ophelia I laughed at your "grumpy, lethargic water balloon comment", I feel you there!! I am VERY grumpy though, usually I can fake my way through my day, but not so much lately!
I am up another pound, hopefully the last of the weekend fallout! Yesterday was perfectly on plan. Today I am going to try to drink even more water than yesterday and get in my workout tonight!
Back from vacation and I need a vacation from my vacation! It was pretty hard - people offer you so much crap food when you are visiting. Luckily I didn't gain - I really turned down a ton of stuff but, I did have pizza and coke the last day...still down from the last weight in before we left, hoping for a little more once the sodium has left my body from the crap food.

Weigh-in was back down a to 234.4 today, so I'm happy about that...feeling a lot less bloated this afternoon. I thought maybe I'd stay higher, because 1.) TOM is mean, and 2.) my husband - and this is a love/hate thing, lol - brought me home a milkshake last night with the rest of them. I looked up the calories, and it was almost 800 for a tiny little medium shake! Wow. That was eye-opening. But, I decided to have a little over half of it anyway, because it was sweet of him, I was craving sweets due to TOM, and I'd had a tiny lunch. So, I was able to stay under my max calories, but it was higher yesterday than I have been consuming lately. No walk last night like I said, but I'll get back to it tonight. Ophelia Happy anniversary! Yes, milkshakes are scary the amount of calories, etc. definitely a once in awhile treat, I used to regularly drink those frappe things from McDonald’s to “stay awake” basically a coffee flavored milkshake...you’re doing great.
Kfunk I think experimenting, trying new things is really important, it’s not a straight line to goal, lots of ups and downs and flats There’s always a nugget from each thing we try, I still focus on whole foods and keep an eye on carbs after doing Atkins years ago.
GardenerJoy congrats on navigating the party. It’s gotten easier for me to turn stuff down, which is good because at work we now have a morale committee whose aim seems to make everyone fat and happy they’re selling donuts and cider this week, burritos last week, Halloween party next week...
EagleRiverDee congrats on continuing to lose. It must be exciting to be so close to your goal! I,m 15 pounds away from mine and thrilled. I know you’ve been working hard towards it for awhile. Great job!

[B]opheliaB] I am glad that you are starting to feel better and less puffy! I hate the feeling of being bloated. Good job enjoying half the milkshake and leaving the rest, I am no good at moderation like that. I drank way more water yesterday and will keep on chugging it today. I have had 32 oz so far and its only 6:45 am!
[B]kelijpaB] 15 lbs. from goal, that is SOOOO exciting, I am very happy for you!!! I agree that its all about finding what works for our bodies and learning from those experiences. I am much happier the past 2.5 days being back to what I was doing before!
Slowly on my way back down... hoping I get a bigger drop before the month is over. I was really *hoping* to get back to 177 by Tuesday but we shall see. I am going to a Halloween party this weekend and I will likely be having a few drinks, but will eat dinner before I go to cut back on snacking while I am there.
Thanks for the 139 wishes, guys, I really appreciate that! I haven't weighed for about a week now. I weigh undressed in the morning before eating/drinking anything. I'm pretty strict about those characteristics and refuse to weigh clothed or after I've consumed something. I've been too cold in the mornings to strip down for my weigh-in. (I shower at night, so refuse to weigh then bc food is in me belly! ) I'll have to make myself strip tomorrow morning. I'm curious if I've gone up a little from exercising again...
kfunk - I think many of us have been there where we've mixed things up only to learn it wasn't an optimal fit for us. I think it's great that you have an experimental nature and try out new things. All of that helps you learn yourself and your body better, and personalize your plan. I admire your approach. You're doing great! I hope the weight comes off soon.

Super late check-in for the day, so I will do personals tomorrow, but wanted to make sure I still stopped in to update. I was at the exact same weight today at 234.4. I've been feeling bloated again all day, especially after a higher sodium dinner last night, but at least there was no gain! I walked 5 miles this evening to help balance that all out and have been making sure to get in at least a full day's requirement of water...going to try to refill my bottle a time or two before bedtime. Hope everyone has a great night!

I did a little better yesterday and hoping to do even better today, but I'm already way behind...lol. Glad you're starting to lose again -- fingers crossed for a solid whoosh down for you soon, as well!
Chunkah: I'm the same way! I will only weigh-in if I haven't consumed anything (save for maybe a couple small sips of water), and I always dress down....usually nude or just undies (no bra). I feel like it keeps things the most consistent and true that way.

Weigh-in was 233.4 today...my scale has been liking that .4 part lately. As long as it keeps going down in those segments and not up, I'm a-okay with it. Haha. Feeling really blah, lethargic, and even a little dizzy today, so I'm thinking TOM is at play again this afternoon. It's just one of those days where you want to curl up on the couch with a hoodie up over your face and do nothing and speak to no one, but - alas - life must go on, lol. My husband should be back from work a couple hours earlier this afternoon (fingers crossed), so I think I might take advantage of that and get my walk out of the way earlier in the day today. We shall see if that pans out! Hope you're all having a great day today.

So apparently I felt like living on the edge yesterday because I went ahead and weighed midday, even with clothes on. I feel so disoriented, like I don't even know who I am anymore. I weighed 140.6. Then this morning I weighed my usual way, and I was 141.6.
I wouldn't have predicted being higher in the morning! My guess is yesterday's was lower because it was a few hours after my workout, so my body hadn't yet replenished the water weight I sweated out. Plus, muscle soreness hadn't yet set in but it did by this morning. So that probably added some water retention to today's weigh in. Interesting data to see. Back to my usual routine though bc I think it has the fewest variables potentially distorting things.

blondie It is such a good feeling, I hope you get there very soon!! You are really close to your end goal, that must feel great, I can't wait to say that I am less then 30 lbs. away!!
ophelia It sounded like yesterday was a gross feeling day for you, hopefully the worst is over and all of your symptoms will go away very soon! Good job increasing your water! I don't know about you, but if I drink a ton, I end up getting really thirsty for it and then it becomes easier to drink a bunch.
lunkah it is so crazy how our weight can fluctuate throughout the day. I weigh myself naked in the morning (after I pee) and then before I go to bed (after I pee, in undies only). I like to see that bedtime reading to predict what I will weigh in the morning. I bet you are right and you are retaining water due to sore muscles! Good job on your workouts!!
