I am apart of the Thanksgiving challenge. I get my family pictures the week of thanksgiving and I want to look good. After thanksgiving, I am going for Valentines day.

Well the scale says Im down 2.6 pounds but Im still kind of upset because a couple days ago it was reading down 4. I dont know if its af or just eating too much. Its just hard to be happy about a 2.6 loss when I just saw down 4 I dont think Ill make my halloween goal but maybe Ill be close. Im all for a turkey day challenge.

sarah don't worry I don't think I will hit my halloween goal either, that is unless I can lose 7 or 8 pounds in two weeks.

Oye, internet connection down last few days so check in a bit late. Down another pound from last week; leaves me at 150 precisely. Aggravating, but oh well. Been a bit crap lately, major food issues arising though confident will conquer... eventually.

Don't give up ladies! Like I told myself with my hubby's vacation that I wanted to lose 10 pounds for, if I only hit 5 lost than that is 5 less than I was then! I did make the ten though. We only have a few more weeks so you all can lose some more by then! I know you can!

Ack! I am up two pounds but I just got over my TOM and our POWER is back ON! I finally slept in my own bed since Thursday night! We had a surprise snow storm Thursday night and lost power. It has been crazy. My daughter has no school this week because of the power lines being down and all the trees limbs in the street.
I did go jogging Monday morning but I have been snacking non-stop all weekend. Today I am back on schedule!

Well yesterday was a strange day. I stioll was a bit under the weather so I actually had to force myself to eat! Shocker eh? :lol: I was worried if I didn't get enough calories my body wouldn't let me lose either! Wound up having half a banana for breakfast, a cup of coffee and a slimfast for lunch, 31 little baked french fries, snack was total cereal(no milk), around 4:00 I had one slice of toasted wheat w/ a tsp of peanut butter, had 2 servings of lasagna for dinner, decided I still needed more cals and had an english muffin later plus 2 tsp of peanut butter. Still only wound up at 1497 calories! (I usually average 1880 a day, usually not going lower than 1600 on a low day) fat was at 32% so not bad.

Oh and I did get out for my walk! 60 minutes :D

Well I am down a pound! Yippee!! I am in th 160's!!! I am so excited!!!

Yesterday I worked out a lot. Today I hope to follow suit, I got in a total of 105 minutes yesterday. I am a bit sore today, but I know it will be worth it! I hear ya in wanting to get in enough calories Jasmine. I had trouble findng my way to 1200! But I finally made it to 1278. Today is my 1400 day, I hope I can find all the calories :)

Planning:
BF: Protien shake and coffee
L: Healthy choice meal
S: fruit smoothie with protein powder
D: 1/2 chicken breast, 1 cup broccoli, 12 baby carrots
S: 1000 calorie chips ahoy

workout: 20 minutes stationary bike, 20 minutes treadmill, 20 minutes pilates, 45 minute walk outside.

So today it tried some chocolate whey protein mixed into some milk. I put it in the blender and it had a thick consistency. It was pretty good and added 18g of protein, plus the 10g of protein from the milk. You do have to watch the calories though b/c one scoop has 100 calories. I might try to fit this in when I have my weight training days.

workout: 30 minutes on the elliptical, and 20 minutes weights.

Hi guys.

Not sure what my weigh in will be this week. TOM is here, and my blood suger has dropped so low - I am sure it is because I have cut out so much sugary food from my diet, that I am having a really bad monthly. I could feel my sugar dropping this morning at work so much that I was shaking! I had to get a sugar fix fast. I just cannot get full at all, my meals aren't filling me up.

I'm trying my hardest, but I just don't know what the result will be come the weekend...

Hope everyone else is doing good. Congrats for getting into the 160's Jeni! Hugs for you Rose, I am sure you will lose it again once TOM has got out of your system! Well done to everyone else who is losing those pounds!

Dolly, ya the protein shakes have the calories, but as long as you plan them into your daily calorie count it isn't that bad.
Fiona, are you diabetic?? I am pre-diabetic so I really watch my Carbs per meal and snacks. I had Gestational diabetes while I was pregnant with both my kids and I had to give my self about 6 shots of insulin per day. I want to avoid that completely that is why am on this mission. As for getting full with your meals are you eating enough protein and fiber? I noticed that when I don't eat as much protein I am starving all day. I also use fibersure on days when I don't get enough fiber.

No, I'm not diabetic, I don't normally have a problem, as I have always had plenty of sugary foods in my system when I have had my period before!

I'm eating porridge in the morning with fruit, then a brown bread sandwich for lunch. I think my body/hormones were just craving sugar! I hate TOM!

Thanks for the advice anyway, I'll look into the fibresure thing to see if we get an equivalent here in the UK.

jcatron that is great! Some days its like I cant find enough cals and have to add something here or there then other days its like I want to pig out! :lol: Today I am trying to prepare my menu and I want enchiladas and sp. rice for dinner! So I am looking in fitday and I have in there half of an orange and half of a grapefruit, plus an apple for breakfast. 1 slimfast, 1 tsp of light mayo and 1/3rd a can of tuna for lunch, 2 slices of toasted whole wheat bread, 1 serving of total for a snack around 3:00, half a cup of carrots for dinner with 2 servings of enchiladas with 1 cup of spanish rice(im going to try wheat rice!!) That all adds up to 1726. fat is 28%, protein is 22%, carbs are 50%

Not bad! But after 2 days of really low cals I am thinking 1727 sounds too high! :lol:

I did the math though. One 7 day period I averaged 1850 cals a day, the next week it was 1880 cals a day. This is all with walking 60 minutes a day for 6 out of the 7 days. My "maintenance" w/ 60 exercise is supposed to be 2885, w/out, 2285. Anyhow long story short is to subtract 7000 cals a week which is 2 pounds, I need to eat 1782 every day and exercise for 6 out of 7 days. Not bad. But I had been eating a bit more, like 100 more a day and still have been losing 2.5 pounds those two weeks. (I know calculators arent all that exact) Anyhow I am doing something right. :D But my new goal is to try to keep my average at 1782 each day. But now after having the two really low days, (897, 1496) 1782 just seems really high! :lol:

I wouldnt mind knocking my average down to 1600 a day if I thought it would help me lose more, faster, but i still have along way to go and I want my body to know there is plenty of food! Once I get to 190 or so, maybe then I will need to cut some but not yet.

So far my total for the week is 5905 total calories. divided by 4 days that is only 1476.25 cals for a daily average! Hmmnnn...I wonder. If I keep the cals to 1750 the next 3 days after this. That would be a weekly average of 1593 a day. I know "numbers wise" it doesnt add up to losing a pound more than my previous cal weeks cause it is only shaving off 1960 more, but I wonder if it will actually make a differnce? I think I will try it and see!!
