Default Tuesday, May 14th

Good Morning Kids,

Its finally sunny here today, we had some rain yesterday, it came down in buckets. We planted our veggie garden on Sunday and the poor plants are all limp and just hanging from the rain We planted some zucchini, LOTS of tomatoes all different kinds, cucumbers, eggplant, corn, carrots, onions, celery and I think thats it. Its so awesome, last year I made fresh eggplant parm and it just melted in your mouth. Nothin like fresh veggies.

Other than that nodda new.

Have a great day and chin(s) up

Love, Leens

Default Mornin'

Hi Leens and Lizzy and those to come,

It's a lovely Tuesday here in CA. We had a pretty good sized earthquake last night that woke me up. So, I missed a little sleep and may be crankier than normal.. God help my co-workers

Leens, I want some zucchini, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplant,.. etc.. I want some of everything!! If you have a george foreman grill, a yummy and healthy way to fix those veggie is slice up, drizzle with some olive oil ( I use about 1/2 T when cooking up a couple of big zucchinis), balsamic vinegar and what ever spices you like. I usually add some red pepper flakes and garlic. Grill on the grill until they are the way you like then.. I like mine with nice black grill marks and sort of chewy. I have also done this with eggplant and other sorts of squash. I had these last nite for dinner with some grilled carribean chicken.. yumyummmmm.

Not too much else up. Yes I got up and did my step aerobics this morning. Ohh, gotta go. Tuesdays at work, the company brings in fresh fruit, so I want to grab some before it all vanishes..

Hi girls! Had a good sleep today....off now for a couple days....Thurdsay I teach CPR to my peers all day and then work nights Thursday and Evenigns Saturday...so a pretty nice week.
Gonna walk tonight with my girls and maybe if dd10 doesn't have too much homework we will hit the pool.

Was out at the park with dd4 and her friend and my frrend and we were outside for 4 relaxing hours...good for the soul....but I got a sunburn...never thought it could happen!

Bye for now to the other two L's and all the rest of you!
