My November goals are 7000 steps/day and 60 minutes cardio/week.
1: 1383 steps. I was ill and in bed today so not a great start! 2: 4758 steps. I've hurt the top of my left foot. It's happened before but I don't know why. I've been hobbling around on it but I'm not sure how to treat it. 3: 2418 steps. My foot is worse today. I'm RICEing it and taking anti-inflammatories. 4: 1854 steps. I can hardly stand on my foot so very few steps. 5: 1675 steps. I'm amazed it's over 1000 to be honest. 6: 3599 steps. Bizarrely, my steps were a little higher because I had to go to the hospital to have my foot x-rayed and walk to and from the department 7: 2779 steps 8: 4014 steps My dad had to go to the hospital so there was a lot of walking. 9: 3998 steps (and somehow 7 active minutes!) |

My foot still hurts but it's a lot better today. I'm back at university tomorrow so there'll be more steps and active minutes. |

Newlyn: keeping the habit is so important. My minutes are no where near my goal this month for a variety of reasons. If I do a little something every day, the habit remains and I'll get my minutes back up more easily and quickly.

Tracking through the good and bad has been my main aim while my foot has been injured. I've fallen off the wagon so many times when I've been discouraged by something out of my control. In spring 2017 I injured my Achilles after losing 18 pounds and I had to stop walking for a while. I ended up putting on 25 pounds and it's taken this long to motivate myself to lose it again. I'm determined to plough through the ups and downs this time. |
