If you have stopped by I would like to start by saying THANK YOU. I am someone who has battled weight all my life. My desire is to get it off for good!
I need to stop making excuses. I want to feel good, and enjoy life, I do not want to sit on the sidelines anymore. I am not going to use another gimic or weight loss product. I need to eat less and move more and make better choices about what I put in my body. I live on a farm, and there are no gyms for me to go to, no trainers for me to get tips from, mother nature has to be my gym. I am hoping to make friends here who understand what I am going through, I want to be encouraged but also to be encouraging. I am hoping to find people who won't put up with excuses from me and hold me accountable but not in a mean way. I am hoping to find people who want to be in regular contact, so we can support each other. I dont have a walking buddy to let down if I dont walk with them, but I am hopeful that if I am in touch with people on here I will feel like I let them down if I dont walk. I have over 100 lbs to lose, but I have come to the point in my life where I realize I can not dwell over what I did to get here and beat myself up over it, I have to move forward to my new life. Thanks again for your time. Have a great day!
Honestly I never liked going to the gym. I bought a treadmill for $100 on craiglist and a bowflex for $250 on craigslist and I'm loving it. I have my own area set up that I work out in almost everyday.
Last weekend my husband and I purchased 2 new bikes at Walmart and plan to ride them each weekend so we can also get some exercise outside of the house (besides the walks we do each weekend).
Thanks beerab. I have seriously considered a bow flex they look like you can do alot with them. How do you know if you are doing stuff right on them. Bikes might be a great idea too, maybe my family would exercise with me!!

I'm new to these forums, but good luck! I've been losing weight and it has been a struggle for me because of a sharp change in my metabolism, but... you can do it, just start with small things that are easy for you to maintain. And don't feel that a gym is the only way to go... exercising makes you hungry so you eat more and just undo all of the calorie work you have done!
If you buy a new one it should come with the instruction manual- a used one might not but I'd say it might be hard if you have never weight trained before- I used to have a trainer so I knew what to do... You can download the manuals online as well.
I think family exercise is the most fun Gets everyone involved and healthy
