I've lost 6lbs since the start of this thread..so, I think i'll be able to make the goal by halloween..hopefully I'll pass it=) I'm glad everyone is doing well. This site has really helped me to stay focused

That is great neesy! I was just looking at my losses since the start of Oct and it seems as if I am losing 2.5 a week. So with that I should be 218.5 by October 29th! We can do it gals!! So I will probably be 218 or 217.5 by Haloweeen! My original goal was 220!!! :D

Okay weighed in this morning at 164, only 4 more pounds to go this month. I know I can do it. I just need to get exercising. I was really tired this weekend and didn't do much, so I need to get going now. I brought my clothes to head to the gym right after work today. I am going to do the treadmill and lots of weights. I can tell that I am definetly building muscles, I hope this does not slow down my weightloss. Even if it does I know that it is for the better because muscle burns more calories than fat! I hope everyone has a great day!!!!

Hi ladies I weighed in today and I am up 2.5 pounds since Saturday, but I know that it is mostly water weight because of my poor diet this weekend. I also haven't got much in the way of workouts all week. Today I am going to get back on track with exercise. We are going to the mall to walk around. I am taking my pedometer and I hope to get in a mile and a half. Then when we get back I am going to run on my treadmill for 15 minutes and ride my exercise bike for 15 minutes then I will do pilates (even with DH watching).

Today is going to be another higher calorie day because we are taking my son out to eat for his first b-day. (Daddy wants to take him to HOOTERS, Mommy wants to take him to RED ROBIN) But wherever I go I am only going to eat a salad and maybe a chicken breast.

Its funny Saturday, I didn't go over my number of calories, but Sunday I was just Hungry. When I put it into fitday I found that my protein was very low for what my body is used to. I normally get 90-100 grams of protein and yesterday I barely got 75 grams. I ate mostly carbs. This week I am getting back on track and I am hoping to get as close to my Halloween goal as possible!

jcatron: I find that when I eat around 100g of protein a day as well I am not nearly as hungry compared when I eat carbs instead. It is just really hard for me to get in those 100g of protein. I really have to plan that into my meals. I try two get at least two servings of dairy and some almonds to increase my protein amount. I just don't like eating large amounts of meat. I can do chicken, some pork, but as far as beef not so big on that. I usually have to have it mixed in with something else, I don't like a steak at all. I have been trying to incorporate beans into my diet for protein, but they have so many carbs too. What do you do to get your 100g of protein a day? Have you tried smoothies with whey protein? I was going to maybe give this a try.

I weigh in tonight and Im wondering what the scale will say. I ate way to much yesterday and finally got my period. It was 3 weeks late. I ran 9 minutes out of the 30 on the treadmill today. Im so hoping for a good way in.

Dolly: I do use Whey protein, a chocolate Whey shake (made with milk) in the morning. I also eat either tuna fish or egg salad (with no mayo) almost everyday for lunch. For dinner I usually eat chicken/veggies. I am also going to start having a fruit smoothie with vanilla whey protien as my afternoon snack ( I tried it for breakfast but my body doesnt' like all the carbs in the morning.)

Okay so I am no tuna expert but I heard there is mercury in it and people need to limit themselves to no more than one can a week! I am not trying to tell ya what to do hun but just thought I'd warn ya!

Okay ladies well I got sick yesterday!! :( My kids were sick over the weekend so it was my turn! :(

I started feeling funny in the a.m. So instead of a fruit smoothis I just had a banana! At lunch I had half a can of tuna with 1 tsp of light mayo on two whole wheat pieces of sara lee bread. I also had a slimfast. Around 2:30 I lost it all. :(

At 3:00 I had a yogurt. I layed in bed most yesterday afternoon and evening I was so sick. My hubby was stuck working the late shift and didn't get home til yesterday at 7:40 :( But he is great and he took wonderful care of me. I jumped in the shower. He made the kids hot dogs and I asked for some french fries(baked) I only could eat about 9. I tried to have another yogurt but it tasted sooooo sweet!! I ate about half. That didn't last long either! I wound up losing that too! Thank goodness I was able to sleep last nite and am feeling much better today. I wound up at only 846 calories!!! But I am not sure those even count cause it didn't stay down long.

Anyhow on the upside, I am down another pound this a.m. 222!!!!

Poor Jasmine! I guess its time for the sickies I know a lot of people that are sick.

Don't worry I know all about the mercury in Tuna, My OB(with my son) was big on the NO TUNA!!! (she actually asked me every visit and gave me a handout the first visit, Boy I hated her) But thanks anyway, I do eat it a lot, it probably equals 2 cans a week. (I guess this last week I have had a lot of lean cusines.)

Today
BF: Protein shake and coffee
Lunch: Egg salad no mayo, 12 carrots,
Snack: fruit smoothie with whey protein
Dinner: 1/2 chicken breast 1 cup broccoli, 1 cup calliflower
Snack: Banana and walnuts

100 oz of water, 20 min treadmill, 20 minute stationary bike, 20 min pilates

Thanx ladies! Well i am actually having alot of fun doing this challenge with you guys! After this lets do one for thanx giving, and then after that we can start on a xmas challenge! I cant believe some people are doing those already! I think this one month at a time is helping me to stay even more focused than normal!!
