I promised myself when the calendar turned to May, that I would have a new and brighter attitude. I don’t, but that is my aim. So, I need to try harder!

Sounds quite moderate when I write it down next to my CW, but mentally it seems for ever away!!

Good idea to check this thread Panda - i'd also forgotten my targets and had to dig back to find them. Looks like i'm ahead of schedule and i'm almost at GW. The trick will be to keep on going even when I get there, and make sure I don't slack off and gain by 21st June.

Hope everybody is having a nice week.

I am actually a little bit sick because of the temperature changes where I live, I'm a bit concerned about how much weight I will be able to lose next week.

But for now, this past week I lost 3 LBS!! I'm impressed of myself. I'm out of the 190's finally, it's been years!!

I am half way to my goal weight, I already lost 12.4 lbs for this challenge. I' m so happy.
Good luck to every one too!!

Beeps. Hang in there. You will move past this plateau at some point. Hopefully all your hard work will result in a sudden larger loss.

ange82much. You are SO close! Awesome job!

I.wanna.be.cute Congratulations on leaving the 190s! 3 pound in 1 week! You are rocking this diet.

Today is my weigh in and I have lost 10 pounds since I started this challenge and have left the 210s behind finally.

ange82 - I love hearing that you are right on track for GW. That is HIGHLY MOTIVATING for me!

CoNgRaTs I.wanna.be.cute!! That is GREAT NEWS! Keep up those great losses!!

GigiMom - that is SO great! Big CoNgRaTuLaTiOnS!!

I ate too many carbs yesterday, which turned into carb-cravings by last night, and it will get worse today. Sigh. So, back-on-track and upping all of my protein for sure. No workout today (Wednesday is my "rest" day) and I have to be REALLY vigilant to push down that scale this week - or even better, to drop some inches!!

ange82much 05-02-2018 06:02 PM

Hi Beeps - that's cool to hear that my results are motivating! I'm pretty happy with where I am right now shape-wise, but because I've set targets i'm keen to get past those targets before I change a thing with my diet. Call it stubbornness! And then i think I hope to carry on for a couple of kg below target - ideally at a slower rate - to give me some future wiggle-room. Exciting!

ange We are very close to the same height... can you describe the differences you see in your body from when you started at 159 to now? (I apologize if I have already bugged you about this)!!!

Hello ladies!! I haven't posted in here in forever. A combination of struggling with my food choices and being swamped at work. I also can't access the shared drive from my work computer, and often forget to do it when I get home.

I am hoping to get back down to 161.8 by late next week.

I had two bad days this week. Bad eating. Too many calories. Bad feelings. Too sad about stuff beyond my control. I did exercise both of those days, so I accept that is the best I could do.

I do really need to get my act together....if another week passes, without losses, I know I will be in a bad mental headspace. I weigh tomorrow, so doubtful anything good will come of that. I will also do measuring tape this week.

Sigh.

The waxing and waning of energy to "lose this fluff" is terribly demoralizing.

Hi kfunk. I feel like I've had massive changes in that range. From 159 to 146lb that was really the zone where I was higher than i'd ever been before and I felt really self conscious and uncomfortable. My middle started to go first which was great because that was the biggest disaster area, and from there on it was a gradual loss off everywhere. I kind of got away with a similar clothing size from 150-141 (size 12/14 here) but once I get to about 132 i'm a 10. Now i'm a comfortable 10 at 125 lb. When I get below my target i'll be an 8/10 (Aussie sizes are different to US sizes I think, probably a 10 here is a 6 with you??). I'm probably 'ok' with being anything under 132, but a few lbs lower than that is the real 'feel good' zone.
Will do more pictures in the Goal section when I get to my target proper, but here's one from January and one from today.
Basically I feel completely different. I can wear anything. I'm not trying to cover up my waist. I'm not trying to cover up my arms. I'm happy to bump in to anyone I know. All that normal stuff. Highly recommended!!!

Hello!

I walked for 90 minutes in the morning, yesterday. And then another 75 minutes at night. All outdoors....that felt GREAT! I kept my eating to a minimum...it was almost a "fasting day". I did NOT weigh. I will wait until Saturday next and hopefully will be back in the saddle with calorie-control and carb-reduction by then.

Today I play badminton with my son. That's always a fun way to spend an hour.

It is a sunny day - I do have some work to do, but also I hope I can get out and enjoy!

kfunk6113 05-06-2018 12:44 PM

ange WOW, you look amazing!!! You are so sweet to share pictures, I always love seeing before and after pictures!! You have done so well and I can't believe the transformation in just a few months!! :carrot::carrot::carrot:

ange82much 05-06-2018 05:56 PM

I can't believe it either! I'm surprised every time I see myself!

amandie 05-06-2018 07:13 PM

You look awesome, ange82much!

I'm still chugging along, down to 154 now! 14.4lbs to go before I hit 139.6 or under for my healthywager bet near the end of July. I got this!!!! I bought a sweet recumbent bike for $13.50. I have more free time now that I'm not babysitting anymore so more exercise is in my future.

Have a good Sunday and keep chugging along, y'all!

Beeps2011 05-07-2018 12:28 PM

I love those photos, too!

Annnnnnnnnnddddddddddddd, they have inspired me to return to hard-core Dukan to finish off May and June. Pure Protein days alternating with Protein and Veggie days.

Buh-bye carbs, starchy carbs, sugars....the stuff that tastes SO good to my tummy, in the moment, but actually WRECKS me (disturbs my sleep, makes me crave more bad stuff, etc.) in the long run.

ange82much 05-07-2018 05:44 PM

yay Beeps - get this thing DONE and enjoy the result!! I think sticking to a pretty strict discipline is quite rewarding really, once you're in to it, rather than taking twice as long and faffing about. The difficult bit is getting started! Keep us updated.
