I did good today. I jogged 3.5 miles. It's weird cuz I feel guilty if I eat anything at all. I'm losing weight, but I feel as if I could lose more if I don't eat everyday. I know this is wrong, but I just want the weight off so fast. I'm going to work on a plan to eat healthy and not feel guilty and still be able to lose weight. Today, I had an apple, tomato soup, and a grilled low fat cheese sandwich and water. My calorie intake was about 420. I felt guilty consuming this even though it was so little. I need to get over this because my goal is to be healthy in the long run. I do this every year. I lose weight like crazy, then I get comfortable with the weight and start eating like I normally did. I don't want to fall in the same routine. Once I lose weight, I am going to make an appt with a dietition/nutritionist so that I can eat healthier and maintain the weight loss...

Aww thanks for the tips and the encouragement Jasmine and jcatron. I'm really trying to cut back. I'm off to find that fitday.com site. Sounds great. All the tips and menu ideas are great. I'm in the process of making a menu. I guess I need to make time to do some planning so I don't end up making pasta or something fattening. I can do this. I can do this. I can do this. :)
OH and as for you looking in the mirror w/o cothing... I can't bear that right now... Lol. Girl, you sound like you're doing great! Keep up the good work and on day at a time, right? |
Neesy_20 I understand the guilt of eating, believe me I do. Now I feel guilty for not eating enough. The point of a healthy lifestyle is to reprogram ourselves on how and what to eat. I doesn't matter what plan you follow, but we all gained weight the same way: eating too much of the bad stuff. (except for you new mommies who put on pg weight, sorry) It has been said probably 1000 times on this board, but if you don't eat enough your body will hold onto that fat for one reason SO YOU WILL SURVIVE!
You are eating so little, you are setting yourself up for a binge. Most people in my experience only last for 1 maybe 2 weeks on a diet like yours. You are setting yourself up to fail. You will lose weight with eating! Women should eat no less than 1200 calories (at the minimum) without medical supervision. Dr Phil's saying "eat to live, not live to eat" is something we all have to remember. |
Yesterday's workout was only 25 minutes. I am going to do extra today.
Saturday's planning: Protein shake and coffee apple chicken taco salad (leftover from last night...mmmm) Pinapple Tuna salad (no mayo) on whole wheat 12 carrots, small salad 2 oz Ice cream sundae with chocolate syrup (no whipped cream) I hope everyone has a great day! |
Glad it helped sugar baby!
Neesy, you MUST eat more than that! You can seriously hurt your body by doing that and set yourself up to gain it all back plus more! Your body will also start eating the muscle and NOT the fat! You can lose healthily by cutting your calories. If you cut them too much your body will hang onto it. Well I am doing much better today ladies. :D I am doing my chicken veggie rice for dinner and have had a slimfast, a bagel with ff cream cheese, a serving of total, my fruit smoothis and a yogurt! My total cals for the day will be 1550. fat is at 14% Protein is at 37 5 (does that sound bad/ lol ) carbs are at 49% We are also going to walk for 60 minutes tonite! Hooray! Ladies don't forget weigh in is tomorrow!! |
today
B - egg white omelet with tomatoes/cheese/baconbits S - body for life bar L - 1/2 pita/monterey cheese S - none D- coho/squash/asparagus/white wine S - apple crisp activity - sanded the bathroom floor for 2 hrs. PS - my cheese consumption is only 2oz total - I just have a smattering with ea meal. Livens up the flavor. - S |
Good morning!
I just went for my first weigh in - and I am down 3lb! :carrot: The gym session after that went really well!! Really pleased, it's keeping me motivated! The past couple of day weren't so good, Friday and Saturday going out with friends and such! Anyway, todays programme is melon for breakfast, snack of a caramel ricecake, lunch is a ham and salad sandwich with a yoghurt, and dinner is lean roast beef in gravy with potatoes and veg. A treat of a WW carrot cake too! Good luck to everyone today! |
Ladies
please forgive me for not being here. I have been having a rough time. I decided to stop my glass of wine a night habit. It was starting to make me overeat. Also, I felt bogged down. Also, I was beginning to indulge earlier than dinner time. I think I will have to just resign myself to the fact that I can't drink a glass of wine right now and succeed here. So, I am back. Last night instead of wine, I binged on chocolate. I need to get focussed again instead of using food for whatever I am using it for. Forgive me for being a lame-o plan for today...2 hours cardio (might be the stair master and then a good walk. I'll do this in 2 sessions to keep my metab high all day), and weights for my legs food... I will keep it low carb and balanced. I can't eat yet as I still feel full from my chocolate binge last night. Yuck. I hate when I am out of control this way. HIGHFIVES...... Sznn...well done with the cheese. I can't even have it in the house. too yummy. Jcatron and Jasmine...I completely agree with you about the needing to eat enough philosophy. starved for years and now have to relearn the "nondiet" mentality. Great advice!!! FIONA...Congrats on being down by 3!!!! talk to you soon. |
Weighed in this AM @ 144!
Not a spectacular loss- but the scale is going in the right direction:carrot: Big turkey dinner this eve - must remain focused -S |
