Holding steady at 194.0 again today, so it looks like I'm not making much progress this week so far...lol. Hoping I can get some definite movement downward before the end of the month. We shall see! Not much else to report today...still holding at the top end of my range and working on getting in the gallon. Did 3.5 miles on my walk last night...will either do the elliptical or 5 miles tonight.

This whole last week has been kind of a bust for me in terms of downward scale movement, but that's okay. I take anti-anxiety / depression medication AND have an underactive thyroid, so I'm going to need to fine tune my approach for sure. That's one of the reasons that I'm going to go back to weight lifting now rather than waiting until March 15th (as I had planned). I'll still be here tracking my weight, but know that it'll likely take a few weeks before I start seeing some downward shifts again. Wish me luck!
Opheliaphoenix Thanks for the encouragement! I'm not excited about any gain but i'm determined not to let myself get derailed by a temporary bump up! I'm going to make it to goal this time! You are amazing to get that much water in! I always get 8 cups, many days 10 cups(even reached 12 a couple of times), but never a gallon.
SantaClaritaDiet I can understand that frustration of hanging at the same weight several days in a row. Look at the fact that overall you're down since you started and didn't gain! You will be successful and see some downward trends! Just keep up what you're doing! And that Spartan race, i'm impressed! I'm getting ready for my 1K walk, lol!
SlimmerMe You're making great progress and you down farther than before! I won't make my goal either but next month i'm excited to keep on losing!
flower1You are so close to your goal, you can do it!
I missed posting yesterday, work was crazy busy and I never had the chance but i'm glad since the bump up yesterday came back off plus a little bit!

Well, I knew this would happen, but it still stings to see it on the scale - I gained water weight from doing weights, yesterday. OUCH! Back up to 255! Oh, well. It's all right, I guess, as I know that it's just due to my muscles repairing. Still, it would've been nice to not have retained so much water.
Just a quick pop-in this afternoon...covering both yesterday and today, and I will catch up on personals tomorrow! Until then, I hope everyone is having a great day!
Sorry for not checking in yesterday, but I did weigh-in and the scale was up a bit to 194.2. I was feeling super low energy, a little nauseous, and just generally like crud all day...so, I ended up making it a lazy Sunday and not working out. I didn't get in more than the 2.2 liter bottle either, but I did stay on plan food-wise...and, I'd done a 6 mile walk the evening before, so I didn't feel as bad about skipping a day. Today, I'm feeling a little better and also had a mini whoosh back down to 192.0, so I'm sure that improved my mood even more...lol. I think I'm going to go take our youngest out to the library and maybe the park before doing a little grocery shopping, because I think we just need to get out of this house for a bit. A spot just opened up for the preschool near our house for this coming summer (the wait lists are long, especially in military towns!), so - soon enough - we won't have time alone like this anymore during the day because he'll be starting there and I'll be starting new classes too (switching career path to nursing), so I want to start making the most of it again while we can! Being out and about will also keep the temptation to snack here and there all day at bay...so, it's a win-win.

Hi Everyone,
Bit of a whoosh for me yesterday, and held steady today. Well it's 27th here now, so guess there's just one more day left for this challenge!! Wow. This is my first monthly challenge - i'll be back in March. Just need to decide what's achievable...
SantaClarita Excellent work on starting the lifting. It's definitely going to pay off for you soon.
opheliaphoenix Nice whoosh! Enjoy the time you have with your little one now, nursing school was time consuming but rewarding in the end!
ange82much Congrats on the loss and blowing past your monthly goal!
SantaClaritaDiet There is no down side to working out, it's a NSV that will eventually show up on the scale. You will succeed!
Stayed the same today but that's just fine with me for this TOM is much better than the last!

Up .4 instead of down. I had popcorn Saturday night which probably had a lot of sodium and then last night I had a personal size (small) pizza which also was fairly salty. The crust was super thin and was made from rice flour. I'm hoping it is only water retention and that I will drop back down.
Momtopands: thanks for the encouragement. I've still got 2 days to see if I can make my Feb goal so I'm going to stay on plan with food and exercise. Congrats on your nice drop
ophelia: congrats on your drop too
ange: awesome job on going past your goal this month
santaclarita - great job on starting with your weight training. That is something would like to start soon.
Feb Start Weight: 134.2
Feb Weight Loss Goal: 4 lbs.
End of Month Goal: 130.2
ophelia - Nice whoosh! Way to go Also, treasure your time with your little one! They grow up so fast, huh? Nursing sounds great. Good for you!
Thanks, momtopands, ange82much and flower1! You know, I really needed that encouragement to remind me that I'm doing a good thing by working out a bit harder. I do have fun lifting weights, anyway, so I need to focus on that!
