Not even mad at the gain, as it is was my own doing. Wallowing and snacking. Get over yourself! Back to the grind...

Labor Day:
Sort of plodding along. I have tried to ride my bike a couple of times, but I seem to have very little exercise tolerance. I don't know if something is wrong with me or if it is the low carb diet. I've been on a carb controlled diet for a couple of months, so I'd think I'd be over the adjustment period (the so called "low carb flu). I become breathless after less than a mile of pedaling. It is strange. A few years ago, I rode 22 miles in 100 degree weather. Yes, it about did me in, but I could DO it. Of course, now I'm approaching menopause. Surely 5 years shouldn't make that much difference?
Congrats to the losers! Hang in there to the rest of us!

Having a few mental health days lately, and my sleep has been off. Both contribute to stagnant weight loss and not wanting to be physically active. Hoping I can kick it by the end of the week. I have hikes planned for the next 3 sundays, so I'm hoping that puts me back into a better head space.
Trying to get back on track. If I hadn't goofed off and let my emotions get the better of me, I'd be in a whole new decade by now. UGH! I told myself I wouldn't be mad at me for "taking a break" but now I am. One day for celebration is a break. A few days for vacation is a break. A week's worth because I'm allowing myself to wallow in self pity is just dumb. Lesson learned, moving on.

gulf You are doing a great job, you are down 15 lbs since the end of May!!!!!!!!!!! Life gets in the way sometimes, but unless you quit all together you are going to be just fine. A week is nothing in the grand scheme of things. It is hard to get back on track, but after a few days it becomes much easier. (said from the gal who has been struggling since May)
I gained 9 lbs. in a little over a week, but I know a lot of that is water weight and it will come off if I stay the course. WE CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!!
The foot injury slowed me down a bit, and I didn't focus on exercise much this week. The two days I spent walking actually caused me a problem, so that's out. I have switched to swimming and chair yoga. I'm continuing to lose so that's good.
Beginning waist measurement: 42 in.
Goal waist measurement: 39 in. (or more!)
June 9 - completed first week with alternating weights and cardio. I exercised for about 20 minutes every day with 2 rest days.
June 16 - did my exercises 3 out of the planned 5 days, had two rest days, two cheat days, and got up to 8000 steps/day this week.
June 23 - did 5 exercise days/2 rest days - 2 cardio, 2 weights, 1 yoga; added a probiotic supplement; eating limited carbs and almost no sugar.
June 30 - This week - 3 cardio, 2 weights, one yoga, one rest day - switched eating peanuts and cashews for walnuts, pistachios, and macadamia nuts, added in more vegetables, still watching the sugar, trying to eliminate all highly processed food.
Waist measurement - 40.5 in.
July 7 - 3 days of walking, four days stretches.
July 14 - 2 days walking, 1 day swimming, 1 day chair yoga.

Total loss:
257.8 after work and evening walk today. Hoping to be below that in the morning. I work at 4am tomorrow and on days I work that early I normally lose about a pound and a half once I get off. Maybe I'll get lucky and be at 256 when I get off work tomorrow!
