterday, my body is so tired. I'm dragging today. After my Dr appt, I'm coming home to take a much needed nap.

I'd love to go to the river today. It's going to be 84, then the next few days it's going downhill and won't be in the 80s until next Thursday. I'm just so incredibly sleepy.

Much love to all.

Holly,

I love my car. City mpg is lower than 40 but it's still really good. I'm guessing 30 mpg. It's a manual too.

They gave me a couple bath towels, wash clothes, kitchen towels, plates, bowls, spoons, forks and knives. 2 of everything. In time, I'll be able stock up but for now, I'm good.

My eyes are so heavy today. I wish I didn't have to see Trudy, I'm so tired. I'm going anyway though.

I worked out at PT and then went to Wal Mart and scouted out things I need next month. I bet I walked for an hour. By late yesterday, I hardly had the strength to walk.

Hugs to all.

Thank you Flower and Coop.
Great job Coop!

I feel better today. Yesterday I was miserable but guess what- Last night I got a great massage at a place in my neighborhood and then went home and slept for 11 hours.

Today I planned to work until 4, but ended up working til 6:30pm but got a lot done and now I am relaxing.

Lisa, I’m happy to read the car is great!
