Hey guys! I'm on my phone again so I'll make this a brief one (sorry for not writing personals, as soon as I log in on my laptop I'll be better!) but a couple of things to report. One, I'm still feeling the lingering effects of my cold that I picked up. Unfortunately I've not had a day to just rest since then. Two, we ended up getting our kitten! We wanted way more time to prepare but long story short he's with us now. We named him Haku and he's settling in nicely. Our other cat, Vivi, is hissing at the door a lot so it might take some time before we let them see each other.
Because we got Haku last night we ended up getting takeout. We go to a local curry place, one chef does a great job and it seems another makes his/her food SO greasy! I ended up with a bit of a stomach issue early this morning, but my weight is down as a result! I'm 191.6 lbs.
Yay...I'm so glad to see below 200 again. I stayed on plan the majority of the day yesterday. I did end up eating some ice cream yesterday afternoon, but I skipped dinner because of it, and thankfully, I was down this morning. I'm going to have to make me some keto-friendly ice cream so that I can eat that instead of the sugared-up stuff. Back to work today...meet the teacher night!
Plan for today:
B: BPC
L: grilled chicken & veggies
D: crack slaw or leftover meatloaf & squash
I seem to be down 0.5 lb the last few days to 113.2 ish, which i'm not sure why, but i'll take it! Super happy here.
But that's about to be thrown in the air with ski trip starting in 4 days
Nice work Vicky and Sgregg and Jeny - love it when people are making progress. Excellent stuff. Keep it up.
I had a bit of a new niggle in my knee when I was doing weighted lunges yesterday, that i'd felt the day before when I was running. After a bit of googling I think it might be 'Jumpers Knee'. So unfortunately I have decided to be sensible for the next three days before my ski hol, and have switched out my MetCon and Spin classes for Yoga and Core. Went to yoga this morning, and whilst it was nice to have a stretch (I suppose) it was sort of a bit dull and I miss the endorphin high of a cardio session. Sigh.
Ange, knee problems are the reason I'm scared to do jumping exercises. One of my knees makes a grinding sound when I go up and down steps. I have noticed less pain in my joints since I have lost 30 lbs though!
I'm up a little because I ate later than usual last night. Our power company had a scheduled outage (which I didn't know about) from 6pm-9pm, and since all my appliances are ran by electricity we could not cook anything. We decided to go out to eat. I had the worst headache last night. It finally went away after lying down for an hour or so. I don't usually get headaches like that, so I was puzzled as to why it came on like it did. I know it wasn't caffeine or sugar withdrawals because I had had a little of both yesterday. I thought maybe it was an electrolyte imbalance, so I took a little bit of pink salt and drank some pickle juice...didn't help at all. Anyway, I'm just glad it's gone this morning. It was one of those headaches that makes you feel like you're going to throw up...I wouldn't call it a migraine, but it was not just a dull ache either.
Plan for today:
B: BPC
L: leftover meatloaf & squash
D: crack slaw
Finished the week lower than what I started, so that's a good thing. I'm still not down to where I was a few weeks ago. Hopefully, I'll see that within the next 7 days. My birthday is the 12th of this month. I'm already trying to mentally prepare for that. I know I have some friends at work that are going to buy me some sweets. Do you guys allow yourself a cheat on your birthday? I was thinking of allowing myself one, but getting right back on track for the next meal.
School officially starts for students today! My kids are ready to see their friends. My days will be busy, busy, busy after today. I'm hoping this helps with keeping my weight on a downward trend.
Hope everyone has a great, on plan day!
My plan for today:
B: eggs, spinach, & bacon
L: turkey and cream cheese rollups, green olives
D: not sure yet
sgregg - Thank you for the Welcome! I hear you on back to school, busy busy. So many things all start from school and activities and homework and making lunches! AGH!
Really want to get down this week. Been feeling so slow, considering how restricted I have been. Planning for burger in a bowl for dinner and lots of water and veg!
sgregg and VickiLou- Great job this week! Hard work pays off!

But today has been an on track day and I can only control today. Fingers crossed for a better WI next week.
Etherbunny, I'm rooting for you to have a better week next week! I cannot believe this is your first gain since March! That is so awesome! Ange, I hope you have an awesome trip!

I am so exhausted. This was the 2nd day for students. They are learning quickly the new routines and procedures. I'm getting hungry after school lets out around 3-3:30...which is expected since I'm eating about 11:30. Today, I had a few slices of pepperoni to hold me over until dinner. I'm going to have to get some more fats in my lunch to hold me over until dinner, I think. I really need to go grocery shopping...we are running low on essentials.
Meal plan for tomorrow:
B: BPC or eggs with spinach and cheese
L: turkey and cream cheese rollups; green olives OR 1/4 of avocado
D: beef taco with shell made with cheese, sour cream, tomato, avocado
I've been having some health issues since the start of August. I'll wake up in the middle of the night/early morning shaking, feeling shivery and my stomach feeling upset. [TMI alert] I'll go to the bathroom, have a soft/loose stool, then go back to bed and have a hard time falling to sleep. I'll continue to feel a bit feverish for a while, but then eventually it calms down enough so that I can sleep. This morning I couldn't quite get back to sleep and I have just been exhausted all week from pushing myself to go to work. In the end I decided to take today off and focus on resting. I'm going to see the doctor about this soon, because it's getting to the point where my quality of life is being affected. I feel so drained all the time, my bowel movements are all messed up and I'm sick of feeling this way! I also feel really guilty for missing work, I've had to leave early most days this week because I feel so drained.
I've not been weighing in consistently, mainly because of our new kitten: Haku. He's currently in the bathroom, which is where our scale usually is, but I had to put it away to make room for his bed/litter box. I just haven't gotten around to moving it somewhere else. The last time I weighed I was 191.4 lbs, which is nice and close to 189 lbs, so I'll take it!
sgregg - I find trail mix is a great snack and has fats in to tide over hunger until you can sit and have a meal!
Hello everyone! I just introduced myself to the forum today. Hope it's okay to post here. I'm looking to connect with some chicas going through the same sort of weight issues as I am.
Riestrella, thanks for the snack idea. I do munch on almonds or pecans sometimes. I have to be careful since I'm counting carbs... I think taking a day of rest was a good idea. I hope you can get yourself back to "normal" soon! I would definitely go see the doctor if you don't see some improvement soon.
Jolie, welcome! It is definitely okay to post here.

So, I took some magnesium tablets Thursday night to try to get some movement going in the bathroom area, and it definitely worked, as you can see from my weight on Friday and this morning. I am super happy about that! Now, I just need to stay focused this weekend. It has been easy not to snack while at work because I've been so busy. My birthday is Monday, and I'm expecting some treats from my co-workers. I hate having to think about that kind of stuff, but in order to lose weight, you just have to. I didn't stay completely on plan yesterday either. Breakfast was good, lunch was good...dinner...not so much, but I did not overindulge and I didn't do bad all day long either.
Meal plan for today:
Breakfast: eggs with spinach and feta; bacon
Lunch: tacos
Dinner: ??
