  • Lacerta, great job on reaching the 90lb mark! That is so exciting and something you should definitely be so proud of!!! I need to find a 40lbs lost avatar.

Etherbunny, maintaining is still something to be proud of. Hopefully next month you will see more of what you want.

Vickie, congrats on your 7lbs loss! Great job!

I finished the month 8lbs lower than the beginning. I'm super excited about it. I could have reached the 10lb goal I set for myself if I would have stayed on plan every day, but I'll take 8lbs any day! Also, I hit 40lbs down since January earlier this week. So, I can say it's been a successful month. Now, on to September and hopefully see the 180s which will be a first for me. I have never been there in my adult life.
Here's to September! Can't wait to see what the month holds for us.
  • First weigh in August 1 189.8 (new decade!)
    Second weigh in August 8 190.2 (+0.4)
Third weigh in August 15 189.6
Out of country August 16-30 [just back from looooooong trip, still holding on to some excess water, my ankles are puffy ] 188.4
Fourth weigh in August 31 187.2 (total -2.6 for the month)

    Onward and downward!

Good job everyone. Sgregg, thank you for the inspiring words!
  • sgregg: That's all amazing. Very good month. 8 pounds is among the best I've done ever. Even back at the beginning, I never broke 10 pounds for any month, so 8 is very good. Way to go.

etherbunny: I do terrible when I travel for more than a day. I can take food with me for a day trip, but for long trips, I always gain weight. If you maintained, you did well in my book.

    Bonus Days
    29: 178.0
    30: 177.4
    31: 176.6
    ----------------------------
Total Loss for Bonus Days: -2.6
Total loss for Entire Month: -3.8

So almost everything I lost was in the last few days, but I still ended the month almost 4 pounds down, and didn't even miss my goal by much. So it was a pretty successful month because of this week. Looking forward to an awesome September. I'm on a roll and have high hopes for the month. Measurement-wise, I didn't change much, except I did lose 1/2 inch off my belly, which is my biggest problem area. For the first time, my measurement around my largest point on my belly is down to the same size as my measurement at the largest point on my rear end. Maybe next month, it will actually be smaller, the way it is supposed to be.

Welp, that was a weird month! Huge life change getting a second cat made it hard for me to stay focused on weighing, but I did manage to get a good amount of weights logged. A bout of stomach issues gave me a nice drop but that didn't last long. However, I'm ending the month losing 3.2 lbs which I'm happy with! I like to think I can lose 1 lb a week, so just being shy of that goal despite all the stress makes me happy. I'm still a bit all over the place with sticking to eating salads for lunch, having managed to do it for 1 week in August, but I know I can do it moving forward. It's gonna take a while and change won't happen over night, I need to keep reminding myself of that.

sgregg - Glad to hear you're feeling full on keto! It definitely helps having that feeling of not being hungry. Hydration helps in feeling full too, perhaps your family needed some water! Congrats on the amazing progress you made this month! It's nice seeing someone similar to my weight so I can have a very friendly competition with them! See you in September

Lacerta - So great to see you continue to make progress no matter what, you're an inspiration! Huge huge well done on getting in the 170's, I'm rooting for you!

jodie - It is amazing how keeping accountable can affect your day to day decisions. I'm so proud that you're making smarter choices, but also knowing that you're not always going to be perfect. You got this!
