In November, I'm thankful for healthy and tasty foods, the many benefits of exercise, and our lovely little community here!
Join the November Weight Loss Challenge to set your goal, track it, and meet it -- with the help of a supportive and encouraging group. All the goals will be compiled into a list. As each goal is met during the month, it gets turned RED in celebration.
Thanks for the new thread, gardenerjoy. This time of year especially, I know we can all use the reinforcement and encouragement from one another.
I have a couple of great milestones I'm shooting for this month.
213.8 will put me at 20% of my starting weight lost **Met 11/13/18**
210.0 will be the "weight when I first thought I was fat". That is what I weighed when I joined 3fatchicks and Fitday and started tracking my weight for the first time, back in 2005. **Met 11/29/18**
207.4 is halfway for what I'd like to lose overall
SW: 215.4
November GW: 209
Stretch goal: 207.4 (puts me at 60 pounds lost). This is a real stretch at 8 pounds, and I very possibly won't make it, but if I'm going to have any chance of making my end of year goal, this is the number I really need to hit this month.

gardenerjoy - Thank you for always being here for us!!!
Okay, I'm back in the saddle yet again! I have totally let the month of October slide by with little to no change. I'm taking control of myself even though the holidays are looming.
Newlyn: I don't know whether to congratulate you on hanging on to your loss, or sympathize with you for being sick. Both, I guess. Then I'm happy and sad for you.

So I've started out going the wrong direction. I actually didn't do terrible yesterday. I did have a couple pieces of candy, but only 2 Starburst and one tiny 3 Musketeers. Not the end of the world. I actually think today's gain was more digestion related than fat gain, anyway. Hope you all survived "Candy-eve". Now either throw out the leftovers or take them to work and put them on the counter where everyone else will eat them.
1: 269.5 New decade! I'm ill today though so I don't know what'll happen tomorrow.
2: 268.5 Sooo, this is good but is it because I was ill and ate very little or because I'm following the same pattern as last month?
Lacerta Thanks, I'm fine now. I don't know what it was, probably dodgy food, but it only lasted a day.
Today I'm going to a Christmas food fair. There's not really anything Christmassy about it - it's just the regular food and craft people I see at all the other food fairs! I've got to know lots of them over the years so I have to visit the chocolate lady, the cheesecake lady, the cookie man, the cheese people, the sausage people, and the (super-hot) New Zealand pie man. I'll try and just socialise rather than eating samples and concentrate on the ceramics, Northumberland wool blankets, paintings and jewellery.
Start weight: 187.3
Goal weight: 180.[/QUOTE]
11/1 - 187.3
11/2 - 189.0 I am sure that is the effects of the wine on Halloween night. Lots of water in store for today! Also, back to Turbo Jam now that the weather is too icky for walks.
We have a 25th wedding anniversary party tonight, Chicken and Beer Dance tomorrow night, and family birthday party on Sunday. YIKES! Alcohol free...say prayers for me! I plan to workout all three days to keep me in check.
Hope everyone has a great Friday and weekend.
boatingmommy: You can do it. You already know you can, because you went a whole month before and did AWESOME. Good luck.
Newlyn: that it is a whoosh pattern and will continue, but that is a lot of temptation you are up against today
flower1: That is awesome, and will move you past where you had your goal set on the sidebar. Any thoughts about what your ultimate goal is now?

Yay, moving in the right direction again, and a new low. I'll take it. I was hoping to get down close to 214 by this Sunday, so now I just need to hang onto it for the next 2 days.

Quiet thread right now. Stick with it people, it may be November, [aka: The food holiday month], but that doesn't mean the whole month is a write off. We can do it.
I wasn't really surprised to see this gain today. I had a TON of sodium yesterday, so I'm hoping this is all water weight and I'll be back in the 214s tomorrow. I woke up feeling both bloated and dehydrated, so I'm making sure to get lots of water today to try to flush my system.
Lacerta: I second everything -- we can eat healthy foods in healthy portions in November (at least all but, maybe, one meal). And, I have a sodium gain to deal with, today. I'll follow your plan and drink lots of water.

3: 269 I think this is probably sodium too because I had sausages. I was very good at the fair: tiny tastes of chocolate, cake, and olives.
