Ran a cross country 5K in the rain. I did ok until crossing the 2nd ditch and had to crawl up the other side. I still placed 2nd in my age group though! Now that I'm recovered I'll say it was fun. If you had asked when I crossed the finish line-not so much.
I'll try to come back and notice and comment later. I've got a list of errands to get done and then a party to attend. Have a great one. |

my son had his first football scrimmage today .. scary as a mom ..cause my kiddo is in 9th grade and is on varsity .. small school ..we only have varsity ..but i must say ... *puffs up chest* he did sack the quarterback ..grinz .. but last year my nephew had his acl torn ..and 2 years before that my other nephew had his hip knocked out of socket .. we thought he was paralyzed for a bit til they figured out it was just a dislocated leg but still .. ouch and scary .. so .. now it has begun ... time to suck it up ..watch the games... and try not to run on the field and tell those big boys not to pick on my baby!!! on the upside am still goin strong on my WW plan ... maybe i finally found something that fits me and my busy life .. anyways have a great weekend elves! |

ArtsyGirl: Congratulations on the 5K, thats one of my fitness goals.
......... I'm worried about my scheduled weigh in tomorrow, I went through a 3 day binge from my Grandfather being sick and from the TOM. I hope it wont effect the scale too much, but at least I know that I can get any extra off fairly painlessly. |
Woohoo! Another pound gone! But then Dh and I went out on a date tonight so it is probably back but I saw it - it WAS GONE!
|
My scale isn't budging. I've not been excellent the first week we started this but I didn't over do it. This week I've been great and TOM is gone. I'm not down any. I guess out of 60 people someone had to plateau. Why did it have to be me and right at the very beginning? I guess being that I'm only 23lbs to goal, it will be expected. I doubt I will make my challege, but I'm still coming in here. Someone posted their tagline is "I only fail if I give up!" Perfect! I wish I wasn't having a mini plateau (hoping it is only a mini..lol) at the beginning of school/work. There will be some pitfalls. The wonderful thing I've learned about myself lately is that even if I eat some of the foods at parties, I no longer eat more than one plate or keep going back for more. That's a positive thing. I'm making taco soup to take with me (minus the chips). It has 1lb hamburger meat, 2 cans of salt free diced tomatoes, 2 cans of blackbeans, bell peppers and onions, and 2 cans of corn. Sometimes I put a few chips at the bottom of my bowl (lay's light tortilla chips). Sometimes I add ff sour cream (not tons). Sometimes I add a controlled amt of 2% shredded cheese. Not today though. It's too expensive for a party (I'm broke) and I don't need the extra calories if I eat something else.

mmm that taco soup sounds good.

OK, I've had a chance to look at the list and I'm in for the challenge.
I noticed that out of the people who have a number in their screen name, over half of them have used an odd number. A bit about me: 33, married, no kids, 2 dogs, piano teacher and starving artist. |
3 more pounds down!!!!! :carrot:

Good morning ladies,
The second week of the challenge had passed, and all in all I'm 10 lbs down after these two weeks. I started South Beach two weeks ago, so I'm on track so far. Yesterday I cheated, I ate some fudge...:o But I'm still at 247 this morning, which is good. From now on I'm supposed to continue to lose ~2 lbs a week. If I do that, I'm on track for the challenge. You've been great, I read your posts every day and you are a great support and motivators... Ivy P.S. Couple a things about me, I'm 35, married, no kids, going to school for my bachelor degree, double major in human development and psychology. I will graduate in december.... :carrot: |
