  • Hi ladies,

I don't feel like talking about me tonight. I'm going through one of those quiet times.

    How is everyone?

    Holly,
When are your days off? I can never remember. When do you start your summer job? Are you still doing yard work?

    Kathleen,
    We miss you very much.

    Monica,
We miss you too and hope you're OK.

    Coop,
How is OH? Is he still down? I hope not, there are things he can do to feel better. I hope he is proactive. I try to be, makes my moods better.

    Flower,

I love your name. I adore flowers. I used to give my mom flowers on special occasions mainly because I love flowers. I think she knew that but loved getting them anyway.

    Panda,

How are you feeling? I know you are struggling a bit. Someone told me once, it's not about the end result but the journey. You've probably heard that too but I really like it.

My therapist told me a while back: Integrity is what you do when no one is looking.
    I love that. I haven't forgotten it.

I hope this Sat night finds you all having fun. If I forgot anyone, I am so sorry.

that is fantastic and SO TRUE!!! and it makes you be true to yourself and your ideals and honesty!!! thank you for that wonderful reminder Lisa and it does help when one is struggling, to calm yourself and just do the right thing

Lisa - I would be doing yard work if the weather cooperated (rain) and if I had the time off from work...but starting tomorrow, I have ONE FULL WEEK OFF and I hope SO VERY MUCH for at least 3 days of weather that I can work on the yard!!!

After that week off, I have 2 days at the deli job, then ONTO THE SUMMER JOB

Lisa - we hope Sasha kitty is not pregnant but if she is, that is great that the shelter will take the kittens...we do NOT think ill of you for being proactive to finding them homes!! best wishes to keep that kitty inside til then

Coop - wow 40 lbs is a wonderful accomplishment!! and boooo to losing height, that is just wrong and very unfair

Hi to PandaCupcake and Flower, Kathleen and Monica!

speaking of 'flowers' I was so happy to discover that a peony I divided and moved, is coming up they are the over 100-year-old peonies from my grandparents homestead here in Vermont and I have lovingly grown and tried to divide them for 20 years. I also found the rhubarb that I divided and transplanted, the 2 transplants are coming up, the parent plant does not look happy I think I was over-zealous in chopping it up.

and yesterday in the 20 minutes I had after getting home from work and before it started raining I dug up a small bed that I hope to have all zinnias this year.

have to get ready for work the new boss ... not sure about him...he had a weird comment to me yesterday too, I let it go but it's been festering in me just have to get through today and then a week off!!!
  • Hi Holly, hi ladies,

I'll do personals later. I don't feel good at all. Majorly sick to my stomach.

I just took Ranitidine. It's actually for heartburn but sometimes helps my upset stomach. I ate supper about 5 and felt like throwing up. Food doesn't even sound good now. bleh

I've been reading since about 3 this afternoon.

    I've got chills. Brrrrr

    Night all.
  • Lisa I hope you're not getting sick! feeling like throwing up and getting chills, not good Hope you are feeling better today!

Today is the first day of my week off! and it snowed overnight!! It's almost melted now but for pete's sake we are sick of the white stuff! and it's only 40 degrees out there. Puts a real damper on me thinking I could do outside work!

So I'll just veg out inside and stay warm

Husband and I had big cheat night last night (FOOD cheat night lol) I had a beer as soon as I got home from work, then we gorged on his lasagna, oh my gosh I ate so much, that even when I woke up in the middle of the night, I was thinking 'oh my gosh I am still full' and garlic bread, then ice cream for dessert. Back to chicken and cauliflower today

Hi to everyone else and please send some warm weather my way!!
  • It's 68 here, Holly. It's cloudy, sun going in and out but it's really nice out. Your region should be warming up soon, I would think.

I feel a lot better today. I took 2 doses of ranitidine last night and felt better. I cancelled PT this morning. Going back tomorrow.

My eyes are heavy. I stayed up late last night, reading.

Now lasagne and garlic bread sounds so good, Holly.

Where is everyone? I miss your posts.
  • Lisa, I’m glad you’re feeling better.

Yesterday I had my double workout then a skincare free class.
I had a relaxing yoga class last night- one of those restoring sessions where you use blankets and bolster pillows and foam blocks to just stretch and rest. It’s very calming.

Today I just worked and did one small load of laundry. Just relaxing now.
Tomorrow night I have a cycle class to try and I’m happy because I’ve read it’s not the highly choreographed kind- I dislike when I’m on a bike and they want ppl to be doing dance moves, push-ups and dumbell presses at the same time. I already take other fitness classes for that- when i do a cycle class I want to he doing sprints, not pushups and arm exercises. I just want the cardio.
  • Lisa I hope the cat is not preg. But if she is, how could anyone judge you for finding the only logical option you could? Of course you cannot afford to take care of kitties. No judgements. I bet you are very much looking forward to the 3rd of the month. When you can finally get some financial independence. Maybe you can buy a flowering potted plant to keep outside Just read that your stomach feels sick. And that you have acid issues. When I get that, I take bulk powdered slippery elm. I put it in a glass jar with some water. Shake to combine. Wait a few minutes and then drink the sludge. It works miracles for me. The SE powder soothes and even heals my stomach lining. IDK if it would help in your case. But thought I would share it. Years ago I got the suggestion from an herbalist friend.

Holly Congrats on the peonies surviving the transplant. Peonies are some of my favorite flowers. Glad you will not have to deal much longer with the new Deli boss. Soon onward to the summer job. Hope the weather cooperates with your week off. Sunday was so raw and rainy. Glad the Lasagna and garlic bread was good!

Panda The yoga sounds great. I cant imagine doing cycle class with all the other stuff added in.

All is great here. Warmer weather will begin Tuesday. So one more day to get through. I have been eating very fattening foods. IDK what has happened to my willpower. Seems I am craving sweets....among other things all carbs or cheese. None of which are good for me. Sunday I kept it down to a dull roar. I think this is a combo of rebound from the diet sprint I did. And then just getting out of the normal groove when I was away and then after I returned. I'll get back on track. I always do.

I hope you all have a great Monday. Pat
