Your kabobs sound sooooo good, weekend!! Good luck with your open house!! I am sure it will go great :D I am going to join the May exercise challenge and I think I am going to focus on getting 8k steps per day, and then go up from there. The day before Easter we cleaned our house like crazy and I got in about 7300 but normally I am in the 3k range. Thank you for your encouragement!! I am really proud of myself that Monday was good day and I got back on track. I did a water fast yesterday, and it was way harder than I thought!!! I ate dinner at 8pm on Thursday night and then ate breakfast at 9am this morning. It was a struggle getting through my work day, I was very hungry and very tired! Then I went to the store to grab a few things and was looking at the sushi and cheesecake, but I resisted. And to top it off, I got home and my husband and kids were at the neighbors grilling out. My original plan was to put the kids to bed and then go to bed right away, but ended up staying up until 10 with the neighbors. I made it through them eating and then later they made popcorn (I love popcorn). It was hard but I knew that I had made it that far and couldn't cave. I did have a diet coke and a diet Sunkist, but don't feel bad about it. webwoman Thank you! Great job on your loss!! My update is that I am down to 231.0 as of today, so I have one pound left to go to hit my goal for the challenge...I just got over a little plateau stall, so I'm hoping it will continue to go down more consistently from here for awhile. Fingers crossed! :crossed: |

Hi ladies!! I haven't posted in a while, so I hope everyone is kicking butt! My goal was to be at 250 by Memorial Day and I am at 255 right now, so I think I'm going to change it to a goal of 245, just to give myself that extra push!

Just a quick check-in to say that I surpassed my original goal as of this morning! Weigh-in was 229.8, so it was just barely. :lol: I'm going to see if it will be possible to lose an additional 10 lbs since we are moving at the end of next month - right around the end of this challenge - instead of next week. I won't be broken-hearted if I don't reach it with all the busy stuff coming up and because I already hit my main goal, but I want to give myself an ambitious "Part Two" goal to keep myself motivated during the moving process.

You are so close to your goal farn, that is awesome!! weekend how did your open house go? I am about 10 lbs from my goal and have no idea if I will make it or not. I am sticking to weighing in on Saturdays only, and I actually really like it so far! I wont be surprised if I stay the same this week. I hope that everyone is doing well! On Friday it will be 5 months since I started and I am starting to feel a bit impatient. Any progress is good, especially since I cant see myself going back to eating like I have in the past, but I am having a hard time seeing myself at my goal weight. |

Hi FitBritt :welcome2: and to anyone else I missed I am so sorry I have not posted in at least a week, the time has just gone through my fingers, literally! We are so busy, we listed our house and it is going very well but we have had showings left and right and so I am always cleaning and getting ready for that. On top of that, I have a bunch of other things going on and have not been able to be here as of late in the fashion I would like to so please forgive me! I would like to congratulate everyone on all of their successes thus far! :carrot::carrot::carrot: and also for sticking with it! Please stick together girls, we still have a whole month left! You have all been so inspiring! As for me, well things have been busy as heck and I miss my regular schedule. Last I did a WI I was the same or a bit down (no gain at least) and I have been so busy I have not even had a chance to check my fitbit but for sure I have been very active. I am not perfectly OP as I normally am (I was cooking every night at home all winter) and have had moe carbs but still have been pretty disciplined despite that fact. We hope to start grilling out, right now I am having so many showings that the last thing I want is to make a mess in the house, lol. I am striving to create a balance! I can tell you right now that even though I didn't meet my April goal I have been active and as much as my life has taken a very busy turn, I am still cognizant of my goals. We still have a month to go so let's keep it going! I love to hear from you and hear how you are doing,,,,,,,, let's keep going! I just got back from vacation this afternoon and... well, we'll see what the scale says. The last few days were a lot better than the first. The last time most of my relatives saw me was five years ago when I ate basically nothing but sugar and almost no meat, so having dessert planned out for every meal was a challenge. And so.much.sodium. from eating out as we traveled. It'll probably take a few days for my body to get back to normal and then we'll see how things shake out with the scale. I'm pretty sure I gained at least a pound, so I will need to make up for some lost time in May.

Got myself all in a funk for weighing in at 256.8 and not seeing a loss on the scale. Totally ruined my mood for the day and had me thinking negatively for the first time in a month. I moped and moped, even considered bingeing....until I looked at this thread and realized I DID see a loss! Oh good grief :-( Just goes to show how important non scale goals are. Thanks for the updates and support everyone! Think positively and keep at it. With or without the numbers, it's worth the hard work

It's nice to come in and read your news always. I miss being here. Life kind of got me! I just felt lost for a bit there but that is just it, life will always come! It's what we do with it! kfunk Thanks so much for the well wishes and asking about the open house. The real estate market is booming here. It is going well, in fact we have had showings every single day and sometimes at no notice so I am always cleaning and doing this and that and also looking a the market, incessantly! Too much almost! I miss my regular routine but at the same time and thankful for the postives and just trying to take it one day at a time. How are things with you? I miss our chats. Princess Welcome back from you vaca and I hope that you had a wonderful time. We still have a whole month ! gulfmagnolia For me, the scale can be a double edged sword..i treally depends on how things are going for me and if I feel I can mentally handle it. I have learned when and how often to weigh. Jessie The weekends always did it for me too! I hope that you are having a good week. I know everyone is so different, with me........oh dear lord.if I drink or eat on the weekends I end up maintaining (if I am lucky). The only thing that was different for me this time in enabling me to lose 35+ lbs is that I took it through the weekends. It wasn't easy and took some sacrifice but just being hones tin what took me through. NOw I need to do it again this month, I want to enjoy my summer and maintain! Hang in there and keep at it! Tabby Congrats on the 8 lb. loss, that is fantastic! :carrot::carrot: As for me, oh I have been so busy and not cooking like I was.....we are getting a lot of calls and showing which is a good thing but I don't want to make a mess. Now, things are going to have to change! There is no way I can continue getting something at the market or take out, the carbs are killing me! One of the big mistakes I made recently is not having my meal plans ladies, that is paramount! Whether on the fly or not, I need to have something planned! Working on that now. Guys, I need some serious encouragement. I am SO discouraged right now. All of April was a struggle, and now today is the third day in a row the scale refuses to budge from 153. Obviously I gained a pound and a half or so on vacation--I'm really hoping a bit of that is still water since it's TOM for me right now, but honestly it's probably not. But I feel SO chubby. Instead of feeling more fit than I did at 175, I feel even worse here hovering in between sizes, and staying here for a month is really wearing on me. I just want to cry. :( |

I honestly think you did phenomenal going away all that time and having such a small gain, You did wonderful really! I know how frustrating it can be when things stall out or there has been no movement for a while. What helps me when I am having one of those days is remembering all the progress I have made thus far. Think of all that you have accomplished and hang in there, tomorrow is a new day and you may wake up feeling wonderful. Don't let that stupid scale get you, I hope you feel better and get a chance to go for a walk or do something that give you a lift...feel better and keep at it girl :hug: |

I was looking at the calendar today and could not believe it is already the 5th but we still have almost a month to go! I am not giving up by a long shot and I hope you don't either, whether we gained, stayed steady , or whatever the case may be and if you had losses that is fantastic! Every new day is a chance for us to start fresh! I have been busy yes and but I have been thinking that life often can throw curveballs and it is how we deal with it.....that is why I am here posting now and I will keep you posted as to what happens, I absolutely REFUSE to let it get me this time! It is all about creating a new lifestyle! I am not a copy and paster but am doing this one, forgive me.......please keep in touch and keep going! Things are well just very busy but I have been thinking about things and decided that life will always throw stuff here and there, I can't just buckle. With that being said, my goal is to get into a new decade this month (was my goal last month)into the 160's. I feel good now and I know that is important but just because I am busy or this or that I don't want to throw the towel in. I am going to try.....thank god! It is so easy to gain weight back! I hope to catch you all soon and want to wish you all a fantastic Friday and weekend! |

For my part, I'm doing a bit better. It's been one of the most intense weeks I can remember, so I'm pretty happy it's nearly over. I weighed in at 152 yesterday. Either I have lost weight this week after all or I didn't gain quite so much on vacation--both options are fine by me. ;) I should be at 149 on Monday by my weekly measure, and I'm aiming for 151 (catching up by next week or the week after), so we'll see. |
Restricted my weighing privileges to Sundays only, until I can learn to NOT let the scale affect my mood. As for quitting Diet Coke, DC is winning....

Last week's cheat day hit me hard, but at least it only appears to be a half pound gain as I slowly chip away at the 3lb gain from it...

For my part... finally some good news!! Yay!!! Scale was at 150.8 this morning. Whew!! A new low, I'm SO excited. Of course, I'll have to lose two pounds a week for the next two weeks to get back on track, which is pretty ambitious for me, but I'm going to do my darndest!! |

Boater, where is it that you're selling your house, and where are you moving? Sounds like you'll get a great offer soon! I was up a bit last week but worked outside a lot this weekend and am back down to where it was. I bought a lot of healthy food at the grocery yesterday and hope to do a couple of soup and salad days this week to get ahead. I'd love to attend a couple of exercise classes at the rec center this week, but since I live alone, I need to take advantage of dry days to work in my yard. Once that's done, it's mostly maintenance for the rest of the summer. Have a great week everyone, and congrats to those who lost weight last week!! |

You did really well on vacation and not letting the scale get the best of you when you got home, goes to show that if you keep going you will have success!! -11.9 lbs. is amazing daydreamer!! gulf I also struggle with quitting diet coke, and it is even harder for me because I use it to help make it through the hard times! Work is still very busy, my personal life is super busy! I keep putting off working out, and a big part is because I don't want to, but honestly, it would be very difficult right now due to my schedule. Last week was a bit rough coming off my period. I ate as if I were in maintenance and it showed on the scale. We had a family birthday party for my daughter on Sunday and I ended up binging at the end of the day. I did a water cleanse on Monday because I felt awful on Sunday night. Yesterday I ate well but we had a catered lunch at work and I ate heavier than I normally would have for lunch. This morning I was 207.2 and am doing a water cleanse and then will go back to my normal plan for the rest of the week. I am getting a bit nervous that I am not going to make it! I really enjoyed seeing the daily fluctuations but ended up getting a bit too obsessive over it. One day I am sure I will be back to daily weighing. I am really close to making my goal for the Mother's Day challenge, but tonight we celebrated Mother's day with my family and I ate a huge meal and will be shocked if I wake up without a gain.

Serious decline in appetite these last two weeks and could feel my body 'slowing down.' Even after eating well and exercising I experienced a 2lb gain. Back down to where I was, thank God. I don't know if I'll make goal for Memorial Day but I'm not giving up :)
Kfunk I've learned that I'm a scale obsessive and must be restricted to one day a week haha! But I still cheat sometimes and peek.... Princess you go girl!!!!!
