I want in. I was just telling kfunk that I need a good challenge to work on the things I can control. I'll think on the numbers and be back later to post those. It took me two weeks to get back to my 2018 low after a water gain so I'm trying not to focus on the scale as much right now.

Look forward to getting more healthy with y'all!!!

Default Goals

Okay. I’ve thought about it and I’m going to shoot for 17.6 lbs. Conservative for most, but a big reach for me these days. I haven’t weighed sub 200 since high school and have stayed mostly around 240ish for the last 20 years. Although I’ve given up on “normal losses vs calorie deficits”, getting rid of the wretched 2XX is a big milestone that I really want to achieve and maintain. Anything better than that will be a super bonus.

My goals for this challenge
*10K steps minimum daily
*Strength train 3 times a week
*Avoid alcohol, sugar, and “bad carbs” most days – I allow AT LEAST one day a month for special occasions and/or mental health break
*Try to burn 7000 more calories that I eat each week
*Quit complaining about the scale – or quit weighing if I can’t!!! This is going to be a tough one.

SW ~ 202.6
GW ~ 185
03/28 200.2 (-2.4)
04/04 198.6 (-4.0)
04/11 197.8 (-4.8)

Thanks Debbie! Best of luck to everyone this quarter!!!

I will usually post my "updates" on Saturday (which is the day I do step-on-the-scale) or Sundays (which is the day I try to take shoulder/natural waist/hip measurements).

Hi, I am new to the forum and I am thinking this may be as good a place to start as any. I haven't stepped on the scale in over a year. Last year I lost 40 pounds on KETO Diet but stopped then in April and it's been up, up, up ever since. Now I am back to joints hurting, being out of breath, and feeling like crap all over, especially about myself. Step one will be to be to step on the scale and then I will take it from there. I know I can't do total lifestyle changes so I will be shooting for a conservative number. Thanks for letting me join in. I look forward to offering support and accountability.

Ok, 21st June in theory is about when I hit my target, so i'll aim for a double whammy Spring-Summer Challenge Target and End-of-Diet Target of 123lb.
Sounds quite moderate when I write it down next to my CW, but mentally it seems for ever away!!

Welcome everyone!

My goal is more conservative than usual but 150 sounded like a good next milestone.

Forgot to post in this thread yesterday, so making sure to join in today!

I fell a little short of my 25 lb goal last challenge, so I'm going to pare it back to 20 lbs this time and see if I can make that work this time. Well, actually, it will have to be 20.8 lbs, because that will - for one - put me at a whole number, and - more importantly - that will put me back at the lowest post-pubescent weight that I have ever been! My lowest adult weight before coming back this time was 219, but I had gotten down to 167 when I was about 16 years old after losing a bit of weight, then getting really sick over the summer and dropping 15 lbs in a little over a week. It was crazy and only due to an illness, so it didn't last very long. But, I always wanted to get back to that number and then below it in a healthy way, so - needless to say - I'm super excited for this particular challenge!

CW: 187.8
GW: 167.0

Good luck, everyone!
