  • WELCOME MRS.M!!!!!

The more the merrier!!! I think ALL of us need to work on our willpower!!! Actually Leens is doing REALLY well. I am getting back on track after eating a candy bar earlier this week. I love chocolate too, but my downfall is usually fried foods.

Well, my day didn't get a lot better yesterday, but hopefully today will be GREAT. I have to exchange propane tanks, and then get a lot of work done.

Ellis-That is one of the games I have considered buying too. Can't find many games that are Mac compatible. AAARRRGGHH!!! Hope today is better for both of us!!!!!

Leens-I think men just basically like looking there. They look down my shirt if I am wearing anything low cut!!! Or used to before I got so old and fat!!!!!

    I'll check in later!!!
  • Good Morning Ladies
Lets see what can i tell you about myself. I'm in my late twenties, i have 60 more pounds to lose (it was 40 till the Dr. started messing with my medacine.). Hubby and I have been married for 7 years and we have a 2 1/2 year old little girl. I work in an office so i'm around most of the day.

Some of my favorite Chocolate WW OP treats are FF Chocolate pudding, chocolate gram crackers w/ FF cool whip & chocolate smoothies for breakfast (which i'm having right now ) I'm allergic to artificail sweetners so i have to be carefull what i get that is light.

In answer to ellis's question about if i suffer from depression Yes. I have for years but have only been taking medication for it the last 2 years. I also have PMDD and my hubby and i both think i have a hormone imbalance but we can't get my Dr's. to run the test for it so i am looking at changing Dr's again and will do so till i find one that will find the true root of my problem instead of just medicating me and telling me to live with it. I've had 3 dr's tell me to do that Ok time for me to come down off my soap box. I must say i do feel better now that i've vented.

i hope everyone is having a good day.
    MrsM
  • Hello darlings...

Leens, are you there? How's little Gracie?

Den... still cranky, how about you? I'm enjoying my new game, though. I think I may have a couple of games that are Mac compatible... I'll check and email you...

MrsM... seven years marriage... that's great. I think that means you're over the worst.
You can vent anytime... that's what we're here for. It sounds as though you've got a supportive husband. That's a big help when you're suffering from depression. And it's important (and incredibly difficult) to find a good doctor. I've been fortunate... I've had the same doctor for almost 25 years. He's an orthodox Jew with 11 children, and I just love him. When I was pregnant with my second child I was terribly depressed. Of course, I wasn't taking any medication then, and my doctor said to me, "You will be alright.", and sent me on my way. I swear he must have been praying for me, because I was fine for the rest of the pregnancy.
He moved last year and I have a new doctor, but I've lucked out again... this one is so good with my daughter and I depression-wise. Keep looking... there's a good doctor out there for you; too, MrsM!!

Den, I've just ruined my last good pair of underware. aaaaaaaaargh!!!

    talk to you soon...

  • Hi Girls,

Yes, I'm here, boss had been keeping me extra busy. I'm hoping to check back in later but if I don't have a wonderful weekend and I'll try to get back here on Monday.

Things are good, can't complain. Forgive me for not reading everything thru, I'll catch up later.

    HUGGS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Love, Leens

Hope you all are okay !!
  • HI ALL!!!!

Today I am in a good mood, which is a nice change from last night!!!! DS #2 has an orchestra concert tonight, and tomorrow we are going to my parents' house to celebrate my Dad's 70th birthday. Another busy weekend!!!!

Mrs. M-I think I'm the oldest one here. I am 43, have 2 sons (15 and 12) and have been maried for 20 1/2 years. My hubby now goes around describing himself as, "an old married fart" to which I'd LIKE to be able to say, "he robbed the cradle", except that he is younger than me!!!!!! (by 2 years) I understand what you mean about doctors. It is hard to find someone to really LISTEN sometimes!!!!

Leens-You just tell your boss that you'll get to the work when you are done chatting with your friends!!!!! I mean...GET YOUR PRIORITIES STRAIGHT!!!!!!

Ellis-Hope things are starting to feel better for you. I was in THE WORST mood last night, and woke up this morning feeling GREAT, don't know why, but I'm glad!!!!! Re the underwear........NOW WE REALLY ARE TWINS!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Hi Everyone,
I'm having a down day but trying to hold my head up and smile.

I've found a Dr. that specializes in womens heath problems, Just one problem, She's in Tuscon AZ and Fortworth TX. My Wonderful DH says that if we can't find a Dr. here locally to help me that he will Make the appointment and take me to see her. I think that is awfull drastic measures but once he gets something in his head there is no changing his mind.

Well I'm going to cut this short and get something done today. Everyone have a great weekend if i don't make it back later today.
    MrsM
  • hello hello hello

MrsM... I hope you're feeling better. You DO have a good and supportive husband! I'm so very glad for you. Do whatever you have to do to get well. Your daughter and your husband love you and need you.

Uh huh, Den, you're really old. Why do we all have such an age fixation? Like that old fart, Ruth (as she likes to call herself). She's 63, but she's REALLY 23.

Yeah, Leens... get your priorities straight. Quit your job!

Did you girls have a good mother's day? We spent half the day with my mother-in-law of all people. Ah, well. My DH made us eggs and bacon. I love having a big breakfast, especially when someone else makes it.

What is it about kids and husbands that they can't eat a snack and then get the refuse into the garbage bin? In the TV room this morning, I found two empty pop bottles, three chip bags, gum wrappers, a Smartie box, the sugar bowl (shudder), and an empty milk carton. crikey.

Don't get excited, but I'm seriously considering tracking my food tomorrow. But don't get excited. Gotta run. I'm desirous of a hamburger, and if I'm going to diet tomorrow, I'd better eat it before midnight.

Hope you're all doing well!! Toodle ooo

  • Good Morning,

How was everyone's Mom's day, my first one was great !! Nothing much doin here SOSDD. Did crapy on dieting this weekend, had cake and goodies yesterday but now that thats over with I can start anew (again !! )

Quit my job huh well that would be a dream come true but we couldn't survive. Hubby doens't have health insurance so I am the carrier of that. There's no way I could let my family go without, God forbid something happen. We have an HMO and last year when I had the baby I got a bill from the hospital...guess how much it was, I was in for 8 days and had a c section ????? $49,000.00 YUP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I almost crapped in my pants. Good thing I had the insurance, all I had to pay was $750.00. And one visit to the pediatritian is $80.00 and that doesn't include any shots she gets which are $80 - $100 each. Living here in the Metro area is very expensive. Now I'm not complaining, I'm very greatful to God I have a good job but quitting.......... Only if I win the lottery whooooooooooohooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Well kiddies, have a wonderful day,

    Huggs, Love, Leens
  • oh dear... I hope we didn't sound serious/critical, Leens darling. We are NEVER serious/critical. When I win the lottery, you and Den will naturally come in for a large share, and we will all sit around all day sipping rum and playing computer/video games.

$49 000! And I had two! My gosh, health care is a killer. OUR fine system is going down the toilet.

I'll write in later... just wanted to make sure that I had NOT offended! And I do; on occasion, envy you your job.

  • Hi Ladies,

    Me Offended ? NEVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm thick skinned (as well as thick everywhere else )

    Don't sweat it !!!

    TTYL, Love Me !
  • Leens-8 DAYS IN THE HOSPITAL? MY HMO KICKED ME OUT AFTER 3!!!! AND WITH #2 they sent me home with the staples still in!!!

    WHAT A SCAM!!!!

Ellis PLEASE, do you really expect me to sit around sipping rum if I win the lottery? WHO do you think I am? It will be DAQUIRIS brought on a silver platter by the cute pool boy!!! (Well, actually that still constitutes sitting around drinking rum!!!)

Hope you both had a good mother's day. Ellis, did you have to wake up your kids to get your breakfast?

Mrs. M-Hope that things are starting to turn around for you. I'm glad you found a good doctor. It is just too bad she is so far away. Remember though, YOUR HEALTH COMES FIRST!!! I'm glad your husband wants to take you.

HOPE ALL OF US HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY AND ALSO A WONDERFUL WEEK!!!
  • actually Den, I MEANT Daquiries, but I couldn't remember how to spell it... couldn't remember how to write it without putting in a "K". See... we ARE on the same wavelength.
And what do you mean, "have a wonderful week"? Where the heck are YOU going?

Uh huh... had to wake up my husband. His mother was coming at 10:30 for breakfast. I woke him up at 9:30, and he said, "Just let me sleep for 10 more minutes and then I'll go and bathe." aaaargh!! So I told him that I was getting back into bed, and that I wouldn't be going downstairs until breakfast was ON THE TABLE!! Regardless of whether his mother was there or not! I actually fell back to sleep until 11:30, which meant he had to entertain his chatty mom for an hour ON HIS OWN!!

Oh, MrsM... naturally we will split the lottery money 4 ways.

And listen, there's no way I'm sitting around a pool unless I get liposuction.

Den, they kicked you out after 3 days!?!? OUCH!! I was in for 7 days with my first, and I was so desparate to go home after my second that I BEGGED my doctor to let me go home after 5 days. I regretted it. I got home and could hardly walk. My DH had to bring our bed down to the living room because I couldn't climb the stairs.

Hey, surprise surprise... I'm tracking today, girlies. tra la la!

  • Hi Ladies
I just have a little bit to add on your discussion of hospital stays after having children. I had my daughter by c-section on mid morning friday and was home by noon on sunday. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I had great nurses but man there is nothing like being home in my own bed. I had help for the first 2 weeks but boy was i ever glad i was at home.
    MrsM
  • I wish I was home in 2 days after my c-section. It started off as they were trying to induce me.....3 days........nothing happened, so then they finally did the C which I was yelling at them to do in the first place, anyway its a long story. 4 days I stayed after having her and they finally let me go on the 8th day. I felt like a guinea pig, lets put it that way. But the cheesecake was good...haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
  • Hi all, hope you don't mind if I post something real quick.

If you are interested in hormone health or nutrition as medicine, check out the following webpages, they are quite interesting:

    www.herplace.com
Dr. Vliet's website, very interesting take on how the medical industry has ignored women's hormonal health issues

    www.dietcure.com
Julia Ross' website; she maintains that dieting causes problems and that amino acid imbalances can cause our bodies to go out of whack, also has nutritional suggestions to get out of the dieting slump

Hope you all have a super day!
