Would anyone be interested in a challenge spreadsheet? I'm digging around in my Google drive to see if I still have the old ones from a few years ago. Let me know and I'll set it up then post the link for y'all to enter your info. :)

Hello everyone, I wanted to join you since February, but I've been waiting for a new challenge to start to join in.
Last year I did a challenge and it went very well, but something bad happened, it gave me depression and I started to gain weight again. This time I want to do well, my mother marries again in summer and I want to be thinner for her wedding. I am very motivated, I have lost 30 pounds since December and I am about to enter onderland. SW: 200 CW: 200 GW: 178 I have not weighed less than 190 pounds for many years. I'm excited to reach my goal weight. |
Thanks amandie! I just added my info. I love a good flow sheet :)
Welcome I.wanna.be.cute! Good to see you ophelia! Thanks for the kind words amandie & sea :sunny: I never thought when I started this that I could ever be an inspiration to anyone. kfunk inspires me too! Have a great weekend everyone! |
Omg.
I stepped on the scale this morning. I'm the heaviest I have everrrrr weighed in my life. Wow. No wonder my joints hurt, walking around the block leaves me out of breath. I gained sixty pounds since stopping Keto last spring!!!! Omg. This yo-yo has to stop. I need to be smart about this. I hope I can still join this challenge even though I weigh considerably more than all of you. I'm at 287!!!!! Almost 300!!! Omg. I will be back to post my plan and then weigh in every week. Omg. I needed this wake up call. |

kay Oh man, arthritis in your back and possibly in your shoulders sounds so incredibly painful  It is really admirable that you find alternative exercises to do!! I need to lift weights very soon, I want to be strong!! Congratulations on your awesome week, you really rocked it!!! It is very hard not to let the scale get you down, don't worry about complaining, we are all hear to support you through the scale stubbornness! With that said, congrats on your new numbers!!
sea, amandie and kay You are so sweet! This is such a long journey and its so helpful to have like minded people to help you through the ups and downs. I wish that I had joined this forum years ago when it was hopping, but I always get excited when new people come here even if it has slowed down a bit. We've got this :grouphug: amandie Thank you for the spreadsheet!! Ohhhh, tell me more about your healthy wager, I am curious!! I have a $30 bet going on dietbet right now that ends in about 2.5 weeks. i.want.to.be.cute Congratulations on your 30 lb. loss!!! That is exciting that you are about to enter onederland and that you have a goal coming up to look forward to! I hope that you are feeling better. boop Quote:
ange I believe that your weekend is winding down now since you are so far ahead of us in the US, how did it go, did you have a ton of fun?? windsister  I wouldn't worry about the number on the scale, the important part is that you are here now and you are going to get a plan in place! Back in August 2015 I weighed 185 and then made some extremely poor decisions that led to a deep depression. I felt so much guilt about what I had done that I ended up gaining a lot of weight to help myself cope. I started my journey at 256 lbs. the day after Thanksgiving in 2016 and I can't tell you how much better I feel. You didn't ask for advice, but if I could do things over again I would have taken before photos and then stashed them away. I can barely find any photos from when I started because I was so good at dodging the cameras. I have gone back and read thousands of old posts on this forum, almost every single day, it really has helped. You can do this!!! I hope that everyone is off to a great start this weekend!! |
A modest drop to 163.

kfunk: It will be a whole new experience this summer, for sure...lol. I'm hoping that starting the lifting will help with some of this looser skin, because I can already tell that's going to be an issue. But, I'd definitely rather have some loose skin than to be back where I was! And, hoping you will feel confident in your shorts! I bet you will be rocking them this summer.
P.S. Just got down to today's post...I'm honored, and the feeling is likewise! amandie: Thank you for making the spreadsheet!! :carrot: Having something to come back to and fill in always keeps me more on top of my check-ins! Another sucker for recordable data, I guess...lol. And, I agree with ange82much, it also seems to make it more motivating. I.wanna.be.cute: I'm glad you joined in this time around! Boop: I wouldn't miss it! :) KayG: You killed it this week, great job! :cheer3: WindSister: I weighed 297 when I came back to 3FC this time around, so don't worry -- you will fit right in! It doesn't matter how much you weigh now, we're glad to have you here with us to help you get back on track. :) I can't tell you how many times I have lost some weight - usually around 50ish lbs - then got complacent, fell off track for months (sometimes even years) on end, and gained every single pound back and then some. And, I'm going to echo kfunk's words and say to definitely get lots of before pictures (I didn't and was also a notorious camera dodger, and I regret it!)...you're going to want them for comparison when you kick the scale's butt and hit all your milestones on the way down to your main goal. You've got this! Slimmer Me: Hi, glad to see you here! |
kayg, I am right there with you. I do "The New Rules of Lifting for Women" in hopes that I can maintain/build some muscle and be in better health than my mother. I am 46 and concerned about loose skin after weight loss but will cross that bridge when the time comes.

slimmerme Welcome to this challenge!! We are pretty close in weight right now and also are the same height!
ophelia I completely agree that I would rather have some loose skin then be back where I was! At least with loose skin you can hide in with clothing! I have always been a pear shape and never have had great legs. That is what I want more than anything!! I have really fat knees and a lot of cellulite all over, but I am hoping that will continue to get better as I go along. I think the absolute biggest difference this summer is that I am going to welcome the heat and humidity because I am freezing all the time! I used to hate it because I would get sweaty and gross, but even last summer I noticed a drastic difference with that. Thank you right back, that means a lot coming from you!! kay Thank you and I am also very inspired by your workout and strict adherence to your calorie intake. Ohhhh, good posture makes such a difference in a way a person looks! It is a good reminder to pay attention to mine!! Can't wait to start lifting like you and stlrsgrl!! strlsgrl How is phase 2 going for NRLW? I have a couple free sessions with a personal trainer and am putting it off for a little bit so that I can get used to a fitness routine, but plan on using them to help me find the best exercises to help with my upper arms and legs! |
Kfunk, Stage 2 is rough, those Bulgarian split squats are hard on my legs, even just lunges are hard on my legs but I push through it, sometimes I have to rest for a few seconds. It doesn't help that I have had zero energy. This was soo much easier a few years ago or at least it seems like it.

I want in! I'm just starting back today so I'm not really sure where to set my goal, so I may have to adjust later.
For now, I'm thinking 25.4 pounds. G:Lose 25.4 lbs SW: 250.4 CW: 250.4 GW: 225 |
