I hit the 10-lb mark today! WOOHOO! My size 16 dress slacks don't sit at my waist anymore, they're down on my hips. I have to say they look better that way - I feel kind of trendy. And I'm able to fit back into some of my size 14 pants, which I never got rid of (because I thought being size 16 would be temporary). Actually, I've only been size 16 for half a year, and it was kind of what made me get off my bum and stop eating all the time. Because I was so disappointed in myself. That and passing the 200-lb mark. That really shocked me and freaked me out enough to change my life.
Amarie - I teach at a coed math and science magnet school. Sometimes I wish I taught at a single-sex school. Anyone who tells you that boys and girls are the same has no idea what they're talking about. The girls need such different treatment and they behave so differently! They just have such different needs, it gets complicated trying to keep it all straight!
Sassy - Man, that's got to be rough, having to move around all the time. I love that I have my same classroom, and I feel sorry for the few teachers we have who have to move around from one room to another depending on which ones were in use which block.
Sarah - Welcome to the board! I'm fairly new here myself, actually, but I guess the time has been flying because I've been here for two months. I'm totally with you on the snow - we've broken the all-time snow record with a total of 187 inches this winter. That's almost 16 feet of snow, and most of it is still on the ground! It's hard because when you're driving there's just snow piled high on both sides of the road, and you can't see when anyone's coming unless you're on a straightaway. And I'm in the country, so the road is usually curving! And it's snowing again today. Gah. I want the sunshine so badly, it's making me depressed being here in the cold, wet, dark all the time. I'm from the southwest originally (Utah) so I need the sunlight to photosynthesize properly.

I've lost 11 pounds since joining 3FC. I thought it was 10 pounds, but I had to do the math on a calculator, lol. And my ticker confirmed it too. Anyways..I'm sooooooooooooo tired right now. I woke up too early this morning..and I've worked out twice today. If I didnt have to wait for UPS to stop by with my wedding band, then I'd totally be napping right now. I hate waiting!!!
Anyways..I'll be back later. I'm gonna watch The Cosby Show, lol.

Yea Leenie, I'm sore. One thing I forgot about TOM is that all aches and pains are exagerated, so I'm really feeling it! I actually crashed today for a nap when I should have been doing something else. Howz your dd doing?

Congrats Emmy and Shop and Sarah and Stampin on the great losses. Chervata, good to see you! Yes, when the weight effects your health, that can really get your attention. I didn't get my numbers checked, but I was afraid I was becoming pre-diabetic. I don't know about you, but I want to be able to eat some sweets in the future. I would rather moniter that myself than have some disease dictate my chocolate intake.
The eating today hasn't been good. When TOM is here I could eat a house and still be hungry. I didn't work out either due to the long nap and soreness. Oh well, there's always tomorrow..

They pretty much told me straight out that I'd be invited down for a full-day interview and asked to teach a sample lesson and everything, so we'll see! I have another school that I already did the full interview with and they should be getting back to me within a couple of weeks. Gah, the suspense!

Well, I'm going on another business trip this weekend. I will just keep keepin on, trying to eat well, and get my runs and walks in. I started counseling this week, I really think the time is right for me to make progress on some major issues. Anyway, lots to think about.

Hey all! I'm new to the site (have been lurking around for a few days) but decided to jump in.
I've dealt with depression for a long time now (my family's company moved us half-way around the world with a month's notice and I wasn't quite ready to move...) - my depression/anxiety/tourettes (and the meds associated with them) led to my weight gain - but I've been off all the meds now for almost a year and have seen a huge difference (even if I'm not losing weight at the rate I'd like to, at least I'm not gaining at the weight I used to).
I've lost 10-15 pounds since I joined WW this past summer (my weight tends to fluxuate a lot - but I'm working on trying to figure out why that is (the new theory is that I'm not meeting my daily points allotment - something I never thought I'd have a problem with!)
Guess what? I had to move -- AGAIN!! Just teasing.......... I am still upstairs where I originally was in the first place...... and I am not moving until they guarantee me that everything works down there. lol.
So I am leaving my tower and mouse upstairs, I hope it will be safe. There are people moving in our old room already so they better get to fixing my stuff soon or I'll be out on the roof working.
Well 2 more hours to go and then my "weekend" officially starts. Yey! and thanks to my dear sweet hubby I won't have to clean either!!!! We both cleaned while we were off and so there won't be anything to do, well except good ole laundry. lol. And I may "tackle" the *Horror Music* fridge. lol.
I also put in to use my floating holiday (7 hrs worth) either on April 9th or the 16th, whichever one my boss says is better. That way I can leave here at midnight and go to bed early and so we can hit the outlet malls on the Thursday after. DH has been wanting some GOOD kitchen knives and so I've been telling him over and over again to get some, but he wants to shop around to be sure he gets the best knife and the best price.....
We've been having issues with our cable box. I think DH is gonna end up strangling the cable people eventually. This is our 2nd box in 48 hrs and it still does not work!!! Its also a DVR so of course we have missed ALL of our shows too.
Anywho........its warm here, for now until Mother Nature changes her mind again. lol.
As far as eating goes.....I have been doing ok, when I am not in a hurry. Before work is the worst..........I need to get up earlier to prepare something better ahead of time. or maybe I can work on preparing stuff this weekend and freeze it............

Amarie -- I just want a permanent place already at work. lol. I hate using other people things......and I hate being in here all alone. It was nice at first but now its just kinda freaky. lol. Every noise I am looking. We sit right by the highway and from where I am sitting I can hear everything out there too. Annoying really. lol.
